  1. I doubt that's a reflection on the smithing skill, which, by and far is useless any more. Instead, it is a reflection on level 3 treasure trails, which bring an extremely massive amount of rune armours into the game.
  2. I've actually been thinking about it, but there are still a few things I want to accomplish before I go P2P. Thanks for the suggestions! I was also thinking about buying Coal and mining Iron ore to make Steel Bars and then sell them. My only worry there is that Steel Bars will go lower than 600gp each which will cut down my profits. If you decide to do that, you can probably "merchant" a little bit as well. Basically, take 9 iron, 18 coal and a considerable sum of cash with you. As you get in the bank, see if anyone is selling iron or coal for a low amount. If they are, buy it, and that means more profit for you.

you need 50 slayer to use the Shilo slayer master.
  4. from what I remember, Shilo gives more difficult monsters and more monsters per task, but Lost City gives more cannonable monsters.
  5. tea gives between a +1 and +3 boost, based on the type of cup it is served in.
  6. This was added in with the store update a couple weeks ago.
  7. If you read the maging guides, the technique is very similar.
  8. Alternatively, use attack/super attack pots and a dragon battleaxe.
  9. there are very few items that are only available on p2p that can be used/worn on f2p. These include colored gloves, trimmed and gilded armor and maple logs. (I know I am forgetting quite a few.)
  10. 48 prayer... yup, that's enough. Take prayer boosting gear, weight reducing gear, and a high-hitting weapon (d2h, dharok's axe, etc.)
  11. The only reason for the (excessive) speculation threads is the BTS. But without the speculation, what would we be posting on? That is the only newsworthy update in the past 2 weeks or so.
  12. fire giants and lessers aren't bad. Not great, but great monsters to train on, so best total package.
  13. thanks chainmail, i remembered thread something like that.. but couldn't find it #-o It's hidden in one of the stickies on this board.
  14. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=1933 They require slayer 56, but are combat level 81. Also, the bestiary information should include the required slayer level. The KB also lists the tortoises as level 96, not 97.
  15. It might be an admin privilege, but I'm not positive. I know it used to be used widely, but people began abusing it so it has been disabled. The best thing to do is to write the question and choices down in the thread and have people respond.
  16. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=340581 Dragons are also good, either the green or blue variants. Both are profitable, and both drop level 3 clue scrolls.

Gravel/Paul 08 (Yes I know they are from opposite parties but Ron Paul's ideology is very centrist in nature. Not that there is a left and right anymore, just a "corrupt" and "very corrupt")
  18. Range is the ONLY way to do it. With your stats, they may hit more than guthans would cover. However, if it is semi-crowded, you may be able to use bones-to-peaches and pick up other peoples bones. (This works much better at a higher level (100+ cb)
  19. If you have a friend staying in your house, you can complete runs quicker because the house will not "reset" itself. (resetting means the doors closing, etc.)
  20. it is a very luck and skill dependent quest. There are parts where you need to sneak past guards, and if you are unlucky, it could take hours, while if you get lucky it might only be a few minutes. (Or if you are skillful.) I would guess 1.5 hours to 4 hours?
  21. It is NOT worth emptying your bank for it. I have guthans, but switch between that and a whip, rune def. and black mask while on a slayer task. Guthans spear is not a very good combat weapon. It does restore health, but it is a random trigger, and does NOT use the special bar. You will still need some food if you get really, really unlucky and have a monster hit a lot in a short time on you. It costs around 200k to repair at lvl 70 smithing, but it only fully degrades every 15 hours of combat. In that aspect, it is well worth it.
  22. blast from the past? Most collections have been devalued quite a bit since last year because of the shop update. While before I could only buy 3 tinderboxes in a trip, now I can buy 27, then go back and get 27 more!
  23. you can have pickaxe handles and heads, but not woodcutting axe handles and heads.
  24. oooo, thats awsome! thanx, anyone else? I think oak trees would be even cheaper, since trees tend to give more exp than fruit trees.
