6/10, not bad. You could perform some simpler calculations and tell everyone how many logs are needed to reach lvl 99, how long it would take to burn them, stuff like that.

to tell you the truth i liked how it was in RS1. They wouldn't announce the update there was just a system message and the excitement would build lol It would definitely get rid of threads like this one! Yeah, it might be interesting if they did that once in a while - just release something without telling us about it or previewing it 3 weeks in advance.

Is it worth sacrificing so many hours of your day to be at the computer? Looking back, would you rather not have spent (I'm not saying wasted) all those hours at the computer, and rather with friends? Sorry that's two, but I had to ask both of 'em.

There's a reason all skillers are nice ppl: you can't have a short temper and get lvl 99 woodcutting, it just takes too much patience! But yes, I agree (I'm a nice person, too, just trying to get 70 attack to wield a whip right now).

how about just add another box at the bottom that says "Stackable: yes (or no, depending on the item)"

Ecto is slightly higher exp than a gilded altar, but takes slightly longer to do, so... whichever one you choose. But definitely dragon bones.

Um, not to burst your bubble, but it would take 2 weeks of non-stop playing to get 99. That's 2 weeks straight at the computer. Maybe you should change your title.

Very good guide for f2p rune miners. I nominate for AoW. 9/10 - try to make headers a little more noticeable (I use size 16 font).

So why not use slayer dart? What advantages does Air Blast have over the traditional spell? Does it do more damage? It doesn't take as high a magic lvl to cast, so most ppl would assume its not as effective. Perhaps do a few runs with slayer dart vs. air blast and see which one is better. I'd be interested to see... And if the only reason you use air blast is b/c your mage isn't high enough, then it only takes 10 or 12 runs to get it up 5 lvls or so. But the Burgh de Rott thing is a really good idea, maybe post on the "updates and corrections" board and get credit for it in the guide on the main site!

I beg to differ. You can drink a certain drink (forget the name currently) that will change random stats, sometimes killing you. It has been recorded that someone's str went above 130. I don't know how hard you could hit with all the other bonuses added in, but I'm pretty sure it's above 102.

Hutchdown, thank you for providing alternate methods of leveling. I admit that I did not include all the possibilities, only those that seemed best to me. In my opinion, you learn most when you question the thinking behind anyone who professes to know a lot in a certain subject. Not only did you learn, but I have discovered some new ways to train hunter (lvl 69 as of last night WOOT!). BTW, I'm sticking with chinchompas; I have 1,130 right now, and they sell for a total of 904k.

That's awesome! I'm a geek, so all those formulas are really cool. Thanks for putting that together! Now I'm gonna get off the computer and do my chemistry homework (logarithms - woot!).

There's really no "poverty line" in RS since nobody has to eat or pay taxes to stay alive (unless you count members' fees), so I don't think anyone can be considered as "in poverty". Just poor (like me). And if you've ever tried mechanting, you'll know that the items' worth don't always equal the money in the game. This weekend I could've counted over 100k bs being sold on the official forums, and only about 15k being bought. Next week it could be different. It varies depending on the day (and any recent updates make it change slightly too).
