  1. I disagree with that. George Lucas created a universe with limitless story possibilities. There are plenty of great books before and after the 6 movies that could be made into shows or movies. The recent anime episodes are a great example of this. In the right hands, Star Wars can really be expanded in different directions for years to come.
  2. I had high hopes for it. I planned on seeing it, but it took a lot for me to decide to skip it out. Everywhere I've heard it's just terrible.
  3. 1. I feel like I have physical, rather than a mental case of ADD. Even if it's just a muscle, I have to keep some part of my body moving/fidgeting at all times. It's a challenge to be conscious that I'm perfectly still and see how long I can go without moving any muscle. 2. When walking on surfaces with any divisions (cracks, tiles, etc), I try to only step in each tile or shape made by cracks once per step.

Party hats have become like American houses. Great conditions allowed early buyers to jump on an item that would grow and grow in price until conditions shifted. Now, they're impossible to sell because of sudden economic changes.
  5. I was there. All us freshmen sitting together were pumped for our first game, expecting to see in person why Michigan's so legendary. Then we get that game. We get burnt on the field, then hours later realize we all got terrible sunburns. It was a pretty depressing day.
  6. I think companies over-complicate software in attempting to make things more user-friendly, but computers are nowhere near being too advanced.
  7. I'm hoping to see good things from Michigan on this rebuilding year. I moved about 20 rows down too, even more reason this year will be better than last. But really any game will be better than last year's opening against Appalachian state.

There were so many lead-ups to amazingly funny situations in the movie. Go see it. :)
  9. I quit for 4 years and only just came back too, I didn't lose any items. People will just tell you to read the updates from when you quit, that's what I did, it filled in quite a few blanks. You've been back playing since May? When did you start posting here again? I missed your ... cynicism from the boards.
  10. Yeah, it's definitely become a skiller's game. More skills, quests, and minigames fill the void that used to be taken by things like pk'ing, merchanting, and dueling.
  11. Video games in general fit the nerd stereotype. Runescape, as an MMORPG, is even further along the nerd spectrum just because of the way it's played. But I don't think it's so much the game you play as much as how much you play video games. Also, I don't think playing it makes you a nerd since I don't believe in labels. It may be nerdy, but it doesn't make someone a nerd.
  12. There's a constant battle between RWT'ers and Jagex. Jagex dealt a heavy blow to RWT'ers, but there's only so much Jagex can do. There will always be some minor form of RWT, but as it is, things are fine. If they were to try to wipe out every method of RWT, they'd destroy what's left of the game.
  13. My favorites: Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher, Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno, Demetri Martin, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, BJ Novak, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Frank Caliendo, Will Farrel, Ellen DeGeneres, Lewis Black (in small doses), Mitch Hedburg (RIP), and George Carlin (RIP). The only comedian I dislike is Carlos Mencia. But that's a whole other story.
  14. I finally gave in after a few years of owning phats and put two of mine (green and purple) in the GE two months ago. Still waiting, but I hope what you're saying is true.
  15. I like the New Zealand accent a lot, although that might just be from watching a lot of flight of the conchords. British accents are nice too. Another accent you don't hear much anymore is the transatlantic accent. Everyone in old black and white American movies spoke in it.
  16. It's been a running thing that Jagex will never introduce horses, but that was in rs1. With the engine they're running at right now, I don't see how horses couldn't be technically implemented. It's unlikely, but not impossible.

Anyone have a link of the opening ceremony or any live streaming video?
  18. I live in the same subdivision as Barry Sanders. :)
  19. I've been lazy about it, but finally got around to posting a picture. [hide=][/hide]
  20. Favorite Movie Soundtracks: John Williams: Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, ET, Superman, Schindler's List, Harry Potter. Danny Elfman: Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Black Beauty, Men in Black, Big Fish, Hulk, Spiderman Howard Shore: Lord of the Rings, The Aviator, The Departed Hans Zimmer: The Lion King, Gladiator, Batman Begins(&TDK somewhat), Pirates of the Caribbean Clint Mansell: Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain Favorite Videogame Soundtracks: Mostly Nintendo games: Anything by Koji Kondo: Zelda, Mario, etc. Either the songs just stick with me playing them for so long or they're just great music. Either way I love most of those soundtracks. As well as games like Tony Hawk (2 especially) with background songs. They just stick with you. Of recent memory is the No More Heroes theme.
  21. I stopped actively playing over two years ago, but the determining factor that pretty much ended it for me was the removal of wilderness and end of free trade. I don't feel like I quit runescape. I feel like the runescape I played no longer exists. It definitely seems like rs has unofficially become rs3 over the past several months.
  22. Awesome, "jump-in jump-out" ideals. RS became too time consuming for me, so this game focused on a more adult audience with less time on their hands sounds great.
  23. Someone's lack of grammar should never be used against them in an argument. It may lower their persuasion and credibility. But what's more important than proper grammar is how well you convey what you're trying to say to others. That usually includes proper grammar, but it's not always necessary.
  24. As for exercise, it's great to do during the day, but it won't help you fall asleep if you exercise right before bed. Often it gives people another wave of energy.
