  1. Lame. Jagex are dicks. Also the scythe is kinda good looking which makes me even more mad that we don't even get the chance to get it. They should of just did a graphical update on the existing scythe instead of being dicks and making a new one that pretty much nobody can get.
  2. Gambling on RS is not really safer than the in real world. I'm sure there are a lot of players that buy gp for $USD and then go to the duel arena and stake it away. An addicted gambler is not gonna care about Jagex's rules and the fact that they're not supposed to buy gp. Gp looks to be about 50 cents/mil, so let's say a gambler goes to a gold farming website and spends 1000 $USD on gold, that's 2b. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult at all for a bad staker to lose that money in a day or so. Just like a good staker/dicer may be able to actually make billions and then sell those for thousands of $USD. It's not that different from a real casino, the only difference is that everything is done on a virtual black market instead of being legal.
  3. 30 stored points + today = 150k slayer xp :P
  4. IMO they should perm ban those that tried to get ALL the rewards, at that point they were fully aware that they were bug abusing. People that used it to get 2-3 extra items, but then stopped and realized something wasn't right with the points shouldn't be banned.
  5. Except it was worth the trouble. The spots were not even that packed - you just had to avoid the obvious areas, and the monsters popped back up almost immediately. Very easy and fast xp, your loss.
  6. That was posted yesterday, so the update just now might be what they were talking about. I wonder what they changed. Either way I don't think bots are gone for good, at best for a few weeks. Better just enjoy the empty training spots while it lasts.
  7. I sold some stuff and banked my last 99 buyables in case the bots are down for a long time lol gonna look noob tomorrow at CW without bandos 'omg look at that nawby poor 138 in rune' etc <3:
  8. No all the cards work. It doesn't matter when you bought the card or what it looks like - what matters is when you redeem it.
  9. I think this is only the beginning. I wouldn't be surprised if they came up with 6 month or 1 year game cards just so they can thrown in some overpowered or very desirable limited time only gifts to lure people in. There are some online retailers that sell RS game cards and email you the code after the purchase. It might work for this, someone would have to give it a shot. I guess they plan on making us pay for it now... <_<
  10. Wait till they release it before making a wall of text about it. It might just be a gold trimming for people that have the holiday scythe, and the sock mask a consolation prize for those that don't. But the item better not be given at that 29 Oct event, not everyone has their Saturdays free >.>
  11. 29th October 2 PM BST... of course they just had to time it just when I have classes >.>
  12. Australia's minimum wage is a whooping $15.51 per hour. You could work literally 1 hour every month at a shit job and be able to pay membership and have $6 leftover. I don't see any problem. Australia has high prices, but very high salaries to go with it.
  13. If you wanted to become reasonably good at a language in 6 months you would have to study minimum 7 hours a day and study ALL day during weekends. You may be able to play for that long a day (of course, the game is fun and requires no mental effort) but studying a single subject that long everyday requires a lot of dedication.
  14. http://imageshack.us/g/577/lol4nub.png/ Haha those were so good, the last one with the girl saying all that stuff... This one was the best "ur still here?" "Bk bdk di ds reported for macroing" "Not eintirely sure but just incase." "You have been here for over a day" The last guy really went all out. And lol at the guy that thought his reply was an automated bot response. Don't talk, you're a bot, talk, and you're bot with an auto-response system
  15. I withdraw 6 palm, 5 yew, 1 calquat, a spade, varrock / lumby / falador / camelot teletabs, equip a hatchet, take 3000 coins, take elf teleport crystal, take or equip witch doctor mask, take 5 supercompost, equip duel ring, 8 noted poison ivy, 90 noted papaya varrock tab to first tree spot; pay to cut down, supercompost and plant fally tab to second tree; same lumby tab to third tree; same cammy tab to first fruit; cut down, plant (no supercompost), pay 15 papaya duel ring to mobilizing army, then to gnome village; same duel ring to mob army then to grome stronghold; take care of tree and fruit tree, cut a log and take balloon to fally, and take care of tree there mask to jadinkos; take care of fruit tree crystal to lleyta; same duel ring to mob army then brimhaven; take care of fruit and calquat I'm pretty sure this is the fastest, or nearly fastest, not about to change my habits when I'm 2 weeks away from 99 lol
  16. I never train my stats evenly, but now it doesn't matter as everything is 99.
  17. Yup she did. She said that she had problems with her husband and that she had met somebody new that she'd like to get involved with, but she still has feelings for her husband and isn't sure she really wants to give up on him yet.
