God capes are good. Try a holy symbol if you have enough mage bonus to stay above -15 without a glory. Don't use proselyte, I suggest monk robes if you want prayer to last. If not, d'hide is fine. Don't forget to bring melee armour to get your KC up. Bring ranged pot if you're less than 70 ranged, the main reason I stopped doing barrows is Ahrim kept eating my prayer pots.
  2. Yeah, but have you ever seen a defence cape other than on the Lumbridge tutor? I haven't. OT: Once you get the whip, train atk until around 75 or 80 then go with def all the way. Tank ftw!
  3. I'm about to experiment with this and do some timings. PM me if you want exact times and I'll let you know which gives more exp per hour. I would be using the teak and mahogany trees that are southwest of CW, as I can use a dueling ring to bank quickly.

Obviously, more prayer is better. Your combat stats need to be at least 60 each, which you have. Range must be 60 or you will waste tons of p pots on Ahrim. 55 slayer and 50 mage make barrows much more efficient. Yeah, just get the slayer and you're ready to go.
  5. Mossies > Hillies spiders in SoS > experiments Take either monster on the left
  6. Personally, I prefer using the Sorceress' Garden to get herbs. KEEP HARRALANDERS! Combat potions are the best way to train through lvl 45 at least (I don't know about after that). Just drop guam and marentill and make pots out of the rest. Tarromin = serum 207 Harralander = combat potion ranarr = p pots (duh) irit = I assume super atk pots can't give you any info after that. Also, try using MTK. You can make a profit by putting 50% in flax and 100% in herbs.
  7. PC for chinchompas. Basically, you wield them and get 3 combat options: short-range, medium-range and long-range. You choos whichever fits your distance from the target. I suggest going to PC and charging the portal. make sure you have auto-retaliate off Then switch to short range and bomb the little buggers who spawn around the portal. a couple thousand chinchompas should do it, if you don't use that many, the market is pretty steady so you can just sell back any excess.
  8. Really nice bank and outfits. You might want to try training some of your skills that are around 40 or 50 and raise your avg lvl a little. Farming is a pain, but worth it; mining and smithing obviously you don't like, but get them up some too. Other than that, really good. 8/10 because your lvl difference is too big (95 fletching to 43 farming  )
  9. Theoretically it works.... But have you seen whip prices in the last few weeks? Up and down more than a roller coaster in the rockies (hehe). Be very careful merchanting whips, because one wrong guess could mean a loss of up to 100k. Also, simple supply and demand has made them go down in price, and they will continue this way until Jagex decreases the drop rate of whips. I suppose eventually they'll level out, but I wonder when?
  10. fyi, world 99 has crafters that trade 27 law for 27 unnoted ess. And every time I go there, Im the only runner.
  11. Not true, your crops grow when you're offline It probably the farming cycles, with a 5 minute cycle the times can be off by 4:59.
  12. Since you're saving for a whip, I'm not going to suggest getting a black mask (somewhere around 500k). Therefore, slayer probably isnt your best bet; I've heard ankous i the SoS give 30-40k exp an hour for a mid-lvl player like yourself. Plus food doesnt cost anything with the fishing spot right outside.
  13. Agility arena ftw! Actually, it gives decent exp. But if you don't want to do the wildy course and dont' have lvl 70, go to the arena under brimhaven. At 40k exp per hour, it's decent exp and anything but repetitive.
  14. For slayer, or any combat for that matter, inventories are simply a matter of personal taste/preferences. I use the following (approx.): cash slayer gem dramen staff (since I use the Zanaris master) Fire staff nats different amounts of food depending on my assignment. ectophial is it's a dangerous monster 5 magic boxes w/ imps As for time, well.... A LONG time, just keep at it, try to train not only melee but range/mage too. And break it up with skilling. I would guess at least 2 school months, 6 weeks during the summer.
  15. Great guide! however, more info about the defenders would be nice, i.e. how long (average) it takes to get them, how hard the cyclopes hit, etc. 9/10 Also, good find on the mage training, I'll use this.
  16. I didn't mean you, I meant Elessar3019, as he has the Support Sig. As you may have noticed, I first posted this thread in November '06. I don't think I had the BISSS link in my sig then.
  17. I support, but don't expect Jagex to put it in f2p as well. The last thing f2p got besides SoS was.... Umm.... spacerspacerspacerGive me a minute, okay!? But yeah, it would be cool.
  18. The solution: pay $5. Get members for 1 month and train agility. I believe you will get around lvl 70 without no-lifing. That takes care of the problem, and gives you an advantage. To me, this goes in the same category as ppl who want prayer taken out of the wildy because it gives other players an "unfair advantage".
  19. Slug menace - 3500 Devious Minds - 5000 Lunar Diplomacy - 5000 Eyes of Glouphrie (sp?) - 6000 What Lies Below - 8000 Those are the ones which can't be chosen. Don't use the One Small Favour exp on rcing, it's too easy to lvl otherwise.
  20. I had the same problem, try logging out and logging back in. That worked for me.
  21. There's no good way to train agility until lvl 40. You should probably stick with the gnomes until 35, then use the barbarian course for 5 lvls. After that, the agility arena is really good. Mainly it's not repetitive. Don't try the darts until lvl 42 at least, and don't ever let your agility go below 40 (i.e. 39/41 after failing the darts once at lvl 41). That's what I'm going to do and get a thousand tickets doing it! At lvl 64 (yes, 14 levels) I'll probably go to either the monkey course or the wildy course.
  22. From 63 to 80 you will get an average of 230-240 per hour. As I am only at 76, I can't tell you what you receive at 80 (5 traps). Gotsol's estimate seems a bit on the far side, I would guess around 400 chinchompas per hour. My guide (see link in my sig) will give you any other info you need. off-topic: I plan on updating it soon....
  23. Rogue's den is pretty cool, but Edgeville is a bit more entertaining.... I mean, the only thing in the rogue's den is ppl going for 99 cooking. Edgeville, probably.
  24. No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed. Lol! You gotta be STUPID to fall for that! Of course, ppl do fall for those trades, or else scammers would stop trying.
  25. Over 10 hours of logging my catches, I got an average of 225 chinchompas per hour. That took me from lvl 63 to 76. Obviously at 80 you catch a lot more b/c you have 5 traps to place.
