Every religion has its share of fundamentalists. Every game has its share of mod-wannabes. But ranting about a forum's population is kind of pointless. Sounded somewhat intelligent until the "nub" and the laughable emoticon.
  2. Thanks for proving my point even more. I don't "nazi" people for typos. I point them out for their lack of understanding regarding concepts such as communism. Parrot more.

Edgeville, with its new and improved infrastructure. A recently-lit bundle of willow logs radiating warmth outside the recently remodeled bank. Four thousand raw trouts and thirty-six hundred raw salmons awaiting their ascent to edibility. Friendly conversation with amiable level-3 skillers roasting their lobsters. All of which is ruined by yet another testosterone-saturated twit thinking it's funny to position his avatar in front of me so my bend-down-to-cook animation (which now resembles a phallic act) can titillate his wildest fantasies. It becomes even more of a bother when the hormone machine decides to say things like "Don't stop" and "Yeah yeah yeah." I say "yet another" because, obviously enough, it's not the first time. All of these incidents have gone unreported due to the rigid and inflexible nature of the Report Abuse interface. I am pretty certain that it doesn't send what is generally superfluous information such as character positions and directions. As much as I'd like to stab a knife into the eyes (among other conspicuous targets on their bodies), the Internet is not yet capable of such means of retaliation, thus something else needs to change: the source of their arousal. So for Christ's sake, Jagex, use the thousand-polygon power that you've boasted in your front page news and update some of these obsolete animations. I'm tired of these irritating prepubescents who follow me around all day, trying to perform their "dance" on me. Tired of these fools who bother me while I'm trying to cook some fingerlicking training food. Equally tired of the morons who prompt stupid remarks like "just go to another world" or "cook on a range." No, I prefer not to wait another 40-50 seconds just to log in or run farther distances because an immature nitwit has been deprived of his satisfaction in too long. Fin.
  4. Your ignorance has been duly noted. To topic starter: romanticism and chivalry are already dead in this world, don't expect it to revive itself in an online game.

Pot to kettle: You're black. All of you.
  6. Why is it that the stupidest things I read in each thread come from you? 1) The client is a stripped-down variation of whatever version Internet Explorer you have, which has more holes than Firefox. (Note to the dogmatic Firefox fanboys: Firefox does not guarantee you 100% protection from malware.) 2) There are adverts in the client. If you don't see them, you're either (a) not using the client, or (B) using an ad-blocker. Here is a wonderful solution. Before anyone starts to say "but it's against their rules to block ads," well, it's also against my rules for them to skimp out on QA for advertisements.
  7. Best thing I read in all these 5 pages of repetitive garbage. +1 Qeltar: I would agree with most that the article is skewed (and anachronistic context acknowledged), but all in all, given the amount of fanboyism and dogma most people hold towards Jagex, the bias is appropriately placed. Quote-end-quote law of averages and all. Any attempt at mixing education into entertainment will always result in failure and crappy kids. A great book that everybody here should read is Amusing Ourselves to Death, by Neil Postman. There are a great deal of issues here that isn't limited to RuneScape, but to "virtual reality" and the Internet in general.
  8. Also all those ads showing up on the F2P worlds. Are you really that thick? Doesn't advertise as in Jagex doesn't advertise about Runescape, it's different from serving advertising on Runescape.
  9. css glitch. won't work if you search with /title.ws as opposed to /.
  10. Well obviously they forgot about the people who just want instant gratification with no grind. Sneers.
  11. To smack things and bury their bones after them. I'm personally not into the whole graphics hype. If you like super realistic graphics, you should go outside. Real life has real graphics. WHOA. SUPER DETAIL MAN!
  12. It doesn't. If they do, then somebody is incompetent.
  13. Too lazy to pump up the font size on the other places. Tip.it's guides aren't set in anorexic 8px Verdana and the layout doesn't disgust me. I'm under the impression that all the other sites are run by 13 year olds running around with an outdated copy of MS Frontpage. I see too much immature kids on the forums to like this community. (Don't get me wrong though -- I know there are some signs of intelligence here, otherwise I wouldn't bother coming back.) What is with this trend of using the term "communist" when the appropriate term is "fascist"? Pay more attention in history class, geez.
  14. Then you should be hitting history textbooks and not the forums ;) Very true.
  15. beat my collection by 11 XD
  16. There is a big difference between being a communist and being a totalitarian. Those who are truly the former are nowhere close to being the latter. Get your polisci straight. And lol'd at the crying noobs. PC spoiled them too much. It's about time Jagex made the update.
  17. You take the time to compile garbage like this while telling others to look away from the screen. LOL, okay, the only one here that made me chuckle.
  18. 1) Cool, got it. 2) Gee, water is wet. Some people don't volunteer, but because there are other factors. As I said: other reasons. People have such silly standards nowadays. Maybe not. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perth%2C_Western_Australia
  19. Good job, a few shallow scenarios and you're trying to prove a point.
  20. Someone probably already beat me to it but... You made the programmer in me vomit. Anyway, one-time fees are peanuts in the long run, so if I'm planning to play for a long time, sure, I'll pony it over.
  21. Whoops, I forgot there was a #5 =) Says the guy who fails at effective communication.
  22. The most painful part is having you monkeys quote all screenshots... two times.
  23. You forgot another. 4. Nobody is going to obey.
  24. Crappy parents make crappy kids, there's nothing more to it. How old are you? Just wondering. I don't know if age has anything to do with this lack of insight and maturity, but there is a gigantic misconception in this society that if you go to a college that's not famous, you're a failing piece of trash that won't get anywhere in life. Maybe that perception arises from our ignorant superficial habits, but whatever reason, I'm just letting you know -- there are smart people who attend community colleges for other reasons, not because the name colleges rejected them. And before you attempt ad hominem here, no, I do not attend a community college, but I do not several who do, and frankly they're far more intelligent (and intelligence is not limited to being a book-smart trash) than most of the people I know in my university. What's wrong with people killing themselves over a game? I like that. Less freaks in existence in the real world. What a pathetic apology on the parents' side. You have to be aware of all the consequences. And when you give someone their first drink, you're pretty much giving someone poison anyway.
  25. RuneScape is only as addicting and destructive as you allow it to be. It's possible to be high leveled and still maintain a healthy social life. Don't use this game as a scapegoat with with you attribute your failure to control yourself.
