  1. Open IE, then go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs -> Manage add-ons, and you should see a list. In that list should be something like "Java Plug-in 1.6.0_01". I think that your problem is that you have more than one of these. Look at the numbers and try deleting the oldest versions of the Java Plug-in. Hope this helps.
  2. After you plug it in, go to 'My Computer', it should appear somewhere in that folder.
  3. To help your computer shutdown faster, read this. You probably startup slow because you have programs that run when your computer starts up. To disable some of them, go to your start menu - Run - type "msconfig" (without the quotes of course) - and click on the startup tab. There will be a list of all of the programs that either do or used to run when your computer starts/started up. (The programs with checked boxes will run when your computer starts up, the unchecked ones won't.) Uncheck all of the boxes for programs that you don't want/need to run at startup. Note: I wouldn't recommend you remove anything if you don't know what it is, as it may be important. As far as the Hijack This log goes, I have no idea how to read it or what most of that means. :wall:
  4. I really don't see any reason why it would slow the computer at all. I don't think it will.
  5. ...Care to give any rationale for what you're saying? Or is it just pure "omg dell sucks lol". Well, I've used both, read reviews/articles for both , and heard other's overall consensus for both. It could just be a matter of opinion, but I think that HP's are great computers. That's not to say that Dell's aren't, but I just like HP's more. Of course it really just depends on what's inside of the computer. I've just never in my life heard of anyone refer to a standard Dell computer as great.
  6. HP's are better than Dell's from what I understand. I'd definitely get an HP. They are better computer's overall, I think it will Vista more efficiently.
  7. I have a dog named Jo. I had a puppy named Roscoe, but I had to give him away.
  8. Look for something similar to McAfee. I don't have it on my computer, so I don't know what it looks like. :| Or, as an alternative, you could use a program that will show you what programs are running at startup. CCleaner is one, you can download it here. After you get it, install it, and run it. Go to Tools --> Startup, and it'll show you a list of all the programs that run when your computer starts up. Find McAfee and delete it. (FYI: You can remove other things that you don't want to run on startup, however, don't remove things if you don't know what they are.)
  9. Well if you could be a bit more specific, I could probably help. Maybe tell me what exactly you're trying to do? There's a lot of things that can be done, but I'm not sure exactly what you're aiming for. :-k
  10. I really don't think there's a program for this. It's just people manipulating the size and location of their windows to their liking.
  11. Click on your start menu, and go to "Run". Type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks of course). Click on the tab labeled "Startup". It will display all of the programs that run when your computer starts up. Uncheck the box next to McAfee and restart your computer. Problem solved. :)
  12. I honestly have no idea what's wrong. If I were you, I'd just take it to my local computer repair store and have them take a look at it and [wagon] it.
  13. I hope Tosh is still alive :o . Keep up the Runecrafting, getting closer and closer. :D
  14. That doesn't look like any millipede that I've ever seen :-s . Looks like a huge, ugly centipede. That's scary. I like tarantulas, but bugs like that kinda creep me out. -.-
  15. Grats on level 91!!! I admire your patience training a skill like Hunter. Have fun. :P
  16. Are you trying to view videos that you downloaded, or videos on the internet? If it's on your computer, try using Winamp. It's better than WMP. I get the same thing (on the internet) sometimes with WMP being jittery. It only happens on certain sites though. :-k
  17. Uninstall the old Java and install the new one, see if that helps.
  18. Grats on 85 Herblore :D . Your name seems familiar, although I don't know you. Maybe it's from the RSC highscores... :-k . Anyway, good luck. P.S. - I saw you fishing a while ago, I like your hat. :-w
  19. About 2.5M to some random guy for no reason at all. And countless items worth 700k-1M to friends, etc.
  20. Who cares why people used to wear them that way? That's not the reason why they wear them that way now so it's irrelevant. Also, why do you care so much about the way that other men wear their pants?
  21. Tripsy always answers questions, thats why I lurrve her Watch: Is Dustyy a "leet" farmer? :D I think that's why everyone loves Tripsis, because she takes time to respond to everyone's individual posts. So considerate. I hope the Herblore is going well. I'd love to donate something but I don't have any Herblore supplies  . If I get something, I'll let you know. Have fun runecrafting!
  22. Am I the only one that believes that people here take this game way too damn seriously?
  23. I don't know much about the topic. However, if I were you, I'd probably try calling a computer repair store near where you live. Tell them about the situation and see what they have to say, that might help.
  24. Ya, Phi are noob. Great bank. 9/10 :D
