  1. ya, you're right. The Maze. After spamming my inbox full :P Aw, and now my favourite training spot is going to be filled up with tip.iters. : P Pirates are pretty good I guess. At my level they wouldn't really be that great, but later on I'll give them a go.
  2. True, but in my experience trying to get pompous members to come to a f2p world is like trying to dam the Nile with a pebble. :wall: Not that all members are pompous - no, I'm just lucky enough that the ones I want to sell things too are always obnoxious.
  3. What do you mean there isn't? I right click on the item I want to craft and I get the option to craft 1, 5, 10 and I could have sworn there was all and or x. I could be wrong though. I haven't crafted in a day or two. As for this drop x thing. I like the idea. I would love the option to drop a number of items rather than one at a time. But then again I don't have a lot of things to drop unless I am working a skill, like cooking. However one thing I really want is a burry X option. I am tired of going through a full inventory clicking each bone one at a time. Now a "Bury X" option I would support. Prayer is so difficult to level that any advantages would be ok. I still think that a "drop x" option would make things like mining, woodcutting, fishing etc. too easy.
  4. Selling a phat set for 100k... Hey, all the cool people were doing it back in 2001
  5. Something Jagex tried to change from RSC was to make powerleveling more difficult, and this would just bring it back again. I kind of miss it, but it would also make the game too easy. Leveling stats is already easier on RS2. I would say no.
  6. Ack, I had mentally blocked out those scaring memories... Ok, so bank notes are probably high on the list. First Asgarnia, then fish, then bank notes to help USE the fish.
  7. It's a toss up between a Dragon Long Sword (for the sheer ownage factor) and the 1.4mil gold coins I have in my bank account. Ok, coins win. Those, and maybe a couple diamonds...
  8. Zammy wine. All that work to get it for so little reward...
  9. Glad to see you're not committing suicide over pixels, as too many Runescape players would do. You know what they say - always look on the bright side of life :D However, you might want to at least send in an appeal. You could always make it f2p after you get it back. Jagex actually responds to appeals - sometimes. Anyway... welcome to f2p. As long as you know how to use the ignore option, you'll do fine.
  10. Could you really do that? Way way back, it was pk anywhere. On the other thread, The Wilderness got my vote for worst update ever. :x
  11. ^If you do, I'd like the play-by-play position. :) Heck, I can't be worse than the dribble O'Brian spews out on espn's world cup coverage. :wall: Sounds like a fun event. I'll be there to watch, if nothing else. And if you need to set me up at a checkpoint, I'd gladly help.
  12. You know, the guy who originally posted that has a point... I bet Tip.It even helped Jagex fake the Zezima interview!  Funniest thread in a while.
  13. Back to the main topic - year, people have issues. I just ignore them as soon as I can. If they start to follow me... well, the wilderness is my friend. :D
  14. For a 55, Hill Giants sound like a pretty good thing to train on^^^ And as people said, if you ever really need to kill a lesser at 55, you could probably do it with food. You might end up using 3 or 4 lobs, but you could do it.
  15. Yea, f2p is an important "stepping stone" to p2p. However... The fishing guild is already in deep members territory. As for other guilds, Jagex doesn't really have much incentive to put them in f2p. Here's the probable perspective of Jagex - That f2p is mostly a way to get new members. And they also probably think that f2p has enough updates as it is, or at least to draw people into the game. They also probably think that most people who register complaints about lack of f2p updates, like this, will mostly become members. They may or may not be right about this last part. From a Jagex perspective, they really see no need to give updates to non-paying customers. As for the "we made RS what it is today" argument that is bound to come up - just so you know, you're only allowed to use that argument if you started playing before February 27, 2002 (when members was released). And that's a pretty small population.
  16. As people have said, I think that f2p is inconvenienced like this for a reason. If they put a bank on Karamaja, it would almost obsolete the p2p fishing guild. And the fishing guild set-up is a massive advantage of getting members. And as long as we don't pay for the game, we can't really ask for updates...
  17. You're all talking about these brand new updates. Best one I've seen so far is Asgarnia. :) Man... I feel old...
  18. There is no age limit, it's as simple as that. Games are played to have fun, and RS is just a game as any other. Should people stop playing chess at a certain age? Runescape is certainly as complex, if not more so, than many games played by adults. I started playing RS when I was quite young, but I still played the game then as well as anyone else. Now I'm still at the younger end of the spectrum, I guess. And I've been playing the game for well over 5 years. :D
  19. there is a world 127 though Mystery solved  And also - Five past RUNE, five past NOON. I think Jagex is trying to make a pun. Dunno. : P But here's the biggest one of all... Why does Varrock, greatest city in f2p, not have gates when Falador does :?:
  20. Alright, this is someone who's seen all 5+ years of RS... 1. The Wilderness Don't get me wrong, the wilderness itself is a fun place to be. However, it brought to an end forever the era of danger and honour that made RS one of the greatest games on the internet. 2. Fatigue This one was just a complete pain in the arse. For those of you who didn't experience this in all its glory, basically every time you did something (like fighting, fishing, or anything) it added to "fatigue". And when you got up to 100%, you had to "sleep", either using a bed or later a sleeping bag. After a while you got used to it, but for the first few weeks it was seriously annoying. Hear that Jagex, don't ever do that again. :shame: 3. RS2 Combat System As an old RSCer I didn't really like the RS2 update as a whole, but what really got me was the combat system. It made training difficult and it absolutely KILLED pking as we knew it. Running before 3 rounds of combat? Please. Jagex turned a whole generation of RSers into complete pansies. 4. Farming Does the expression "boring as watching grass grow" not exist in the UK? :wall: 'Nuff said. 5. The Year 2005 Not an update, but a movement in RS. They put Runescape on Addictinggames and Miniclip, and brought in a wave of noobs. Don't get me wrong, there are many great people who joined the game during that era. But opening the game up to the bottom of the internet destroyed the great sense of community that the game once enjoyed. When you hear RSC people talking about the good old days, they were talking about before the boom of people. This really started before 2005 - even in late 2003 it was showing signs of it. But 2005 is when the numbers really shot up, and the old RS changed fully into the new.
  21. I'll enter :D RSN --> Kewl Sabre
  22. Yea, I'll enter. RSN --> Kewl Sabre
  23. Maybe kids are getting fatter because they're lazy... whether or not it's hot outside probably has little to do with it. As for playing Runescape, I'm guessing that it's because it's a fun game, not global warming.
  24. Some of it's pretty good... F2P's songs are kinda limited, but a couple are well done. That being said, I still like my iPod better \
  25. Do you still play runescape? Yep Do you think you have a life? I don't think, I know. Runescape only makes up 1-2 hours of my usually 16 hour day. Max. That's usually time spent when I have nothing better to do (like now). I still hang out with my mates all the time, play football, and get good grades. Yea, I have a life. Do you agree with what i'm saying? No, because I think you're taking this a little far. Runescape is only bad when people get addicted to it, and play waaaaaay too much. For me, and for probably most people, it's just a hobby. And I prefer football when I can get a team together.
