  1. I guess shes friends with some oldschool players.
  2. hmm yea basically like for slayer its ok to choose to do abyssal demon task alot of people including me do them for fun even tho technically they aren't an efficient task. But doing an abysal demon task with a dragon longsword would definitely get anyone laughed at.
  3. hopefully girls and Americans are underrepresented in the top 15 :( The top page used to be dominated by Americans, Zezima, N0valyfe, etc. Yea but now it isnt lol
  4. hopefully girls and Americans are underrepresented in the top 15 :(
  5. hmm interestin im pretty sure rs is looked down upon by most people tho ;(
  6. Well most of the top 15 is done with buyables that cause huge gains. besides Jake I think.
  7. yea if it was in ny they could get massively more attendants lol = more $$$$$ should balance it
  8. voted new york as i can accually go there if it is during the school year and a few online friends would actually go too. wouldnt know many people if it was in la chicago and definately couldnt go to london lol
  9. why cause he was first? so many people have more experience than zezima and yes skills were harder back in the day but I bet alot of these players would have at least gave zezima some competition if they were as serious about classic. But most people were too young/didnt hear about classic back in the day lol
  10. hmm i was a fan of n0valyfe back in the day I don't think he burned himself out he just realized that just getting 200m after 200m was not how he wanted to spend his life. Which is why most people I think end up fully quitting except for the people that already have lives Someone can be completely into Runescape then after days weeks or years of nolifing completely snap out of it. Suomi he's gotten really far and done all the slow skills so I don't think that will happen to him but if he took a break of a few months then he would still be ahead of the other contenders. But yes getting all 99s IS a much different thing than getting 200ms 200ms is the same skill for awhile and the methods of the skill never change, also 99s have a benefit in the game or have a possible future benefit while gaining exp is only for ranks and high scores. Idk maybe n0valyfe would have thrived better with more competition but he often complained about other players in the old days he self reported he played 10-12 hours per day but now days that actually is not that rare. I accually respect the early couple hundred players to all 99s - things like slayer improved alot, mining improved, and then more recently effigies that someone only wanting 99s could bypass slow training slayer, slow training rc, slow training agility, mining, fishing, paying for herblore, accually farming, accually dungeoneering ect after around 80 or so. But with 200ms its not that viable to effigy everything. All 99s has been done in 150 days but all 200ms takes 800-1000+ days of scape. But if he did one skill at a time possibly he would have been 200m all a long time ago. Because he maxed and had great stats well before Zarfot. Most players quit because of addiction and interference with rl than burnout though.
  11. lol suomis biggest advantage over everyone else that still plays as wellzarfot , elias, telmo, and aasiwat all voluntarily quit tho. It is possible to play and have a life like elvis and jd :P
  12. Nope to the first question. I am thinking behind SUOMI as he went through a lot of buyables. Idk about telmo or elias they havent been quit long enough but zarfot I'm assuming would be around 3.3b or even almost at suomis levelgertjaars had mainly easy skills and wasnt as efficient but at the same rate maybe around 3.2b or so how far behind zarfot did he quit? b4 dungeoneering he did put in the hours as well... idk with accual math tho and this is assuming that they didnt slow down either. Actually about a week ago I was curious about Zarfot myself, so I tried to do some guesswork. If Gemeos's time calc is fairly accurate, Zarfot would still be behind Suomi currently even if he had played like 15 hours a day until now. However, depending on what skills he trained, I suppose he could have been number 1 in xp now. But Zarfot and Gertjaars definitely couldn't have been 200m all already. oh so by exp Zarfot would be better but by timeleft Zarfot lower? and yea 200m all takes forever lol.
  13. Nope to the first question. I am thinking behind SUOMI as he went through a lot of buyables. 14. rs is a much more competitive game for it to work but they may add more "semi-rwt" stuff....like refer a friend and gamecard benifits but not so much a premium currency. most people that play scape like being on an even playing field and putting in many hours compared to zynga its not really about putting in many hours but more skill/buying premium stuff lol.
  15. planning to watch jagex kill it mile by mile inch by inch gradual self destruction and laugh the whole time in real time as it happens.
  16. whats reading? but iron titan also looks noobier than steel thats why
  17. yea there are so many people that try runescape and then quit because they grow up lol
  18. i sometimes log in to talk to people and check out updates after 1b exp i didnt have desire to gain exp it can quickly get addicting.
  19. Top ranked friendschats are a pain lol
  20. No, i just thought the list was for updating people on exp gains, goals etc. Anyway, are most of the inactives F2P? according to alog telmo isnt but elias is i guess zarfot is and paper and aasiwat are. maybe include them at the bottom - high exp inactives? i mean they all arent gunna get 200m all but are closer than the people below them...
  21. lol not sure but she values peoples personal choice to do anything the want and yea i didnt read that shit ^.^. on topic - we will see how many people are accually members of rs when highscores changes any bets? they cant overestimate and brag the amount of subscribers now! crazy how suomi has a 600m lead on elias/jd ect....
  22. The issue is that there are two viewpoints to answer that question from: The viewpoint of the individual says that it's not a waste at all (he's happy, isn't he? That's all that matters, right?), while the view of the community says that it's a horrible waste (Did he make the community any better? Unless they desperately needed such a log, definitely not, and bettering your community is all that matters, right?). I'm all for bettering the community and the advancement of human kind, but could you define this, in your own words? Would you say that all of the people that follow the set pattern that society has laid out for them really contribute to the advancement of human kind, or do they mindlessly follow orders to make the minority even richer? In my opinion, the people that feel that they have something to contribute will do so, the people who don't won't. Do you think people like machine line factory workers, right up to wealthy bankers do what they do to contribute to society, or do they do it to either scrape by in life/reach personal ambitions, respectively? Edit: This has gotten so far off topic that I am certain that the mods are going to swoop in within minutes. Oh, I definitely don't think following society's set pattern results in a bettering of overall community/human kind. I tend to side with the individual's point of view in my description above; I was mostly explaining the view of James2k06 as being loosely valid, even if he doesn't say it as such. I think most, if not all, people are motivated on an individual basis, and for the most part that winds up benefiting society in one way or another. ETA: Sorry, sometimes I forget that my vocal inflection and body language don't carry over well online; I've probably been misunderstood a bit in this thread. I'll try to be more clear. Ayn Rand lol :P
  23. No, but if you play Runescape to the extent that pretty much anyone on front page of hiscores overall does, then you probably don't have the time for a job or go to school. Not talking about casuals who only play rs for like 3 hours a day. I'm jealous, I'm majoring in something (computer science) that I have little to no interest in and can't think of anything else I'd rather study lol... People manage too find time for scape in different ways. And yea @ Athymy sometimes life feels like going through a similar path as everyone else but unfortunately its impossible to travel wherever whenever and do whatever you want in life and I guess if life was like that then the times that true vacations happen it would be less fun.
  24. Looks like you've only been in contact with pissy, selfish little [bleep]es then. Feelsbadman.png Edit: IM SIK OF HIM BRUV HE PLAYZ RUNESCAPE AND DUZNT BUY ME SHOES Yup. This article makes me sick: http://www.cnn.com/2011/10/04/opinion/bennett-men-in-trouble/index.html How much runecraft gp/XP is cannoning cave crawlers? About 7? That's really not that bad... biased article. :P Girls are just as confused about what they are going to do its just a new confusion among all 20 somethings - with college degrees meaning less - jobs that actually lead to careers having more and more requirements. And its not just video games. I spent alot of time not in school/not working honestly it helped me gain a much better relationship to my family. I played runescape alot. Now im in school does that make it all better i think not - most classes are still useless.
