  1. You should now mention that the best ring to use is the Onyx Ring (i), or any imbued rings lower than that. The Onyx ring gives a nice +7 magic bonus. The Dragonstone ring (i) is a lot cheaper and gives +6 magic bonus. I believe they also give +7/+6 bonuses to all defense stats, but check me on that one. The best ring would be the Seer's Ring (i), which gives a nice +8. However, it only gives magic defense bonuses as far as I know, so the extra +1 may not be worth it. I usually don't need a Ring of Life anymore, and I'm sure many of us don't. I'd rather take one of the MA rings instead, and anyone with the rank to imbue rings should consider it. Much better than the petty +1 of the Beacon ring or the +2 of the Lunar ring (speaking of which, can be imbued as well, I think it goes to +4?).
  2. As he said irons are more common than steels. From all the tasks I've had, I probably would say the iron:steel ratio is about 3or 4 to 1. Oh, I see. Personally, I wouldn't block Greaters and I wouldn't cancel miths or wyverns. Greaters are good xp for me, although the wild dogs aren't aggressive to me anymore. They aren't THAT crowded. I'd have to hop 3 times at most, and those are 4 minutes I'm willing to spend for the xp that greaters give. Miths are a fast 10 minute task. It's a nice diversion and it's fun for me. Wyverns aren't that bad. I cannon them with piety so it goes by fairly quick for me. Nice crimson charms also and the drops are pretty good.
  3. The stats of the dragon defender are...? Well let's think of it this way: In most places, you can get along fine without an ESS or DSS. Even at boss monsters, they're pretty unnecessary. You don't need the extra defense, since you can get along fine without it (unless your defense is really low and the rest of your armor is like...adamant or something...). However, you can never get too much attack or strength when fighting high level monsters. There is no "good" high level monster a player can 1HKO or 2HKO outside of special attacks and Dharoks (which you can't count because both of those require 2-h weapons, meaning you can't equip a shield, making this whole argument useless). Also, while there are monsters with low defense, most high level monsters will cause you to miss a few times. Any and all attack/strength boost is useful.
  4. Why have irons blocked but steels not?
  5. It's not like you're staring at the homepage for hours, so it doesn't bother me a single bit. Let them get a few extra bucks for it, and it does hurt us at all.
  6. I'm sorry, what updates has f2p received recently? Why are members so against anything new being added to the free game? It's been stated that the free game is not meant to be a demo, so why can't we get updates and have access to new things?[/rant] Because jagex employees don't work for free. Good thing "free players" pay for 7% of their paycheck then, right?
  7. It's supposed to be a low level quest so we get a low level reward. The quest is, but the wish-list is not a low level reward. Would low levels be required to kill level 300+ monsters multiple times and have 78 slayer? I don't think so. It should at least be on par with stuff like the Jade Vine. Even Tears of Guthix beats this in xp.
  8. It's in the tips, tricks and notes section at the bottom. :) Yeah, but I was thinking more of a listing of the best/fastest places to kill them.
  9. Now if it's a WEEKLY event, it may be worth doing. After all, I went through that BS jade vine maze didn't I? I suppose i'll finish this up then.
  10. You should mention that you don't need to kill them in the Fremminik Province. You can easily find the animals at alternate locations and thus escape a lot of running around or crowding.
  11. Thanks for both of your comments! And yes, I am editting that in now :
  12. It's really, really simple. -Foot bone = Ape Atoll gorillas -Sabre-like teeth = Brine Rat (most likely guess) -Long sharp claws = Either Nail Beast or Wall Beasts -Fibula bone = Turoths -Large hand = Crawling Hands -Tail bone = Obvious -Neck bone = Ugtanki camel -Spine = Crash island snakes -Pelvis = Aquanite -Femur = Ork -Humerous = Giant Tortoises -Golden Fleeche = Buy it from that Troll by the Slayer Caves
  13. You're not supposed to pay to protect yews. Instead just subtract 10% xp from the total to get the accurate amount (considering deaths).
  14. One error I see in your calculations is this: Maples are currently 15gp/xp. Yews are currently 12gp/xp. Therefore, yews are actually MORE efficient than maples. Thanks for both of the replies guys!

Has any one threatened suicide? I haven't seen any, but this is very possible. We are talking about RSOF, afterall. Ya  iv seen some one do but forgot wich update it was. I think that was with MA. Someone threatened suicide. Or maybe it was with the Protect Item PvP updates.
  16. The prices don't change TOO often I suppose...I guess I'll add it in when I get the time, thanks. I'm glad my guide helped you. :
  17. If you use the forumla I provided, it appears that calquats are not worth paying for, which is true. Paying to protect calquats is not economically efficient. However, unlike other patches, there is only one calquat. Also, I farm poison ivies, so I don't mind giving up 8 berries each day. Therefore, I prefer to protect the calquat. It is an expensive payment, however, you are right. Not paying is the most economically efficient way to farm calquats.
  18. Thanks for the replies! : I'm glad it helped.
  19. Well I wasn't thinking specifically about a quest to get them. More along the lines of like, a drop or something.
