I've never met one that drops alot. And to get this topic in the Gen P2P, try to make a better attempt to disquise it as a discussion topic, rather than something that screams to be in the Help & Advice forum. :P

KQ's second form is ONLY resistant to melee attacks, so verac can be used. But its not as effective as range, since Verac set effect only works randomly. Black mask and a bow ftw! :) (I don't know why everyone thinks you HAVE to have veracs to do KQ. Just melee the first form however you seem fit, and range the second form. You can even mage the second form too.) KQ "prayers" are not really prayers, per Jagex, they're just indicators on where the uber defense is on that form of the bug.

Yes, they are called archer rings. The provide a small, but noticable bonus to your range attack. Prices are all over the place. The best place to shop is on World 2 Fally market, just west of the tree farming patch. All Dag King items are sold there.

I always said when I got 85 slayer, I wouldn't do anymore assignments. Goal complete, skill over. Then they give me a mask that rocks boxers when used during tasks, and now this. Hello, Duradel. Miss me?

I believe this author is talking about user events, not TET events. P2P is becoming quite cluttered with lots of topics where users are posting they're house parties, drop parties, combat tournaments, level threshold parties, etc. He may be saying that Gen P2P is becoming a clutter since construction and the "house parties". I even post "HYT INVASION" events there. Or, maybe, thats just the best place for those. Not offering an opinion here, just clarifying what I think this guy is talking about.

Yes another KQ blog. No, I'm not looking for a chain. As some of you might know, I've had my share of dragon chain stories from the KQ. This is all about my house. Weeks and weeks, I've spent. Countless hours. 8 whips. Thousands of air runes Thousands of ashes. I've killed Abby demons since construction came out, and still no head to mount. The empty spot in my skill hall is screaming at me.... I have given up on getting an abby demon head. I wanted one bad. Its the ultimate slayer accoplishment trophy. 85 slayer. Abby demon head in my house. Something to hang my whip on. But alas..... I must adjust. So, I shall now start a new quest. The drop rate should be better. Getting a head from the KQ won't be like trying to win a lottery. More like playing a numbers game. If I keep going, I WILL get one. So, here we are in the Blog forum on Tip.It. We shall start tonight. All I need is a partner or two. I'll let you know who I drag down there. Stay tuned! _____________________________________________________________ Day 1 Partner: Cdub Foo 9 runs: Power ammy, Power ammy, addy spear, 600 fires, 19 bloods, rune chain, rune warhammer, addy spear, 3000 gp. Well, I logged into 191 sharks, and Cdub Foo was the patner of the night. QueenValerie wanted to go, but was busy getting her 90 prayer, so Cdub and I meet at Shantays Pass bank. Now I remember how crowded this thing is. We kept running into other teams, and switching worlds. In the meantime, we were getting our boxers handed to us. We were getting flat out owned. First KQ left Cdub with no food, and 32 hit points before she left us a diamond ammy. I had one shark left. I guess she missed me. Switching worlds, we ran into a 126 solo'ing, and I decided to steal the fight since he just started. Noticed a death pile, so I guess it didn't START as a solo. Cdub raided it, and gave back the dds after we were done. "Chain" I said. "Rune?" Cdub says. Dang, he didn't fall for it. "Yeah" "You noob" "kiss kiss" We decide to switch, because we didn't want to be rude. We tele back to the bank chest, and get thanked for switching, and they even say "Love your stories on the fansite" I always dig that. Hehe. No head. No food. So, 1 hour of fighting, and now I'll do 3 hours of fishing. Tomorrow, I take QueenValerie and her newly gained 90 prayer down there. Unless she hides from me. lol. _____________________________________________________________ Day 2 God I hate fishing. But I stuck with it, and gathered about 300 sharks for the hunt. Turns out QueenValerie fell in love with hunting the "other" queen, and this day consisted of about 20 runs. Was having a very happy fun time, keeping my patience. Just enjoying the process and the fight. Two 124's owning a 333. No crowds. No stress. Just a whole lot of fun. Then it started to get to me. Nature runes. Nature runes. Fire runes. Mith Arrows. Mith Arrows. Nature runes. Fire runes. The drops were pissing me off. After 20 runs, I was in a fiery mood. With 24 sharks in my bank, I was now going to buy sharks. The heck with it. I was ready to slaughter Abby demons. I was swearing and ready to pee fire at those demons. Give me a whip, red! NOW! I dressed in full ownage gear, zezrker ring, zerker hat, rune defender, superset, and a nice dagger for specials. I was gonna take my frustration out on demons. I walk in the room, and Valerie is joining me. I'm screaming at those demons. Give me that whip, red! Now! 1st kill. 60 rune essense. Not good enough. Gimme it NOW red! NOW! 2nd kill. *blinks* Uh... thanks? :shock: Whip. Well, thats a mood changer. After going through a few minutes of utter shock (my whip luck blows, really it does.) I have turned from peeing fire to just going through the motions in a content calm manner. I was truly shocked. 30 minutes later I get my first ever Dragon Med drop from the abbies. :shock: But, of course, they didn't give me a head. And I'm kinda glad. That would have been WAY too anti-climactic. Stay tuned. _____________________________________________________________ DAY 3 A whip, a dragon med, and a clue that gave me a Black Cav, and a lack of playing time equals purchasing 3200 sharks. I am ready for KQ full time now. (BTW, level 3 clues have been changed. They pay off GREAT now. They are arguably the best money making thing in the game now. I get like 8 out of 10 clues that pay off a special item not counting firelighters. They've changed them. Do clues!) So, I have my shark, and QueenValerie is ready to go. 15 more trips. Nothing. No head, no chain, no d2h, no nothing. I hate this bug. I got lucky and got a Kalphite task, and tried using the black mask, dragon dagger, whip, switch to veracs for form two... and stressed myself out. Valerie got most of the drops, and still nothing good. Then I switched back to normal, and still nothing. We did not have fun. From now on, we must go KQ'ing with just the fun of it in mind. Don't get greedy for drops, just the fun of kiling this crazy monster. Enjoy the 75 natures, 600 fire runes, 500 mith arrows, and 100 rune arrow drops. Those are good. Really. If you go expecting a chain, you just get pissed off. I am a patient man. I will not stop till I have a head. And I will probably get chains in the process. I am cursed. Bah, Dag Kings are nothing compared to that "thing". I would like to see something like that in RS. Some crazy level 1902 that you need a team of 20 ppl to even have a chance with. One prayer mistake, and you're dead. Guaranteed dragon drop. Anyway, would be cool. *buries Roc bones* Woo.

