Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
pulli23 replied to Obtaurian's topic in Help and Advice
Good clan.... Though it's still a bit empty there and hard to find teams! -
hi there I got a question about the last update: Does this mean that wielding a row increases the chance to GET a clue, or increases the REWARDS of the clue scroll?
-
You mean they're priced around 1k? - and rightfully so.. They have their uses, yet are quite difficult to collect, if you need one and don't think it is worth that price just get1?
-
sone the task: 8.72 urns filled.. But without urns I doubt these are good to chin.. I think normal (melee) works better in that case!
-
Why? It makes complete sense: "slayer" is a skill that (by it's name) suggests it learn you how to kill the most dangerous monsters in runescape!
-
What bladewing said is actually the point I'm trying to get across: you don't need skills to aid you in combat anymore.. Most equipment, food and actually everything is (almost) gained as efficiently through combat as it is through skilling.. Meaning skilling becomes completely obsolete apart from "for levels".. Coupled with the fact skilling IS hurt by bots (I loved wcing... untill getting to a tree was near impossible thanks to bots), what's the point of keeping skills in game.. - As you're all suggesting we need more bots you activelly want to hurt skillers, and you're encouraging them to stop skilling!
-
just make the bosses like ice strykewyrms: you can only kill bosses when on a slayer task! if they would do this I think it would be good for a "new" master: a master from lv 90+ slayer.. Who assigns only "boss" tasks (ice strykewyrms, tds, black dragons, jad etc etc) - tasks centred around gold and little xp.
-
Please don't forget I'm chinning down there.. and I'll keep having all 6 (?) nechs on me at all times. Chinning really has a "startup" and "shutdown" time which easily halves the speed for the first 5, last 5... Als simply gathering the ashes is already a real annoyance then.. I'd have to bank every 20ish kills - or which isn't really 3 minutes (I've spent around 10 minutes inside the ct as I was teleported 5 times the wrong area -> look up where the heck I am now again -> walk again).. I'd say for me banking would take indeed 6ish minutes. With that shutdown/startup time the total time to actually kill them would also increase by 10-25%. It's more or less the question for me: "urn them or let the linger on ground"
-
Well got 20 of them for 100 gp each.. that's indeed a "bit" below mid (mid is 600-something)..
-
would 2 ssh work? - if 1 is uncovered you quickly switch to a second? Assuming this would work it would be amazing for keyers (total immunity as you won't be ever seen + mages would need 2 turns to attack you).
-
I hate skillers that complain that they aren't making as much money. They can, just as easily as the rest of us, train their combat skills and do some Nex / Bandos / etc. I'm fine with you hating everyone.. However, please answer me this: why should doing a certain activity -something which counts for more than half the game- be obsolete for a normal human? - If this was on purpose, why would those skills be added at all, why not making runescape completely combat based, having a steady supply of "goods" into the market (with the GE you won't see any difference between a regular player, a bot or jagex entering goods).. And just remove all those fishing spots, trees, ores, etc etc? Combat is the only viable thing anyways and runescape is all about combat!

I wrote a program once. But since I got banned from the rsof for asking for beta testers I decided to stop writing... My point is; don't expect it, the rs community behaves terrible when you are actually trying to make something which benefits them!
-
Hi there, I'm wondering: I'm on a nech task, and I'm going to chin them in the chaos tunnels.. However I notice they drop quite a bit of pray xp nowadays: is it worth to use "infernal urns" there? - And if so, how would I get those (and how many would I need for 140 nechs?)
-
Uhm there is: there is this magical barrier "time".. Nowadays runescape has turned into an amazing example of a game which caters towards the addicted player who is able to play 5+ hours a day at a regular pace. - People who only play like 2-3 days a week and then for 2-3 hours simply can't keep up with that.. They get "behind", their fun is getting stolen by bots, they'll get scoffed when trying to go somewhere else. And if they decide to grind their way by the time they achieved the necessary levels & equipment those things are already considered bad and obsolete!

Join a clan for it's community, not to reap the benefits!

Don't gotta worry about DDOS if you don't go to any other forums/use IRC ddossing is pretty much outdated. Any half decent ISP nowadays catches a ddos attack when the target is a consumer (which consumer would have lots of meaningless attempts at retrieving data?). So they're effectivelly trying to ddos a whole ISP -.- I can DoS many people's internet, it isn't blocked until before it is too late. The only requirement is LOIC and a better upload speed than your victims download speed. DDoS'ing is harder as you need to acquire a botnet. No you in reality you need a higher upload speed than the ISP's speed.. ISPs use throtling to make sure you can handle peak loads we experience.. So you'll have to stop the ISP from functioning
-
the mage attack is range based, they won't use it if you're close up on melee range..
-
They have no magic based attack? I just pray range and def pro melee..
-
Actually: I think the prices would rise.. F2p suddenly got a 3 times as cheap, 2 times as fast prayer training method..
-
Yet should the very best of the best armour be used by the average player? Besides, I've told several times that with the current timing mechanism (where only the half-seconds are counted that are actual combat) the equipment time is much longer then 10 hours.. (more in the range of 20 hours, maybe 30 if you boss hunt solely with these things).
-
I decided to start an actual personal analyse for this, now after 30 runs: survival rate (this excludes the my arms patch): 0.857 with juju average herbs per patch: 8.714 average herbs per living patch: 9.843 calculating could give then the "naked" herbs per patch: no juju average herbs per patch: 6.536 average herbs per living patch: 7.382

Is buying memb pins from rwt sites against the rules
pulli23 replied to ghjkl's topic in Help and Advice
Completely false. Give me a "law" which prohibits this? There is no dutch law against trading virtual goods for real goods - it is actually implicitelly allowed under the counter of selling services. Rather than hack my psot apart why not refer to the clear lsit I gave that covered this? Not meant to for resale except by authorised merchants = illegal Company running on credit card fraud and digital fraud = illegal Where did anyone ever say rwt always came from credit card fraud? As for "not meant for resale": well that is a difficult option.. As I stated in some cases people were actually able to "sell" virtual goods despite the company trying to prevent it.. (standard clause like: "all items are property of ... and you can't claim ownership").. While you can't claim ownership over single items thanks to that clause in several cases the conclusion was that the specific SETTINGS/COLLECTIONS of the items was a consumers property. So an account as a "whole" would be part of you! This is a very grey area though, and it chances from country to country (and often even between prosecutor & prosecutor). I remember though that with the last of these cases promises were made to clear up the confusion.. (And basically the goverment said: we're going to look how we can make sure the consumers own the digital goods - though that was 4 years ago and I haven't heard anything since). -

Wilderness and Free Trade will return - 17 January 2011
pulli23 replied to Noobzy's topic in General Discussion
Why is it so important for you not to call it what it is? If it makes you happy then go with it. Hell, buy yourself a T-shirt, to remind yourself how YOU brought the Wilderness back. But where were you three years ago when we really needed you? Ok, but you're saying a publicity stunt is a bad thing, while I don't exactly think so. Publicity stunts aren't a bad thing, it's just that if this particular case is purely a publicity stunt, they've mistreated the democratic process. You should never assume the results of a referendum before the referendum is held. It strikes a nerve with a lot of people, me included. It happens al the time though. IE: our parlemaint made already very thorough plans to help the navo teaching police man in kunduz.. Yet it still has to be voted for! You CANT wait till after a vote often, and you'll have to prepare anyways.
