Whats your favorite weapon special? I love the look of the dragon 2h, but the one I think is the most powerful is the dagger. Overall for usefullness and looks I would say probably dagger. I don't see this going on too much, however... I also do ignore people before it gets that far.

During the Christmas drop, which I just missed, ( was playing, but only level 3ish and I wasn't on that day) there were only I think around 3-4 servers, each BARELY capable of holding 1k players at the time. So at MOST, that would mean a few thousand crackers dropped, but MOST of those got cracked open for the hats and stuff. I would say therefore that there is approximately 200 or so left in the game, since I bet most of the ones from the dupe were banned.

I have to agree. I remember way back when in RSC that combat level did not show unless you went into the wilderness. But then new people complained about how they were really high leveled, and it wasn't until someone asked them to go into the wilderness that they were proved wrong. I dunno, I'd love not seeing combat levels. It would make things easier in game, because people would not have to deal with other people who are all "I'm better than you"

Because of good old times, and because I love doing quests. Also, I have a good few friends who play, and I like chatting with them.

No one remembers me lol, though I do remember in classic pre members that I got free bronze from Bluerose... Heh, and I was friends with Yurida 6 ;) Don't know hwat happened to him. Wasn't the greatest player, or anything, really. Yurida had rune when it was new, and had like top 100 on magic back in classic.

either that, or the people high alching would probably decide to just make their own nats.. Well, if they make their own, its still WAY slower. Which leads to slowing down the raise in gp and reduction of its value anyway. Think about it, if they make their own nats, they will take time to do that, and also will alch less for money because they make more profit each alch that way.

What most people don't get about the intent of this thread is that I believe that we aren't looking for the CHEAP ways to train unless they are also the FASTEST ways to train. Farming, I think if you use kingdom and maples, you can get PLENTY of seeds that its near the fastest method for mostly free. However, if you just buy, the higher level seeds costs a ton for little profit on trees. I think herblore is the winner, if you buy all the herbs unid even, and id and sell all but ones you plan on using, and then buy the seconds. I don't really know, but construction wins in my book, because the ONLY fast method requires TONS of money.

It would actually be very stimulating to the economy in my opinion. I'm no economist so don't think I actually know what would happen, but: Less nats -> higher prices on nats -> less high alching -> Much less money inflow -> lowering prices because the value of a single gp would increase

I think the upgrade should either be higher, or easier to get. It's hard enough right now that its not really worth it at all. If it takes a day or two, then the 300k it saves to get 99 (if you are wc level 1) would have been made up. However, if you are going for 200k xp or something like THAT, then its well worth it... you'll save tons more xp.

An interesting topic we have here. I don't think the problem is JAVA, the problem is the Internet. It has to do with how much information they can pass from the server to the client quickly. I mean, there are OS's written on Java. They just can't send that much information very quickly consistantly given the network they are running on. I think however, that if/when RS "dies" or the company no longer supports it, they SHOULD release it to the public. When they feal that they cannot make money on it, let the people who like to play and have the drive to do so, write basically a private sort of server. Games like PSO v1 and v2 are STILL AROUND because of this sort of thing.

I agree that sometimes Jagex does quantity over quality, but I also think that they do quite a bit of quality. I like BA, but they need a better team system Hunter is awesome, it's fun, and I like the rewards... mainly the capes, but... And I love quests, even the dumb ones. More quests=more qp=longer in the cave of tears.

This is an interesting topic :D I think that we'll see a few more skills Allot of people just look at how much xp an item gives you, but you have to realize that its not how much xp per item, but how much xp/time period. so what if its 180xp a sara brew... if you JUST have materials, it takes crushing the birds nest, filling the vial, putting the herb into the vial, putting the nest into the vial.. thats a TON of clicks... mining... you click once, and get the ore...

I believe it is doable to write a script to auto greens. People have scripts that do MORE complicated things, and I don't believe that the auto programs interface into the web java applet, I think they hack in somehow, rather than use the graphical interface.

Technically, its not against the rules... You are using the games mechanism to your advantage. And AFK doesn't mean leave completely, it means browsing the forums and playing the game at the same time.

Sounds like F2P pking is much more lively and fun :D Also, there are less unbalanced thigns such as the dragon dagger... and ancients which totally screw with the combat triangles and stuff.

I support the wheel theory. With out the ring, you have a wheel, and it spins. What it lands on is your drop. With the ring of wealth, you have two spinning wheels, And you get the "better" of the two drops, according to the games pricing value at the general store