Bah, you don't need many, no worries. We'll work something out. All it takes is like 5 per trip, I'im sure you can get pray restores to fill it out. No, I will not tackle all three at the same time. I (we) have a process that lets us stay for over 2 hours per trip, and it only takes 3 people. One person alone handles rex (the mage), and then two of us will range prime till he's dead, then rush over and kill supreme with guthan healing us up before prime respawns, and then rush back and do it again. No damage from Kings = lengthly, productive trip.. Anywaaaays... You got me wanting to do kings now. lol.

It all started with an idea inspired by many inquiries on Dagganoth armor, and requests from friends to get them some. Dag armor is something that everyone can do, and is quite a fun little adventure, but you gotta know what to do. And since you do need a partner or group to get into the area, I figured I'd invite Tipiters on an adventure to learn how to get it. So, HYT Invasion was born. And it was such a great success... 100 people running around my house, everyone learning everything they need to know about getting and making the armor, and everyone walking around with their new, cool outfits.... Everyone had a blast. So, HYT Invasion scheduled more learning events. We killed KQ, some seeing the big bug for the very first time. We taught folks how to do Dag Kings, completely upsetting the balance of mages and rangers in the Dag King slaying community, as everyone wanted to range after they learned how, and doubling the number of hooked slayers. And not only that, but I really enjoyed having a gaggle of TipIt family in my house running around. My house always feels empty now.... But, all good things come to an end. For me... I feel like I've finished this game. I have 99 combats. I can mine rune. I can make Sara Brews. I can fletch magic bows. I have reached my Construction goal. I have raised Farming, and now have my own Spirit tree. I've gotten D-chain drops, mudstaffs, and whips as drops. I have all the equipment and items I've ever wanted (times 2), and Santa hats are gathering dust in my bank. 80 Thieving, 70 agility, all my goals are reached, and without goals to reach, the game is boring me. Even the Dag Kings are not luring me, as I've been there done that, and have no ambition to make more money. The fire cape is the only thing missing, and Fight Cave is not fun. I log in, stand in a bank, and look at my stats and my inventory looking for inspiration to do something. That inspiration has stopped coming. The game has kept me interested with updates. First it was Barrows. Then Dag Kings. Construction, Farming, Slayer. They've done a great job keeping me hooked. lol But, alas, I'm no longer hooked. No, I'm not quitting. This is not a retirement post. I'll still log on. I'll still read the forums. But "HYT Invasion" events will be no longer. I hope everyone had a great time to the events that they showed up for, and I hope you learned a thing or two. Thanks to the masters who helped teach. Thanks to everyone who showed up in mass and made these events so fun. I really had a blast doing them. I already see other "Invasion" threads, and I hope you all spin this thread off on other Tip It events. Thanks again, everyone, this thread has been a treat! Ciao!

