  1. That's what really defines jagex. An idea done wrong, but always subtly giving us a false hope that they'll make it better for it to be worth it. It either never comes, or just is useless. Look at the skill you have now, because things aren't going to get much better.
  2. Way to represent, Dark Dude. :P
  3. Sounds like it might be another skill I'll just level with tears of guthix til about 50.
  4. Wow. Just wow... :( At least I'll be out of school for it.
  5. It doesn't. It just represents the idea of acting on emotion rather than logic.
  6. It used to be the most expensive item in the game... :(
  7. But it happened outside of school and has no bearing on what goes on in school. That should be outside of the school's jurisdiction. i don't agree. First off, what if a kid decides to go to school drunk? and maybe hits another kid on the way, or just acts like a jack [wagon] there. Unlikely but possible. Also, if someone got a hold of alcohols at such a young age, what else can he get a hold of? Thirdly, if a person can so easily break one law, how many more laws can he break without his own concern? If the kid is in school and is drunk, yes, that's a problem. But in this case, the kid wasn't in school. As for what else a kid can get at that age, what's it matter? Sure it's illegal, but that's not the school's responsibility. If it doesn't happen at the school, the administration shouldn't play a part. I know you're against underage people breaking rules, but why should schools play a role in this? It's just not their responsibility to enforce these things.

  9. Yeah, use zamzar.com or a greasemonkey type firefox extension.
  10. Thanks so much SFG! I've spent the past hour trying to find it and would've gone crazy not knowing what it was. :P
  11. I'm glad the Buckeyes lost. :P Side note - anyone know the name of that song playing right at the end in some other language like latin? Whenever I hear it I have no idea how to find what it's called, and it's killing me.
  12. What I'm saying is that non of the republican front runners are really conservatives, nor really republicans (or what republicans used to be). Look to Ron Paul for what a real republican is now. Wonder why his views differ so much? It's because he represents what the republican party has lost. Mainly adhering to the constitution. What I mean by putting us back is people like Huckabee denying evolution, saying things like a women's Role in Marriage is to "Graciously Submit", wanting the ten commandments in the white house, suggesting AIDS patients be isolated, saying things like: Those are all linked on that last page I posted. While I'm sure a few are biased, my point is some has to be true, and a lot of Americans are tired of that kind of view. We don't want this nation taken back for Christ. Religion should not play such a role in making political decisions, and all of those things I mentioned are how we'd be going further back. 100 years may have been an exaggeration, but we do have a lot of catching up to do from the past 8 years.
  13. Oh of course they'll distance themselves from Bush. Why would they want to be associated with the biggest failure of a president, with under a 25% approval rating? Without even comparing them to Bush, they still have the same neo-con views. For Huckabee any links on this page and especially page 2 will tell you what I don't like about him. I mean if you want abortion illegal and the country to go back 100 years and tie religion into politics he's your guy, but that's not my thing. But I hate the status quo. I hate what the neocons are doing to our country. I want drastic change, and just taking the republican politicians on their word that they won't be like Bush isn't enough for me. Even Clinton isn't enough for me. What we need is a big overhaul to the status quo in this nation and to move forward. Also, irrelevant to what I'm saying, but I got a laugh out of this (regardless of if you like him or not, the two guys look similar)
  14. I'm really glad Obama won, and how poorly Hilary did. Pretty disappointed about Ron Paul not placing 3rd though. I'm definitely not a fan of Huckabee right now though. Although the thought of any republican other than Paul getting elected pretty much scares me equally.
  15. My question is why don't hackers move on to other games? Sure I guess they get their weird high from hacking someone and dropping the stuff, some kind of accomplishment, but why hack on this game? There's no tangible benefit for them, so after that first hack, why continue hacking on runescape? There are other games where they'd at least get something out of it.
  16. I go to Michigan, so of course I watched the game. This was so huge for the team, and was especially great since we weren't favored to win. I'm glad the seniors finally got a bowl game win, and Carr got to leave on a good note. It was great seeing him so happy and relieved after winning the game. The end of the season (and really the whole season) was a mess, so it was really good ending the year like that.
  17. So what, they forgot to update the site? That has nothing to do with their real legal status, which is probably automatically renewed.
  18. Wow, you're acting like muted people are the scum of the earth and shouldn't be allowed to trade like everyone else? If they were that big of rule breakers, jagex would have banned them. Stop trying to find something to get worked up about, it's no big deal. I'm surprised you could even come up with that weird viewpoint.
  19. Dear God... No, those are not the same thing as PK'ing. PK stand for Player killing. You kill other players in the mini-games. I see no real difference in it, other then you do not get items from the people you killed. Correct me if I'm wrong. That is precisely the point. 1. Bounty hunter is full of 1 itemers, there's one huge team, it's all multi combat, and there's the wretched 180 second pick up penalty. 2. You could do all of the other things you mentioned before the update. NOBODY considers that real Pking... You are entitled to your opinion, as am I. I find it the same, because I found Pking to be the about the thrill attained from killing someone, not just the loot. For me and some others, it is the same. There's no thrill if there's no risk. If nobody has loot to lose like our current situation, it's just like killing a NPC. You have swarms of people teamed together just picking off individuals. It's not worth it or even fun being on those teams, and it's annoying not being able to find individuals worth killing who will just protect their item. It's just a shell of what used to be.
  20. It's funny how quickly everyone's been convinced that this is best for the game from reading responses. It just took a few weeks and already they see you as being a stubborn complainer, just telling you to get used to it. I don't think that's the right course. Props to you for standing on principle. Half the people staying around even though the game isn't near to what it used to be are only not because they agree with what the game's become, but because they're so hooked on it they'll settle and keep playing no matter what jagex does to it.
  21. Marrentil, cadantine, mahogony, teak, and silver all seem like they have the potential to raise the most at this point - might be worthy investments.
  22. Runescape had its time. While the game will still grow in players, the rate of growth has decreased drastically. It has a market, but the market for the game is decreasing as people realize other games are just better. Undoubtedly it will be around awhile. I just don't see much room for growth.
  23. Eh, to a lot of us, it just comes down to principle. Whether or not things are ok after this wave doesn't matter. Jagex has taken an extreme stance, and who will know what'll happen next time they need to eradicate a problem? Whether or not we can make due with the changes has little to do with the fact that they changed what made runescape the game it is. Sure, most people will keep playing, but that's because like the guy stated - they're already hooked on the game.
  24. You have an opinion. That's great. But since this thread has nothing to do with south park or any show on tv other than family guy, who cares? Imagine if people did that for everything in the world. Tell me I wouldn't be alone in being annoyed? I thought it was alright, just nothing special. It felt like a really long episode rather than a movie. I just didn't think they really stepped up for it.
  25. Enough with the Show>another show>another show's. Any thread about family guy or the simpsons or anything always has to get those dumb comparisons. And honestly nobody cares which shows you prefer over family guy and which you think aren't as good. Not one person. To the point - I love family guy for the reason you're not so sure about it. Just because it's so edgy and offensive. In a world where everyone is so uptight about always saying things the right way, it's a breath of fresh air. The last season hasn't been as great as others, but I still stick with it and love the show even though a lot of my friends have stopped watching new episodes because they think it's gotten worse. Although there isn't much plot to most episodes, I still love the style of the jokes and the sense of humor to the show.
