Question on cash amounts
There is always a bigger fish... but I tend to think that larger cash stack is a waste. higher total value though depends on each person.

Coming back from a long break
Dungeoneering is a good place to start but dont get intimidated by it at first. it will feel awkward and slow. try to keep an open mind about strategys for floors.

New Skill?
For me, that's still it's main problem. How many rewards can actually be bought at the DG level they're unlocked? <_< Almost none, I believe. Except stuff in the 90s. Maybe they originally planned on adding tokens outside of gaining xp?

I don't think anyone meant "Never" updated. What we meant was that they haven't done nearly as much work on Ardougne as they have on edgeville, varrock, and falador. This makes sense considering the volume of players in the areas they update vs the volume of people who go to Ardougne. But the fact that massive reworks of varrock have been done several times since the last massive rework of Ardougne.. it is confusing. Sure, lots of textures and small things have changed (and are changing much of the time). but.. it hasn't been as big a spectacle as when large free-to-play accessible areas get updated.

Hotfix: Toy Horsey Phrases
As long as the dicers aren't bots, banning them would be effective. But a bot could just return faster than you can ban them... However, making it against the rules would help alleviate some of the public desire. People won't do it in the ge area because the players could be banned for participating, not just the host for attempting to get people.

Future Update Discussions
I agree. For once I'd like them to upgrade all the graphics first before they do other things. Sometimes this has happened gradually, because when new content in an area is released they do tend to update some of the surrounding areas. I still want to see the trees everywhere though.. that goes a long ways towards updating the feel. It is very annoying that places like Ardougne and Yanille still look the same, but edgeville has had 2-3 updates since then. As for the armors: I hope they don't do the metal armors in batches! That would be bad, we'd have crappy looking runite while bronze looked more interesting. At least dragon doesn't look like a strict copy of rune recoulored red. Also, I hope they actually do remember to update the gilded and heraldic armors. (Pleaaaase make them more interesting also? It would be cool if they were more than just slight trimming on the rune armors)

Question on Multi Logging
Multi logging in my mind is when you log in via the unsigned applet (no longer exists) from a single physical computer. Obviously account interaction should be avoided but multiple people from the same home shouldn't be a problem.

Or maybe they will do that as the elite reward for the next diary

Hotfix: Toy Horsey Phrases
Gambling is addictive because people don't really process the odds. Everytime you win even a small amount you feel good so you keep paying even when you lose. Hosts are preying on people with a psychological addiction.

New Skill?
I wish the xp actually related closer to the skill of the team. I've found that even when I'm good.. soloing a floor is far less experience than being on a *subpar* team. This is simply because the team gets more xp overall. What I don't like about dg is how much effort it is to get 5 people together to complete a floor. We need a much better system than shouting what floors you want. Yes, this wouldn't work for the power/pro players who want the best teams. But it would help getting newer players into the skill faster by reducing the amount of effort required to get a team started. I would love to see duo-trio style minigames or other things for other skills which provided either a lot less grind or quicker overall XP for working together with a friend. Right now, most of the game (besides minigames, a few D&Ds, bosses, and dg) is not really cooperative. I would love to see where you can get 2/3 people together and work on smithing together in ways where each action compliments the other person's goals. Sort of like the blast furnace, but actually *worth* doing, and not requiring full on 5-6+ people who don't all get the benefits. This would promote in-game action together rather than just grinding out levels while I chat with friends.

I'd guess its not the graphical rework of base armors.. I would imagine that update would be a lot more high profile. However, maybe they're committing to a secret update each month not in the BTS????

Hotfix: Toy Horsey Phrases
I would rather they either a) implement a fair system for gambling on an outcome, or b) make it against the rules There isn't really a way for them to prevent gambling outside of gameplay unless they *never* make a random outcome item. I think the loss of great items like the dice is not good. I guess they don't want to say gambling is bad, because that *could* get a lot of reaction. But changing the items gets the same reaction... However, with less obvious methods like the dice, where the odds are clearly stated... Gambling has gone down since the removal of dice. There are a whole lot less people offering to host a gamble, and it is much nicer overall. The less common the gambling enabler is, the less likely people will trust it. At least this is a step in the right direction. Being a gambling host shouldn't be enabled.

The Firemaker's Curse - 11 - Jan
Oh. So that's how it determined who died. Back on topic: I *almost* killed someone in the last room. I had trouble figuring out it was Emmett *again*. Seriously... she repeated two times. I guess it makes it feel more random... but I think it would've been more interesting if each room was random, but still easy enough to spot. I did like how she said "interesting choice" every time you picked someone who was possessed before.. added a twinge of "ohno I picked wrong" terror to the choice.

Runescape Discussion: Why do you play?
I play because I find the game enjoyable, lots of lore, quests, and so much you can do. I meet a lot of really awesome and enjoyable people and I can be who I am, instead of being forced to conform to particular views placed upon me by my family and others I meet in real life. I've found that people on runescape are a lot less judging than the people I know in person. And that is a lot of what keeps me going. Also: skilling + tv shows. I can still be accomplishing something in the game, like woodcutting, citadel, fishing or whatever. But I split-screen a tv show at the same time. It is great. Can't do that as easily with a lot of other games. About enjoyment: I enjoy the game. There are things in the game I enjoy *less* than other aspects of the game. But the satisfaction from completing them is enjoyable. Sure this doesn't last forever. But like any addiction, the game plays upon the very things that we as humans enjoy. Progress, e-fame, prestige, and fantasy. I can be who I want, I make progress whenever I play, and there is some e-fame to be had for obtaining various skills and levels. We can use it as a measure of success. Sure all of these things may not "do it" for other people but... as long as I am living healthy, and earning enough money to pay for food/rent/shelter/etc... Most of life is about filling in the rest of that time. That is why we have hobbies, friends, games, whatever. Just because some people don't understand how runescape as a hobby allows us to meet people and enjoy friendships doesn't mean we can't. If runescape is a waste, then so is much of the modern lifestyle.

Pures
I think its just a stereotype of pkers in general. Also, people tend to talk a lot of smack when getting into p2p combat fights... that just reinforces the stereotype.

How did you force a particular person to die in the quest? It didn't seem like you could control it unless someone told you ahead of time?

A Very Barrows New Year
It doesn't change the total restored prayer of a renewal (doesn't make them last longer) but it *does* slow down drain rate. One way to think about renewals is that they slow down drain rate. So together, the total drain rate of prayers is slowed down but a combined amount. This is can be pretty significant.

Vanity Items - RS Prepaid cards and Ornate Katana
Interesting. Surprised (and delighted) they are bringing these back.. It is cool because it means those of us who missed out might have a chance again. I just hate permanently missing out on items like that...

200M in all Skills
To do pengs effectively you need to have done a bunch of quests and other things which make it not worth the time (Unless you were going to do those things anyways) Also, 15 minutes is good, but its not always like this every week. Maybe if you have friends who confirm for you?

A Very Barrows New Year
I reaaaally want them to fix the doors so that multiple people can use them. AND make the damn puzzles not close when a monster attacks. That is such a pain to do when I can't click fast enough :(

Behind The Scenes January
Have people not heard of the jadinko lair?? Once you get to 83 (easy in any skill with rates greater than 100k-200k an hr) you get a less-click, high xp, free way to train firemaking. Basically there is no reason to worry about getting 90.. jadinko lair can also have the ability to give ugune seeds for juju farming potions. Win-win-win-win.

What's the player base like these days?
Yes. I hate when this happens, so I'm reluctant to qc my levels when they ask back. :( It really depends on your group of friends though. In my clan we tend not to have these "level" wars.
