SoS is the best ranged training for f2p. If you need more info, feel free to look in my guide. The link is in my sig, it's the f2p combat one.

Duradel is the best master and you should go to him immediately. Sumona gives good tasks, to be sure, but Duradel is the best master. His tasks average 26-30k per hour. If you use your 4 blocks and cancel efficiently, you can get 35-40k per hour. (These of averages, of course.) I'm pretty sure Sumona comes no where close.

What's better: Hydra, Lava Titan, or Dagannoth?
Zaaps1 replied to Shepherdman7's topic in Help and Advice
Also remember their combat styles. Titan is crush, and that might play a factor. I also find Hydra is the best. I don't think many people are willing to sell their Dagannoth pouches. It's only cheap because you only need 1 sprit shard to make. -
Mask Rings Block-4 (but have 90 points extra to cancel tasks) Slayer Dart runes I do not think the ability to make bolts is worth it.

It makes "Standard Rare" drops more likely. That's rune, herbs, seeds, half keys, etc. It will not make "special drops" more likely, such as Visages or whips. I myself always use a warrior (i) or zerker (i). Exception is at Waterfiends, where I use Dstone (i) for the +6 crush bonus, and I use Dstone (i) for any tasks I range and not melee, such as Black demons and Fire giants. But, personal preference. It will increase the average profit/task. Now you just need to ask yourself, "Is that slight bonus in money worth the slightly slower kills?" The anwser is different for everybody.

The abyss is safe. Honestly. There is NO reason to leave pouches behind (1 exception, mentioned later.) Think about it, all revs will only get 1 hit on you, 2 or 3 if they manage to freeze you. At certain combat levels, no revs are able to attack you (111 and 112 I think, as well as sometime in the 90s). Their magic attack almost always misses if you have any decent magic defense. If they try to melee, you can laugh as you run right past them. Their ranged attack is the only one to fear, and even that isn't very threatening. The abyssal monsters themselves are a joke. They are extremely inaccurate and you only need to endure about 6 hits per run. In addition, I'm fairly certain that pouches can be gotten back from your grave. Each abyss run lasts about 85 seconds, but that's including crafting and everything. That means you can EASILY reclaim your pouches, even with the cheapest gravestone. ZMI? That's even safer. There is no reason for you to keep any pouches in your bank. Here's the exception: Ghraak nats if you are 75 rc+. Believe it or not, it is actually FASTER if you rc with only the medium, large, and giant pouches. If you do not bother with the small pouches (3 ess), you will craft more ess/hour.

Personally, I was going to recommend the exact same calculator. It's extremely useful. If you enter in the costs of the seconds, it'll tell you exactly how many shards you need to buy initially (with or without trade-ins. If with trade-ins, it will also tell you exactly when to trade-in) and the exact cost of levelling. You can also tell the calc exactly which pouches you are willing to make and which ones you aren't. I would estimate your cost to be about 7m-10m, but highly variable depending on pouch/ I highly recommend you make moss giants/fruit bats/granite lobsters/barker toads, regardless of if you can make higher pouches. The second costs are simply not worth it. During my training, I had to choose between an extra hour of charm gathering or paying an extra 2-3m for Swamp Titans over Granite Lobsters. Those are the kinds of differences higher leveled pouches make. It just doesn't seem worthwhile to me. As for your bananas question, quickest method is glory to karamja + pick on the plantation, bank using duelling ring or glory. Personally, however, I would spend about 400k and buy the bananas myself. They're very cheap and instantly sell. (Makes you imagine which poors souls collect bananas as their source of income.)

99Att and Warrior ring should take care of the accuracy a bit, wouldnt it? It depends more on the monster than anything. I'm 99 with I could use a Warriors (i) if necessary. I would gladly do it on a task like bloodvelds, but I might think twice on Nechs, for example.

With Whip + Fury, your max is a 34, if 99, potted, and praying superhuman strength, with no other equipment on. With Zerker + Sword, the max is 32 under the exact same condition, add the 20% bonus and your max is 38. So yes, you could potentially replace the whip + fury with zerker + sword. However, just beware that your accuracy is a lot lower, and therefore is not appropriate at some locations.

Just go into combat with it. The charges drain quickly.

He's finished the quest. It is possible to see other people's strangers, so it might've been someone else.

You can easily get it back using the Slayer ring and I think the bookshelf works as well.

Slayer, in a word.

There are three guidelines to follow: -check if that item is used in many mini-quests, side-quests, or later quests. If it is, keep it. An example is the Book of the Dead from Missing My Mummy, which is used to keep track of the Queen's Completion after the quest, until you get it to 100%. -If it appears you cannot reobtain it and it is equipable, keep it. Example: Hazeel's Mark. If it appears difficult to reobtain, keep it. Example: Greegree -If it can teleport, keep it Example: Ectophial Anything else you can throw away. If the occassion arises that you need it, you can easily (in most cases) get it back.

If you need defense for tanking or otherwise, the Blessed Spirit Shield is just as good for about 3m. I've bought the DFS a few times in the past, along with Bandos. I concluded with both items that it isn't worth it. Defender + Barrows is cheap, economical, and the best anyone should need.

Wolpertinger is also magic-based. I do not think having mage-boosting gear, for example, would make a difference. I've noticed all my familiars work about the same no matter my armor. Plus many people slay in melee gear while using a Wolpertinger, and still report that the Wolpertinger did a lot.

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=750480&hilit=zerker+necklace The Zerker combo is far better than the d scim, and it is arguably better than the SS. You can also replace the sword with a mace if you need crush, for example at WFS or Gargolyes, instead of the Stab/Slash of the obby sword.

Watering can only help, but it is never necessary. I am 92 farming currently and the last time I watered a plant was when I was level 17, or so, excluding watering seedlings in plant pots. Watering makes the plants grow faster and be stronger against disease, much like compost. Also like compost, you have grow them just fine without watering. I generally do not water plants because it is a waste of time, imo, and the difference isn't very big

[Updated 9 Dec] Reviving Smithing : Divinite
Zaaps1 replied to Zaaps1's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Yes, but I want to know more about your opinion. -
Absolutely terrible way for charms, you'd get under 3 charms per hour, I believe.

Will add, thanks.

Stealing Creation - Do you earn your own clay?
Zaaps1 replied to XxTearGodxX's topic in General Discussion
I always get my own clay, but if I'm having some trouble and I see someone who is easily getting it, I will ask nicely. Since you are doing Fast SC, 1 clay doesn't make any difference at all. After your first 22 points, it takes a lot more effort to get 1 point. That 1 clay never makes a difference. I'd be happy to give away 1 inventory of clay without feeling like I'm giving away my points. Plus, the faster the games go, the more points you get in the long run. For this reason, if someone asks me, I will do it. -
Should change "busker" in the Did You Know... fact to "musician". I had no idea what a busker was until I looked it up, and Musician is the more popular/official term for them in Runescape.
