  1. Nice job by SK (though Greece isn't superb or anything). Too bad I was sleeping so I didn't see it. Second goal was awesome though from the replays I saw. I'll probably be rooting for them since they're the only east Asian country with a decent chance. Realistically though I'll probably pull for Portugal or Germany. Neither has a great chance but it's possible. And I've got a good Portuguese friend who'd probably kill me if I went against his team. Oh and go England.
  2. Ahahahaha Had me for maybe half a second. Nicely done though.

THE WEATHER IS AWESOME RIGHT NOW it's been thundering (and lightning-ing) continuously for about half an hour. Now it's pouring rain like crazy... And lightning flashed and thunder rolled in less than a second. Going by that rule I learned in kindergarten, it must've hit less than a mile away. First time I can recall that happening.
  4. Which college? I live around Boston so that sort of justifies my creepiness.

Some kid asked me yesterday if Starcraft was the game where you could get a purple elephant through cheats. wat
  6. A few weeks ago, I heard some people singing the Star Spangled Banner out of the blue. I turned to my friend and asked, "Huuuuuuh why are they singing Christmas carols in April?"
  7. Haha, I have a bunch of relatives there so I've been up there a few times myself. From what I remember it is a pretty nice place. I live in one of the rich white (also predominantly Jewish) suburbs just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. It's technically a city, and thus one of the richest cities per capita in the country or something. It also was the safest city in America a few years back. It's a decent place...I enjoy some aspects of city life, though I don't think I would like to live somewhere that's too crowded. A suburb is a nice in-between. The rich, white part can be a bit annoying (though it's also like 7% Asian, so there's plenty of my own kind ). Lots of drugs, drinking and partying, none of which I partake in because I'm a good kid nerd. Boston itself is a great place. A very historical place. There are also a lot of good colleges around, so I don't have to go far if I want to go to one of those/I make it in. I would say something about how great of a sports town it is, but the Red Sox suck currently, the Patriots haven't received much positive light, and the Bruins...well...Let's just say the Celtics are our last hope right now. Also, clam chowder and Dunkin' Donuts are good. If I had the option to live somewhere else, I would consider Taipei. I know, it's very crowded, but I just love it there. One thing I forgot to mention above is how liberal the people are where I live. I would say that it's definitely had an impact on my social/political views, but that might also just be a result of my time here on TIF. I still see a lot of things from the Taiwanese or even Japanese point of view though.

I feel like I've said this before, but my physics teacher was asking the class on the first day of school what we use computers for. Facebook? Bunch of hands go up. IM? Even more. E-mail? A good lot. Games...like World of Warcraft? My hand shoots up. My friend reluctantly follows. He's a really young guy so I wouldn't be surprised if he played WoW, and he's brought in Guitar Hero a few times. Also, the Bruins are the new Red Sox. Typical Boston sports. <_<

We'll be winning. :D Though the Bruins were just terrible last game so maybe not...
  10. The real question is Japan, to be honest. If it weren't the US, who knows what would've happened in the Pacific.

Being American, this sounds very unusual to me. We don't say that in America.
  12. [hide] This girl sits next to me in Biology. TURBANTURBANTURBAN[/hide] :? She's not that annoying in real life, but she floods my feed 24/7.
  13. But...but...what if I actually do?!??!??!!??! aw crap i can't find the emoticon i wanted to use...
  14. YEAH MAN FIGHT FOR OUR GLORIOUS RED SOX NATION  My English teacher this year never really bothered having us analyze the books. He only quizzed us on facts. Which was pretty nice, since I have a good memory for that kind of thing, but I'm a failure at comprehension and analysis. We're doing poetry now though, which sucks. A lot.

So apparently a pipe burst just west of here. A big pipe. It's affecting basically all of Greater Boston (including Boston). I'm not quite sure what effects this will have nor how long it will be a problem...
  16. Stalking.

Just good ol' school. =/ Fun stuff.

How about you? Still in Germany, I take it? How is it?

WHAT THE [bleep] LOL YES I'm a Bruins fan but I have no love for the Caps either. Not to mention they now get to play the Flyers, rather than the Pens. And I love how there were 3 upsets in the East, and 3 non-upsets in the West haha.
  18. Did this a few times with some of my friends...we just got 5:26:02. It was definitely better than playing with strangers. No random dropping out nor no stupid people (plus I can use CAPS LOCK against them in our chatroom)

I have a classmate whose dad's name is Dick Long. You also can't forget Major Dickie Head.

Maybe they're all KPop fans in disguise. (Rain) I won $10 yesterday from a math meet. Too bad my school missed the cutoff for the next round by 1 point. And my small group from church has decided that we're having a StarCraft LAN party next Friday. Haha, this will be awesome. (I should probably go touch up on my strategy now...I go to a Chinese church - and we have a Korean - so they're all pro lol)
  22. That's one of the great things about baseball (at least the MLB). Lose one game, you still have a bunch to go. Unless it's September or October. Go Sox yay. Disappointing loss last night though. (but ^^)
  23. I was about to say that. Mistakes happen, even though this one was particularly tragic. Admitting those mistakes is what should be done though, rather than coming up with (lame) excuses. And yea, those soldiers sounded pretty eager to kill. Guess that's why they're soldiers though.
  24. OT is basically a public high school in a (pretty) rich suburb in Massachusetts, so I can't really tell what I've taken from here and what I've taken from there. Also, white people. VG&C probably got me hooked on a few games too.
  25. I got (0.15 microfortnights), haha. My friends and I wrote "GULLIBLE" on a piece of paper and stuck it on the ceiling in chem. Wonder what happened to it after we left.
