200M in all Skills
You obtain renown for every divine tear you trade in, and can exchange that renown for lamps of various sizes. Once you have collected enough renown your faction scrimshaw item "upgrades" and once you have a high enough faction and enough weeks have gone by (4, and 7 respectively for tier2 and tier3 rewards) it will be possible to purchase the higher tier lamps. Basically, right now we can only get tier1 lamps, and later on we will be able to get more lamps, but the rewards are obtained by simply getting rewnown for exchanging in divine tears. We can already get tier1 lamps but I imagine it won't be the most cost effective method.

Has anyone figured out good ways to gather tears? It seems like 3000 from the outcroppings will take forever.

I think there was more about the lack of finding the slayer monsters in solo. Not as much T11

200M in all Skills
Perhaps I missed something, but I haven't seen a single post calling anyone out about the validity of their donations. That argument was at least 400 pages ago. Don't forget that moderators have removed posts in the past. :) Also, did we just miss a weekly update or did the surge of posts put it more than a few pages back?

And the people who paid attention and don't like to skill past 120dg/200m xp can use the reset to get back ring tokens and use them for items/xp after/near the end of dg... Which is not really what it was for. And that is why we shouldn't add a new reset, because that is *primarily* what it will be used for.

That is some fairly serious faith in a system which has had very serious flaws in the past.

Future Update Discussions
If you already hotkey everything there isn't a whole lot the new interface will help with... but it has the possibility to make certain things easier at least given the new inventory only slots can potentially add 2 more things to your action bar..

Yes. It was pretty incredibly shocking, however they definitely had a different policy regarding item returning due to glitches back then. Current customer support is a lot more willing to consider it at least.

I believe that if the Falador Massacre happened again today, the rollback and item returning would be a bit more widespread. Jagex as a company is vastly different than it was at the time in 2006.

Squakus is right. At least for me (max cape) XP missions are 35k per adventurer (doubles = 70k)

Skills and Stereotypes
The faster skills won't take weeks if you play 6 hours a day, but it is still hours of a single skill, yea.

Yea. I think it's because the sound will be coming from a new server so they arent' implementing fixes to the old system right now.

They need to clean up the rings from EoC so that they are useful, and ideally so that we can have more than one function active as long as the activity is mutually exclusive. (ie: one range, one melee, one mage, and one non-combat active at once.) That way we don't have to do the horrid ring swap thing every time..

I can't mute some channels and others are always off. I can't even change the volume on any channel.
-

I would rather see the ring upgraded to enable more than one function at once without having to quick swap, seeing as how almost all of the functions at least *used* to be mutually exclusive.

HTML5 beta discussion
It is worth nothing that HTML5 will remain beta while NIS in Java mode will be the released RS3 version, so the HTML5+NIS is bound to be more bug ridden, as they expect it is not yet ready.

That is why I am more comfortable with higher level tasks. (as long as boosts work)

FYI, for those on good computers still having huge issues with HTML5, definitely make sure you have an updated graphics driver. I have an AMD graphics card that is barely a year old, but I just checked and my driver is now like 6 months out of date, with an even newer driver due out soon. (I went from 9.0 version to 12.0 version!!!) Apparently AMD at least doesn't handle automatic updates... I haven't had a chance to try out HTML5 (had to go to work) but once I get a chance this evening I'll update this again.

Interesting note from the news announcement: This is amazing news. :) That means at least they recognize that it won't be ready.

NIS with HTML5 is far better than plain HTML5 (old client) but it still has graphics issues (some things look horrid like anti-aliasing) But it handles a lot cleaner. HOWEVER, the interface takes *ages* to load in html5. The map was fixed though it actually can be enlarged super big and it shows less detailed pictures of the map at the edge, and more detailed at the center. You can't quite click far away though. If you put a walk flag in a super far corner on the minimap, it just disappears. Pathing system doesn't quite like it yet.