  18. You're not in awe at the trees silly. You're in awe at the caves, the cities, the monsters and all the new things, but then again I'm sure there are some people that don't have natural curiosity and can't get immersed in whatever game they are playing.
  19. First article doesn't make any sense to me. Your first days as a member are supposed to be your funnest and most exciting. Who cares that you have to walk 20 minutes to get to the gnome stronghold, when it's the first time you walk there you're discovering everything and are in awe, excited, although probably overwhelmed, at all the things you have left to do and discover in members. But if all you feel for members is annoyance, and a sense that you have to "work" your way back up, then maybe it's time to move on to another game.
  20. For theatre class we were asked to share a painful memory/secret, in order to make the group more close-knit, as that helps with cooperation according to the teacher. Although it seems the exercise completely missed the mark for some students, eg: Student A shares painful memory Student B says their past is more painful Student A insists their suffering was greater Student B reiterates and says student A's suffering is nothing compare to what they have endured Student C waits for their turn and shares childhood rape story, although of course without any gruesome details, and everyone shuts up After the shock from student C's memory passes, student D goes and point out that some unnamed people in Africa have suffered more than everyone in the room and thus everyone's suffering is irrelevant You'd expect a lot of 20-somethings to have better behaviour. I cringed as the events were unfolding, looks like something out of primary school. People have such victim mentalities, you'd think they would be happy for having had easier lives. But nope, it was made into a contest of who's had the crappiest life. I hate those, especially since the rape victim was the only one that really had anything to complain about.
  21. Looks like some sort of curse graphics glitch.
  22. It's easier with ranged. It's longer but you don't have to concentrate as much and there's no kiting to mess up. You could just get your cape with ranged, and try out melee later when it doesn't matter.
  23. When their dungeons take up to 2 hours long, you kind of wonder why they take 2 hours... and the reason is obvious, they do unnecessary things like cooking food, making armor, and clearing deadends. Randomers are just too damn scared/defensive to give a damn, and it's mainly because they are misinformed. When no one gives a [bleep] about deaths and just blaze through the dungeon like tomorrow, deaths become irrelevant. A 15-minute large, -20% mod with 6+ deaths (you don't get penalized anymore after that point) will always be better than a 2-hour large, +10% mod with 0 deaths. There's no denying it. Let's use some numbers: Assuming case A: 15min large, -20% mod, 6 deaths. Let's say this large you got 40k for it. Assuming case B: 2h large, +10% mod, 0 deaths. Let's say this large you got 110k for it. For case A, assuming you can complete 3-4 larges in an hour & with the same penalty scenarios, you would get 120k-160k xp/h. For case B, assuming the same +10% mod and 0 deaths, you would get 55k xp/h. I think it's pretty obvious what most people would go for. (Fun fact: If you 0-prestige case A, it would still be better xp/h than prestiged case B!) You don't get it. Let's make it even simpler for you for understand. Player 1 tries to play efficiently: Gets 6+ deaths but speeds up dungeon. Player 2 through 5: play like idiots and slow down everything, player 1 ends up having to wait while they fish, cook and make armour Result: Dungeon is 2 hours long and player 1 has got even less xp than the idiots That's why the "masses" don't go around dying on purpose. That sort of thinking only works when you have a clan that knows what they're doing. People that are too low lvled to get into a clan and have to use w117 have basically no choice but to play inefficiently.
  24. Around 37k/h. I'm happy with that as it used to be much lower. Although IMO xp/hour is not that good of an indicator. People who played during RSC and early RS2 are obviously going to have an overall lower xp/h than newer accounts who had access to the fastest methods right from the start.
  25. This is exactly the kind of mindset that randoms need to steer away from. Who cares if you die? It's not like its' the end of the world. I personally never eat in dungeons and don't give a [cabbage] even though I die like 7 times a large lol. Sure, you might want to pick up some food drops in case you're low health. But that doesn't mean going to the fullest extremes (making full sets of armor, cooking full inventory of morays + worldbearer). If you are going to do so make sure it doesn't slow the floor down. Most of the time it does, which is why it is frowned upon. Problem is how are we supposed to convince to the general masses that deaths are beneficial and not as bad as they seem? Just look at it from the perspective of a w117-er. They just spent upwards of 2 hours getting their xp, when dungeons are that long even a single death is a big deal. Even if they choose to not care about dying - the other 4 people will care and waste time gathering and cooking food, or making armour, and at the end the dungeon will be just as long and they will have lost most of their xp. It boils down to it being impossible to get good xp with random people because not everyone is in agreement and there is no game plan.
