  1. It raises your attack and strength by 15% when you're fighting a monster that is your current slayer assignment. That means that if you have 80 atk, when you meet the above requirements, you will hit the same as if you had 92 atk. See? Downside is you can't wear barrows at the same time. I expect, if you plan on doing some heavy-duty slaying, that the investment will be worth it. I'm not sure what the current market price is, sorry.
  2. You'll have to buy your arrows, since you're f2p, but try dark wizards south of varrock. They wear robes, thus putting you at an advantage in the combat triangle. And minotaurs (lvl 1 security stronghold) drop iron arrows in decent quantities, meaning for a longer stay. I got 40 ranged in f2p ranging wizards.
  3. You could try a granite plate. Or Torag's plate, if you're doing heavy fighting. And there's always the rune plate....
  4. I'm looking forward to what you have to share. I've been deciding whether to write one like this or not, but I haven't done nearly enough quests. If you need pics from p2p quests that I haven't done yet, let me know.
  5. I'm not totally opposed to f2p'ers getting updates. Not that they should get one every month; but perhaps a few updates a year, just to keep the f2p population from leaving. And correct me if I'm wrong, but do they not see the graphical updates that are being made? And what about the game engine upgrades, and world switcher and stuff? There are plenty of updates that DO affect f2p players. I am of the same opinion as Buckeye: I don't really care whether f2p gets a bunch of updates or not.
  6. I have a suggestion: SPELL "THE" CORRECTLY! It's really annoying to try to decipher writing like that, especially in the guides section of the forums.
  7. Higher ranged means that rangers wont be able to hit you as much. Ranged isn't necessary, but helpful.
  8. OK, thanks for the replies, mixed though they might be. Can 2 brothers spawn at the same time, like 2 brothers spawn when I open 1 door? I didn't think it was possible. And if Ahrim or Karil is my tunnel, I just do the run like most people and kill everybody in their crypts.
  9. Hmm, not bad. 7/10. Maybe a map or two detailing how to get there. Are they faster than at the member's dungeon?
  10. 9/10. Very good. Just add a pic or two of equipment setups. Nice find, I never realized there were mossies over there.
  11. I was thinking about how to save prayer pots at the barrows and I thought to myself, "self, why don't you kill the mage and the ranger, then find whose crypt contains the tunnel. Then you could go down there and safespot ALL the melee brothers." Any reason why this wouldn't work? Basically, this is what I'm saying: 1. kill ahrim 2. kill karil 3. dont fight melee brothers, just find tunnel 4. go to tunnel and use ladders and rocks to safespot 4 melee brothers
  12. What lvl are you? Your sig says 60 and you need 63 to catch reds. Check my guide (link in my sig) for more info on how to catch reds.
  13. I don't think a normal person could get up to 50k exp a day. 30, maybe, but not 50.... It'll take a while. That's 1/2 a million exp, meaning 500k monster hp. Just keep at it, and take breaks to work on some other skills once in a while.
  14. Cannonballs. Or try buying coal and iron at the market price, and smithing them into cannonballs and then selling.
  15. Bingo. Check out my guide (link in my sig) for more info.
  16. ^- look at topic -^ I was trying to light my bullseye lantern for the first time and it said "nothing interesting happens." So I examined the lantern and it tells me that there isn't any lamp oil in it. The item database doesn't have anything on lamp oil, and neither does the crafting guide. Help me!
  17. The scrollbar on the text box of the first one is off a little (not to mention the text is 1 font-size too small). Other than that, very nice ideas. 8/10 for both of them.
  18. Not bad. I personally prefer to use the house tele or the fairy ring, though. And if you're trying to get to the lighthouse to retrieve a holy book, then you can use a games necklace to tele to the barbarian outpost and go over the rocks. But 8/10, well-written.
  19. Here you go. Try hunting autoers if you have 60+ woodcutting. Or clue scrolls.
  20. Just get a routine that visits all the allotment patches. Keep planting the highest-lvl plants you can and those lvls should go pretty fast. Don't forget to match your flowers to the allotment crop so you don't have to worry about disease!
  21. Try here for a list of monsters that are commonly "dharok'ed". Explosive potions are the favorite for lowering HP. Just be very careful that you don't lower it too far :wall: .
  22. It doesn't stock them. If another player is stupid enough to sell it there, then there will be one, but otherwise, no.
  23. Scroll down to the bottom of this section to see the repair costs and locations for any set of armour at (0). Alternatively, if your smithing is 60 or higher, you can repair the armour at your workshop (on a high-lvl stand, I think) for less. At smithing lvl 99, it costs only 165k to fully repair your armour.
  24. They'll still be pretty slow at 69. Try Catherby if you want somebody to talk to; or the gnome stronghold, on the SE side, if you are absolutely certain you won't go insane  .
