  1. All skills getting better training methods in the next couple kills : likely. All skills being as fast as cooking and firemaking are these days in a couple years : highly unlikely. Look at slayer, in 4 years it went from a 12-13k per hour max to 18-25K per hour max on average with the new equipment. That's doubling previous standards, but nowhere near the rates you can get with the fastest skills.
  2. grats, 99 ranged is very impressive for a 3 years old. Good luck with pre-school!
  3. One more factor if we look at gertjaars' XP, his summoning right now is deflated because of the fact he hasn't used any of his charms from slayer, magic or ranged training. I'm pretty sure there's a 20-30 mil XP sleeping somewhere that could be had within a week only with blue charms. I predict he will break 2 bil XP before the next skill is released.

I also don't know how botting works, all I know is there is/was evidence of them affecting the economy. As for quest, I have no idea, your guess is as good as mine.

We are on agreement on that point, slightly. Not so much here though, half the skills are money sink, while the other half are at the opposite side of the fence. The pinciple of quests is to get rewards, the principle of getting xp...well it's to get better levels. Non questers are just doing that, getting better levels, that is their reward (higher combat level, skill capes and better position on the highscore). I agree, then why is it so important for you then? If only high levels can trade more and these are the players than mainly don't need an additional 100K, why would changing the mechanics be so important? Are you talking about extended trade limits or absolute free trades for high levels? I don't mind that much higher trade limits for higher levels but absolute free trades for high levels is a no go from my perspective. There are too many high level accounts out there (both active and retired) that could hand up into RWTers hands and macroers and goldfarmers would once again roam the planes of RS.
  6. I understood the first time around, you seemed to have missed my point though. Why would I sign a petition to something I DISAGREE? You asked us to sign even if we disagree, I don't see the common sense with that. So far though, you have not suggested reasons as to why Jagex should do this, except to catter to old school pkers. You blindly rejects the reasons why these changes were introduced in the first place. You even go as low as to suggest only intelligent game makers would have kept the old school pking while making sure RWT was impossible. So far, I have seem no valid suggestions from you, only some kid's wishful thinking that "the past will come back if we wish it very hard!". My prediction is that your petition will fail like the hundreds we have witnessed in the last 20 months.

Someone would probably bot to gain money to later sell to someone else, that's what macroers and goldfarmers were all about. A lvl 99 wc bot might have more experience and levels than a quester, is that bot more experienced? You only seem to view that problem from the side of the gold buyers... there are plenty of them in the game but they have been made silent due to the impossibility of getting substantial money from sellers. If you make the trade limits respond to xp and levels, you will yourself surrounded once more by goldfarmers stealing your trees or combat spot. Unless you meant keep the trade limits but make them evolve with xp and level only. For my part, I think questers don't have enough rewards for doing all those quests, changing this would be a slap in the face to these players.

Pures and skillers choose to limit themselves... I find xp to be unfair because it doesn't "show" how long a someone has played. I wouldn't mind if it was a formulas based on QP, XP and Total level, but with the QP giving a higher % of the trade limit. I didn't say skilling was not earning it. I meant getting cash from someone else is not earning your own cash. You mean someone already cheating would not cheat with another mean if he had the opportunity? RWTers used to do both at one time when playing RS was a chore having to compete with bots and goldfarmers...
  9. A lot of people didn't have 200M Stats a few years ago so the Top 21 Ranks were available to get : \ 8-) *Points to my sig* I'll be playing for the next 15+ years since I enjoy this game & play at a decent pace. Hey weren't you the first or second to 2 and 3 skills with 200M xp? I was following your progress last year and thought you had quit. What are you training these days?