Its important to stress that you have to be out of range of their attack, but within range of your bow. Its quite tricky, but can be done. Its the same trick as using the door before they made it close automatically. If you stood too close, you got globbed. Always fun when you switch to robin hood hat. Eek! This reminds me of a recent brush with death.... I think I'll make a post.

Today, its my altar. Because of the gilded altar, I was able to get uber fast prayer experience, and am now the magical level 124! Woot! Uber, complete, game ending goal there. Thank you, gilded altar! I wouldn't have done it without you. *ponders 124 combat party??*

There are 21 rooms availabe to build. The limit is 20 rooms. Choices have to be made. I do not have a parlor, because its my least favorite room. But I have 2 gardens, one formal, and one regular. When it comes to the non-useful rooms, you just gotta make a choice when you get to the point where you can build everything. The 20 room limit is a bummer. If it wasn't for the limit, I'd have one.

How silly. Of COURSE I get out of the house sometimes. Its nice and sunny in Yanille, and I get plenty of exercise playing gnome ball. Sheeesh. The nerve of them.

Thanks for coming, everyone. I feel really bad about the tournament, but there was just too many people ruining it. It would have been nearly impossible to pull off if everyone co-operated as it was, but with the party poopers... it was plain impossible. I did get to see one awesome fight between steel and soma, and then it just fell apart. But the trivia went fairly well, and I was very impressed with everyones RS knowledge. Next time, I will find harder questions. I hope everyone had fun, and I apologize to the mature folks that were playing nice about the tournament. I was really very excited about that whole idea. I'm quite disappointed by the whole thing, really. I can't say the party was a success, but I can't say it was a complete bomb, either. It was going great until the tournament. Most importantly, I hope everyone had fun, got their bones burned, got their tablets made, and... go their cakes made?? What the heck were you people cooking, in there, anyway? lol The butler took an hour to clean up your mess. :P I'm exhausted. Please post pics if you took them.

Good god. This thread exploded since I've been to bed. First of all, party starts in 40 minutes, but combat tourney starts 2 hours after that. Secondly, EVERYTHING is allowed in combat. Food, pots, magic, range, anything goes! Like someone said, think of it as a death match. The ONLY thing that will disqualify you is if you use a spell that hits someone else other than your opponent. I don't know if ancient spells works in houses, so test it before the combat tournament in one of the combat rings. You have an hour to play in the house before the trivia starts. Next, I can't add any more people. I had this post up for a MONTH, just because I wanted to give everyone plenty of time to sign up. Last minute entries are not excepted, and I made ONE exception for my dear friend Iodene which I've known for like four years. And shes in the bracket I'm ref'ing, so the other refs don't have to worry. NO MORE SIGNUPS. When you win, the referree of your room will drag you to me. And I'll tell you who you are next fighting. If you have won, and you come to me, and I don't have a match up for you yet, stay with me, until I can give you a match up. Lastly, this isn't going to go smoothly (lol) so have patience with all of the referees. They will be wearing full skeleton armor, and they'll be busy. Look at the first post to see who your room referees are. I can't believe this is finally happening. This party is going to be one to remember! Take pics people! Post them here! I'll move all pics on the first page when the party is over. 40 to minutes to go!
