Good luck spending your life blaming the object of your addiction rather than your personnal choices in life.

Why does Jagex get new skills so wrong?
Almost all skills released after classic have been reworked after release because some features were not thought through... Slayer: could not change task Runecrafting: way the talismans worked Farming... not so much change Construction: some early devastating bugs Hunter: not so much change Summoning: price of shards and renewal of familiars Dungeoneering: price of rewards We are still beta testing Dungeoneering... this is how this game is played, I don't mind it at all if Jagex reacts swiftly like they did this week.

Retirement
I tend to not value retired players opinion much... They usually have no grasp on the current gameplay to have any impact on an argument. I'm also aware that lots of "retired and semi-retired" players actually play the game and only live in denial.

200M in all Skills
The world will die... OT: I hope gertjaars will get it but the problem is I can't find him in the highscores so I think he changed his name. S U O M I is also a good contender with her slow 200m skills gertjaars is now Mauves Army

A new maximum level?
Seeing as this is a PVP problem and PVPers represent a small fraction of RS playerbase, players like you quitting would not have a great impact to the game. I agree this would screw up PVP, but since I choose not to PVP, I wouldn't mind very much.

200M in all Skills
totaly agree and duffy trains for ranks not xp meaning he does slower skills, so evnetualy those others will run out of fast skills and hell maintain his pace What's more impressive is that Duffy has maintained that feat for the last couple months, while Zezima did it and chose not to maintain it. We'll have a better picture of that race once all the top players max out dungeoneering. This race is somewhat on hold at the moment.

200M in all Skills
I think Kingduffy gets neglected a lot in this topic. This guy (or girl, I ave no idea) has every skills ranked under 100, this is something that hasn't been done since Zezima did this a couple years ago when there was less competition at the top. This means Kingduffy has some slow skills already in great position towards 200M. I believe Aasiwat and Zarfot are the biggest contenders though as well as Jdelacroix. I have no idea what to think of Gertjaars at the moment, I thought he was going for the most 200M skills at some point but he seems to be leveling some skills at random recently (slayer, WC and finished up Constitution lately). I believe no one under 1,5Bil XP is a threat at this moment also.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I agree with your last sentence. Jagex needs more input from players and testing. They implemented great rewards with this skill which means they understand what their playerbase want but they screwed up in the way you can obtain these items which means they don't understand how their playerbase play their game... I have hope that this skill will be great in the end, when the playerbase has finished testing this beta skill and changes have been implemented.

New RuneScape Main Page
I have no problem with her chest, it's pretty realistic considering she probably never took the pill and gotten her hormones screwed... My problem is with her neck... damn that'S a long neck!

Dungeoneering now the new slowest skill to level?
With the kind of rewards available, I don't think you'll see many players turning tokkens into XP...

70m Agility XP. Rank 10 Agility!
Weird account, but grats on the achievement, not something I'll ever reach...

RC Exp in Dungeoneering
They should have let the 10 xp per craft, but boosted up the number of runes crafted at once to 50. This would have lowered the time spent RCing in dungeons while not broking the XP gained.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Little question here concerning Icefiends... What is the best way to kill them, to actually inflict damage on them... Are they weak to fire or something, because with a protherium (sp) maul and max melee, I barely hit them, even the low level ones (60 something)....

= New Chaotic Items =
You are, Rapier will rip Corporeal into pieces. 1,5x as fast as a Zamorakian Spear, +9 stab bonus, +26 str bonus. Thanx, I usually am, but the overwhelming number of people stating new crush bonus and corp made me lose confidence a bit...
-
= New Chaotic Items =
Everyone keeps saying crush vs corp.... I always thought he was weak to stab... Who's right?

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Wanna hear something even more bizarre? Even if we gained tokens at a rate of 1:1 per experience point, the lvl requirement would still be 50+. Because of this, I don't believe they have finalized costs or the rate at which we receive tokens. I'm expecting many updates within the first couple weeks. 10% free casts on spells that use them. I found a thread on the RSOF that explained how these staves are completely useless if one was to use them for high lvl alchemy. It went something like you save 250gp with the nature staff, 1 in 10 runes saved - but with the fire staff you save 50 fire runes totaling a savings of 500gp. In other words, high lvl alchemy just doubled in cost with respect to runes. Same went with the law staff. More math errors by Jagex. And these errors could have been avoided so easily if they took the time to review them before releasing. Overall though I'm enjoying the new skill/activity and am saving for the combat gear. edit... misread completly that reward... I'm ashamed!

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
This is a good point, but Qeltar's point that the rewards are obtainable way before you have enough tokkens to buy them is also a very valid one. I mean, getting 200 xp for 15-20 minutes work is very frustrating, even though the team-play is very cool even when playing with complete strangers and one of them seems to be afk. I'm also gonna reserve judgement for when I reach higher levels.

Dungeoneering - New training methods for other skills
No one is forcing you to reach that level by the way... I do sometimes wonder if people like you know they have a choice in life...

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I dont see it as a huge problem. The entire Rewards page refers to objects that are for use outside of Daemonheim. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/dungeoneering_rewards The only comments I have about this are that there really aren't many rewards there. And further, the highest level reward is 80. Leveling dungeoneer past 80 will only result in benefits in the dungeon zones. If you enjoy the dungeon experience, this skill will be great for you. If you dont find genuine enjoyment in playing this skill, the rewards will take a lot of work for minimal payoff. EDIT: By the way, holy crap how did I not notice the Tome of frost till now? It gives infinite water runes. Combine this with a staff of air, and we officially have the first way to cast elemental spells and consuming nothing but mind/chaos/death/blood runes. You could always cast elemental spells while only consuming mind/chaos/death/blood.... air spells with air staff... I know what you meant there, you just phrased it incorrectly.

Dongeoneering collateral XP
Thanx guys, I wasn't planning on training other skills there, but rather judge if the marginal XP was sizeable. Any XP would be welcome and it seems I'll get what I seek there.
-
Dongeoneering collateral XP
I haven't played it so far and I was wondering how much collateral XP in other skills can you get when training Dongeoneering? I know it depends on what complexity you choose from, but how much can you expect at high levels (base skills, not dongeoneering...)

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
So.... Max lvl is now 2496?

A new maximum level?
I really can't imagine this going down particularly well within the community. Many people will be furious that they got 99 in a skill and they're no longer the best they can be in it. It's certainley interesting. Many players will be happy that training a skill they liked training to 99 will open up for new levels....

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I guess I'm gonna jump up a lot in ranks if everyone claiming they are done with the game really quit... Fine with me tbh!

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
This pretty much hits the nail on the head. I think a lot of oldtimers are going to quit after seeing this -- probably myself included. Not out of outrage or anger, just because it is crystal clear that Jagex is taking RS in a direction very far from why many of us used to play it. The rewards from this "skill" are powerful enough that you'll be at a significant disadvantage if you don't get them, but the idea of spending several hundred hours in that hellhole -- especially "teamed" with groups of random morons -- is far more terrifying than any boss. I haven't tried it yet, but is it really that bad? I assume I'll never like some skills, but a skill combining every skills should appeal to me.
