If we banned free players, it would be far harder for Jagex to bring in new members, because they wouldn't have a clue of how good members could be. That is so wrong, on Jagex's website they say that they have over 5 million in 06, so Jagex is feeding us some bs somewhere along the line.This is the one part that one of us misunderstood-I meant one million paying members, I think you meant five million players.

I'm really disappointed, at first you seemed to being trying to post decent points with some thought put into them, but now you've started flaming the author of this topic. Don't. All the servers (by your estimation) require 415kwh. 415*.1 is only $41 dollars a month. You multiplied .1 by the number of watts. In a recent interview, Andrew Gower said that Jagex has under 300 employees. I'm not sure how you decided that Jagex employees are paid $20 an hour, or that they work 160 hours weekly, but assuming that your assumptions are correct means that Jagex pays employees under one million dollars a month. You're wrong right off the bat. Less than a month ago, Jagex posted on Runescape.com that they'd officially reached one million members, although I'm sure people who log on through Miniclip don't see this. If these members pay the minimum ($5 US monthly) then Jagex makes $5 million US every month. And I'm pretty sure that most, if not all of the sites advertised on Runescape, pay less than five thousand dollars per month. I doubt that most of these advertisements pay over a thousand dollars to be shown on free worlds. Before you post, please try to get your facts right, and don't post random numbers that you thought of while posting.

I think the entire part of this that you fail to grasp -- even though I've said this at least two dozen times (quite literally) -- is that encoding 12 new bank slots would require so little effort, and so little cost, that it could be easily paid for by just a few days worth of adverts, if not one day. I think I've posted this before too, but Jagex probably couldn't care less if they could make 12 new free bank spaces for $5. They designed the free game to make people want to join members for new quests, areas, skills, and so that people joining members wouldn't have to cram all their items into their tiny bank.

F2P is already interesting enough to bring people to members, any free players who are that desperate should just join members, it's only $5 a month. And, please don't say anything about how it's $10 if you do it by SMS, if you can afford a cellphone you can afford the measly price of Runesape membership.

Most monsters that fight with only one style are so weak that you could easily finish them off with an inventory of sharks. I think this rant is like saying that Guthans is unfair because it makes you invincible against most creatures. This isn't true, just because you are too lazy to make money for Guthans/prayer doesn't mean that other people who aren't so lazy should be put at a disadvantage. I've checked your name on the high-scores, and you aren't ranked in prayer. Are you ranting because you never took the time to bury bones and are now being affected by it?

This is true, Blossom2581 showed that it would cost Jagex under $500 to give all players another row or two of bank space, but Jagex still won't do it. Jagex would rather pressure people to join members, which allows them to make millions of dollars, than pay $500 and give people less reason to become a member. Security Stronghold was a big update for free players, it didn't add a need for bank space because the weapon that you could get at the Stronghold was weak (comparable to a bronze scimitar), and the boots could be worn. I believe that the Stronghold of Security was very important because it could teach newer players about the dangers of scamming, with a little incentive. Increasing free players' bank space would please everybody except Jagex, because it reduces the pressure on free players to pay for bank space. The only thing that Jagex seems to care about is making money.

If you go into McDonalds and get a minimum wage job, you could get the money for an entire year in 2-3 DAYS. Ironic considering how some people play runescape HUNDREDS of more hours in a year but still come to complain how thats a huge waste of money :-s ? Give me a break! Who would want to work at Mcdonalds, have you seen the movie Super Size Me?? anyway, i would spend my money i got from work on my car gas and to buy other important useful things, not blow it on a game. Think jagex would give a bank row to those users who save their money or put it to better use? You don't have to work at McDonald's, any place is fine. I live in Ontario (Canada), and the minimum wage here for students is $7.25 an hour. In a single hour of work, I can make enough money to pay for one month's membership to Runescape. You can easily take an hour out of the time you play Runescape to make some money, then you can become a member and you won't have a problem with bank space. Edit: As Tetsuya pointed out, we don't get tax-free income in Canada, so you can make enough money for a month's membership in less than an hour and a half.

Lol? Have you looked in the Runescape forums recently? If you look in the Suggestions section, you'll see a whole lot of asking for certain updates. :roll: Under Suggestions, it says "Ideas for improving the game." People in the Suggestions forums suggest ideas to Jagex, some of which are brought into the game.

Well, this applies to p2p too, so I guess no one has any right to ask for updates. P2P doesn't ask for updates from Jagex, Jagex gives them to us because otherwise we'd stop paying Jagex.

If you are too poor to pay for a Runescape membership, you should be worrying about your next meal and not about bank space in a game. Besides, it isn't Jagex's fault that your parent's won't let you pay, or because you can't always go on the internet. Jagex isn't a charity.

Three times? That's just lame. Personally, the item I had that I treasured as a newbie was my mith battleaxe. 1.6K, but it was worth it.

We should have this, but not instant kill. It should note all your items, and tele you to one of the places MOM teleports you to.
