  1. How did an article of this quality make it to the Times? I was going to it apart point by point but I think Ginger already did a fine job. Thumbs up. (Oh, by the way, fifty-something words per minute isn't really anything to be proud of.)
  2. There is something called a work permit for people wanting work under 18.
  3. 1.6m coins versus 29.94m exp. Heh, f2p ftw?
  4. phat set. I wouldn't really feel like playing if my stats are already maxed.
  5. Gee, you're one to talk. Sometimes I level while reading a book, but then I don't know how your "bleep" of a mother would make that possible for you.
  6. Yesterday some guy came up to me and tried to talk about the weather then politely asked me for a ruby ammy. I gave it to him. :P
  7. Water, but I remember Body looked pretty cool too. Haven't been in there much though (too many body runes already...)
  8. f2p. coal: wilderness (south of dark warriors) iron: wilderness (north of the tip of the river) mith/addy: hobgobs (: No human competition :P skels don't bother me much.
  9. But less people = slower respawn time (trees, rocks, monsters) edit: and also, the sandwich lady (and most other random events) will screw you up. LOL
  10. WHO'S YOUR SISTER. LOL. That's pretty neat :]
  11. Erm, I sure it's safe to say that most (if not all) of the RuneScape players still play because the graphics aren't intolerable and the gameplay itself outweighs the visual appeal. One of the reasons why Jagex is successful is because Java is cross-platform & browser agnostic and easily targets those with older computers.
  12. I would be overjoyed if f2p could craft up to addy arrows. But heck, just crafting bronze would make me happy.
  13. On the age issue: age doesn't necessarily correlate with maturity. I'm sure 12- and 13-year-old's aren't the only nuisances online. As for the movie itself... you would have to make the graphics good to make it worth watching. But after people see the movie and go play the game, they're probably thinking "wtf why gfx suk bad????" Not all that likely. (Other than that, it's a nice idea... I'd watch it.)
  14. Fine article, but the mechanics bugged me: Don't ever write anything along the lines of "I think" or "I believe" because that only weakens your point. Be brave. Declare now, argue later. (And heck, why would you be writing that if you didn't believe what you were saying?)
  15. Responding to your "where else" thing: I fight Mosses in the wilderness and only the wilderness. Not worth the time to compete with newbs for the crandor spawn ;) I've never had this happen to me. That or I'm too inattentive. But I do remmeber seeing plenty of times when I've seen my EXP go up and used that as an indicator of what my next hit will be.
  16. ... so what exactly are you saying? It starts out like this: Everybody is impure. Then one guy thinks "hey I'll be pure!" Pure kills impure. Impure gets pissed and makes a pure. To kill more impures. And in the end, everybody in the wildy is a pure. So basically, 99% of the people who make pures are people who can't own decently on their main. You can join them, or you can level up to a three-digit combat level and hunt in the deep wilderness.
  17. Don't you need the person to talk first if you want to report for rule 1? I see too much "cexy" and "dic" usernames in Runescape. I want to get rid of them all. And I'd like to add that some people are taking the numbers too seriously.
  18. True gold-digging is like the macros out there cutting yews.
  19. Dear God, please let me get this runite ore before that other guy does.
  20. How is this a discussion/suggestion though... ?
  21. I came to this thread thinking "oh good god, another horrible idea." I left thinking "oh good god, a horrible idea yet-to-come."
  22. Mmm... could carry that one extra lobster... but then, 600 sounds too cheap. I wouldn't mind paying 6k, since I know that over time I'll be using it more than 100 times.
