Very nice: 9/10. I've been needing a thieving guide. The only minor problem is that you spelled "thieving" wrong - the whole time! Remember the rule? "I before E except after C and in words...." yada yada yada. Don't bother changing it; only geeks like me will notice.

It's a really good guide. I didn't know that trawler was solo-able! If you use imageshack for the pics, just go into the coding and remove a piece that says ".th". That puts the pic as a thumbnail.

Train def. Moss giants are good monsters to train on, as they don't hit too hard and have low def. And that'll take care of your big bones dilemma too.

You know what I've found? The only players that complain about updates being "pointless" are the ones who have done everything else there is to do in RS. Personally, I would prefer that TB@JT held off on updates for a couple months so I can get caught up on the content that's already out there. Take a look at my stats. The only one that's nearly maxed out (meaning all features use-able) is hunting. I have 123 QP, meaning I've done, at most, 1/2 of the quests. I'm not complaining about updates because I usually pay no attention to them and continue with what I'm doing. I feel fairly certain that most mid-lvl players are thinking along the same lines that I am. I would prefer that they think through their updates before releasing them, though (Hunter not being an example of mis-execution - it fills in a bunch of gaps and gives us "gadgets" to utilize).

Go to a busy f2p world and just walk in with silverlight and some food. The wizards should be fighting other ppl, just go in and do whatever you need to finish the quest. Your stats are fine.

If your mage is above, say, 75 or so, then it doesn't matter what you wear when using slayer dart. With def 70+, the ahrims should give enough of a melee protection that you dont need full rune. D'hide is good. In the long run, Ahrims is a good investment to make. If you plan on just doing barrows for fun, then don't bother (but seeing as how you have gotten 10 drops =D> , I assume you aren't a casual barrower).

Does anybody know the fairy-ring code to the new ring in the middle of the dungeon near the goblin city? If not, I'll be happy to test the unused codes and find out which one it is.

I think you did the appropriate thing. You could have politely asked him to switch worlds, then killed him if he didn't. What I would have done, were I in his position, is switched to a different world. In your position, yes, I would attack him if he did not change worlds after I asked him too. Since you were there first, it was appropriate to guard "your" territory. Bottom line: it would have saved both of you time if you had simply asked him to leave, but what you did is acceptable.

For training (e.g. slayer) go with the defender. I wasn't aware that the obby shield gave a str bonus :uhh: . If you feel like you need the extra def, use a d square. But obby shield isn't worth the price, imo. Take a look at the stats: rune kite gives better melee def, while obby shield (had a hard time finding that one in the items database) has better ranged def and str bonus. Then consider their prices, and I think you'll find that thge rune kite is better. (Now, the obby shield looks cooler, but I didn't factor that into the problem.) Hope this helps!

Good start. This doesn't qualify as a "guide" as much as a "rough draft". Keep working on it. My main points have already been mentioned in above posts.

IMO, the best place to mine and keep iron is west of fally. You run to the mine, take about 1.5 minutes to mine a full load, and run back over the opening in the wall. I have a feeling they're pretty much the same.

What are you thieving from? Just put your exp in the calculator on the main website and input "53" as your target lvl. That should tell you what you want to know.