Wasn't really hard to contradict your statement. I really think QP requirement for bigger trade opportunities is a good move by Jagex. It makes players do quests which take time and skilling time prior to do doing them, a nice reward for those who invest some time in the game. It gives new player a goal to reach of they want more from their friends. It also makes it fairer for those of us who don't have same player interaction between 2 accounts. It means that what you have is basically what you earned. What's wrong with that?
  11. I think we'll have a clearer idea when Jagex will release the new skill. If it's a fast paced one like most secondary skills, this will not slow down the true hardcore players, but if we get another slayer or summoning... this will certainly make that "goal" out of reach. At the moment, I don't see it happening before 7 years with the set of skills we currently have, add 1 more year per new skill at least. We'll see the probability of this happening in 4-5 years if the player base is still pretty big and active.
  12. I have to admit of being guilty of trying to "force" my methods on others sometimes while I could just offer advices.
  13. Junk? brawling gloves are certainly not junk and artifacts are a great way to make a lot of cash through skilling. Not really, I'm fine with the new system. Why would I put my signature to something I disagree to?
  14. I agree that everyone should have an open mind when coming to either debate or rant on these boards. Sometimes though, arguying with logic will result in someone being right. I don't mind changing my mind WHEN proven wrong or at least not 100% right. As an example, I thoroughly denied every point of Jrhairychest on his debate regarding Pmods for about 4-5 months up until Jagex changed their policy about Pmods publicly. I conceded a lot of merit to his arguments after that even though they were based on generalisation, they tended to show the truth or at least a "malaise" with Pmods. Ohhh and if when facing logic you need to throw your head on the wall, you might have a slight problem arguying with me...
  15. Nice suggestion. Two things though: remove the auto cast part as with the new update this is nor relevant. - The slayer headress should have at least the defensive bonus of the slayer helmet (mid 20s I think instead of the +5) All in all, would be a very nice and unique update.
  16. I can't believe I haven't seen that thread yet as I am a huge fan of either the rants or debate forums. I don't expect everyone coming to the rants forums to be an educated person with detailed arguments to expose his/her point of view. But I expect everyone coming here to vent or debate to be prepared to be challenged. There are things we cannot debates, tastes and likes are an example. If someone comes here to vent : I don't like the new update, it doesn't catter to me and I find the game boring, I can't really argue with that. But if this person comes here to tell me the game was better before this or that, then it's either a matter of opinion or this person seeks a challenge (someone to tell them they are right or wrong), then I have every right to post my arguments with logic (an aspect of life not everyone has mastered it seems). As for the repetitive arguments, what can you expect when people seem to rant about the same stuff over and over again. This game is player by teens mostly. You have to take that into account whe judging the general behavior of posters on this fansite. I don't expect them to have much experience in life expecially towards business (which is why lots of players don't understand many of Jagex moves - young F2Pers are a very good example in this case), I don't expect all of them to have proper writing and composing skills (some have English as their second language like me) and some are simply not prepared to be challenged (some of these posters will sometimes tell you to GTFO my thread simply for proving them wrong). I wish the rants forums were better, but I don't expect it to change that much. One of our biggest loss was Compfreak. Praying to the fairies out there that we don't lose anymore of our most prominent "ranters".
  17. Someone has forgotten Monkey Madness I suspect.
  18. Tyvm, that is a very good reason to do the quest.
  19. What kind and how many ores are there in the new mine? Last release or a runite ore was fremenik isles right?
  20. Ohh I get where you are going. Bonus charms per day through an A-D would not be a bad idea. What I am against though is straight up player trading.
  21. Well I don't like it because it would make summoning like any other buyable skill out there, except very expensive like construction. I like the unique way summoning is set-up.
  22. That would be a nice feature to add, maybe a quest reward? Though expect people to whine about it if you have to trade 15-20 gold for a blue (meaning mess xp for your charms in exchange of way faster training).
  23. Well usually an item gets a balanced price within a month. So not really years. Don't worry, the lazy term was not an attack towards you, I'm a lazy player too. I usually wait till the item is stable before buying it or get it as a drop during a task or clue or monster hunt. But really your behavior is that of a lazy rich player. You wait for the slayers, cluers or monster hunters to flood the market with items and demand to have one for a pile of GP. There's no problem with that except you have to fight with all players who are looking to buy that item while there's only a small bunch of suppliers.
  24. Yeah we are on agreement on that. Debating if it's good or bad is mostly a matter of opinion though. From a business point of view, having "willing" testers as customers is a good strategy as long as the customers keep playing (and paying obviously). They sometimes go overboard with some updates and major tweakings are necessary (meaning they messed up prior to release). As for this update, I see a couple fix there and there, but not a major one like going back to infinite stock. An example of a major and quick fix would be the bounty +1 worlds they released 2 days after the PVP revamp. That was a quick response to a gross misjudgment of their player base needs. I expect internal testers have infinite weapons and don't mind losing a pair of d claws if you get my drift...
