  1. Wow, this solves the bank space problem without using the traditional "WE NEED MORE SPACE" argument. It's brilliant. I'm all for it.
  2. Then come to a f2p world to cut it. Did you even read the whole thing? I'm not suggesting moving Yews into the wilderness, I'm suggesting that add Yews to the wilderness. Plus, if you really wanted to train woodcutting, draynor willows is much faster, regardless of the amount of people there.
  3. Is answering the question actually going to affect the way you play or what? There's obviously no right answer, and the people above are just going back and forth, stating the same things with varying wording, not to mention the unnecessary quoting.
  4. The original goal was to make use of the 18923127 gem-lacking gold amulets or the 91238 tiaras sitting in the general store. If anything, we should at least have a feature that can melt those back into bars, even if it means 10 tiara (or gold amulet) = 1 bar. You guys are just being stupid yourselves, making the assumption that if one thing is reversable, everything in the world should be. Arrows don't sit in the general store collecting dust, why should we break them? That argument fails.
  5. Funny, didn't someone try to suggest this already a day or two ago? There are enough staffs as it is. Jagex added the RUNECRAFTING skill for a reason.
  6. That's what I figured too, but I don't think it works for regular gift-givers (sandwich lady, MOM box/regular, dwarf, pirate, rick, miles&bros) and only for the teleport-away events. You never see another person miming or running in that maze now, hm?
  7. Unfortunately, I have to agree with that part. Macroers are just getting too smart these days =/
  8. Explain to me how it's scamming. People do this all the time, they call it "creating a company." Ruin his business if you wish, but I don't see how it is scamming. The people he hires are ignorant to the market prices, that's their own problems, if they're happy with 20gp/ore, let them be happy.
  9. There's no such thing as a bad idea. It can always be used as a bad example, or in this case, a good example of how often the suggestions section is filled with bullcrap.
  10. If we set the "un-forge" to have a high smithing level requirement, then low-leveled people can't use that to train. As for the bolded text, consider this: we're not advocating for items to "un-forge" back to their original state (like plate legs = 3 bars and plate body = 5 bars), that would be an obvious imbalance. The returned bars will only be a fraction of the original. If you want to be more strict on it, "un-forged" bars can have the no-trade restriction.
  11. How about: wearing full zamorak (helm, body, legs, kite) gives a hidden prayer bonus only for the strength prayers. Same goes with Saradomin/Defense and Guthix/Attack. I'd really prefer item drops over prayer bonuses though. Full Zam: increases chance of getting weapons, arrows, missile runes (mind/chaos/death/blood) Full Guthix: increases chance of getting ores, bars, elemental runes (fire/air/water/earth), rune essence, and other creation-based items Full Sara: increases chance of getting armors, food, misc runes (body/soul/nature/law) Chance is further increased by wielding maces. Something along those lines, anyways.
  12. Absolute brilliance. That would also take out most of the "wugwoeshwsegikwhelkgjkshr"-spamming noobs.
  13. Bump. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Both for/against comments welcome. Topic summary: put a few Yew trees in the early levels of wilderness for players; any macroers who even dare attempt to go near (though they probably won't) shall be slaughtered.
  14. I have about 1300 laws collected over time (pure f2p; I don't craft/run laws). I just teleport. Hitchhiking... I don't know, it feels weird, since you get logged out if you don't press any keys anyways. Haha, I got to try that sometime.
  15. Good theories. I don't think that's the point though; when I'm doing something like cooking 7000 lobsters I get bored and examine random things and play with the camera angle. I still get plenty of randoms (especially the Dwarf... ugh, hate him).
  16. YES. YES. YES. I SECOND THAT.
  17. I can only imagine this complicating things even further, and even if Jagex were to implement this, it wouldn't be in the favor of most of us here. This has been a mere spark, hopefully.
  18. Level requirements are your friend when it comes to preventing abuse (kinda). If you can't smelt runite, you can't cast reversal, and same goes for all the other metals. :P Or to make it even more difficult: must be able to smelt iron to decompose bronze must be able to smelt steel to decompose iron must be able to smelt mithril to decompose steel and so on, then either disable reversal on runite or make it a high-level requirement so the economy doesn't crash.
  19. Never read anything about it anywhere. Ah well. Back on topic; keyboard shortcuts for some of the tabs would still be nice :P Perhaps just the top row, minus quests?
  20. Holy crap, I honestly did not know that. When was that added in? >_>
  21. I've been wanting this for a while. I'm all for it.
  22. It's a known fact that macroers easily bypass those, and it's been brought up before already.
  23. lavirylime replied to ldb88's topic in Help and Advice
I don't think Jagex ever gave a concise explanation because they say it being "something we'd only keep to the development team" or something.
  24. If it's just a chisel or something then I just spam-click the crates until I found scrap coins or boots/gloves (sell for 2 gp). Gold rings without gems aren't worth the gold bar, and gemmed rings are better off sold to members.
  25. Oh great, what's next? Stupidity? That means all the smart people will be at level 1 forever and stupid people dominate the highscores. No. Just no.
