Herby Training.. Cheap and Effective??
That makes sense DON, but I don't have the farming level for Snaps yet so I can't farm and resell those. But the thanks for the idea I will look into increasing my farming to be able to plant snaps.

Halloween masks
If you are looking to buy/sell rares and try to make a slight profit (aka merchanting) I hear that edible (able to be eaten) rares are the best to do that with but it takes a couple days to buy and about a week to resell, which really makes it not a great way of income more like a bonus 50k (or however much the difference is) every week or two depending on time to resell. Personally I would only buy a rare if you are looking to keep it and not sell it, but thats just me. Just my 2 cents and extending word from the grapevine.

A bit of Hunting Advice...
Red sallys turn out to be about the fastest exp till 80 hunter. Then at 80 with 5 traps you should do red chins to 99 (if that is your goal) Its just the way it is. If you want pure profit then you should do best salamanders you can up to 63 then red chins.

Herby Training.. Cheap and Effective??
Are there any ways to cheaply and effectively train herblore up to at least 70 (currently I am 62, and yes I know cheap and effective are a rarity in this game if ever combined) If not are there any ways to break even? What is the fastest way to train it without worrying of cost? Just a couple questions I have.

Where Could I Camp?
D scimmy is quite possibly the most effective 1 handed str training weapon soo I don't see where your problem is. They are also very cheap. I personally camped at fire giants for a looong time. Its enjoyable and with guthans you never have to leave.. well at least not until your 15 hours of fighting is up, but if you wear other armor and switch into your guthans you should only be healing for 2-5 minutes at a time. That 15 hours turns out to be a very long time. Plus the people are nice and you can enjoy friendly conversation.

99 Fletching?
Well you are already level 70. Yew longs are going to be your best bet from now till 99. Buy your supplies in GE. and then just go to Yanille in world 129 or 144.. I forget which is the Unofficial Fletching Guild. Cut and string the bows. Sell them to alchers looking to buy them and then repeat the process. You should come out with a profit.

Any advice on what to do?
I would say a nice skill level goal like all skills 50+, 60+, etc etc.. That's always a good way to keep busy and jump around from skill to skill. Slayer is always nice for the combat experience as well as slaer exp. If you do go the slayer route definately do smoking kills and save those points for a slayer helm. That's always a good goal to have. (I felt more accomplished when I got my slayer helm then when I got 99 defence... okay I'm lying but you get the idea)

Gold or Mithril?
Why wait? if he can make a mil in F2P and raise his mining by 5 levels its all the better.... Its a million he didnt have before... These people dont know what they are talking about Again you're not getting the point of the suggestion. If he waits he can gain that 5 mining levels faster by mining granite and if he decides to bank all 5kg granite making money with that then with the extra time he saved by mining granite to get the 5 levels he can spend that doing some type of money making method (killing green drags, aviansies, mining p ess etc etc) and make 1m in a matter of 4-5 hours of work. Now he has the 1m plus whatever he gets from selling the granite, the 5 mining levels and the FM exp (should that be what he chooses to train in f2p) instead of just the 5 mining levels and 1m cash. Efficiency is key!... give it a try sometime you might be surprised.

Training mage suggestions
Lava is Earth and Fire. I personally use the air staff because I have a ton of fire runes. If I were you I would use the staff of the most expensive rune/cast cost. I believe fire runes are cheaper than airs so in this case an air staff.

Training mage suggestions
I don't see why you couldn't do it with blue dragons. It seems completely viable and reasonable that you would be able to get a profit off of it with them. As D Jay said. If you are under 70 agility, do the Watchtower quest (as well as any pre-requisite quests) and kill the blue dragons under Gu'thanoth. Thats the best way to get the kills then bank and get right back into the kills.

treasure trail impossible coordinate?
If that is in wildy I am sure it is the Air Obliesk. You just have to go through Edge Dungeon until you get to a ladder, past the black demons. Look at this map here:

What to Buy?
I didn't take the time to read every post but I will give you my opinion on the matter. Firstly, for someone who does NOT want to spend all their money you are going a rather expensive route. D Full Helm, D legs and D chain?? Out classed by any barrows set in stats and use. Melee armors that is come on folks. (I have not compared the stats but I am pretty sure they are) Secondly, for ranging its pretty much my opinion (maybe it is maybe it isn't) but the added range bonus of a Ranger set (boots and robin) does not justify the cost, meaning they are not worth the money. Snakeskin + and archer helm or God Coif would suffice just fine. Ranger ring.. I haven't really found a use for it as of yet. Maybe because I just prefer a wealth or I just wear dueling rings everywhere to make banking easier. Thirdly, do you really need a D scimmy AND a Sara sword?? I bought a Sara sword and haven't found a situation in which I needed a shield when Str training. Now you may say well what if I want to melee iron dragons, well if that be the case you should be using a whip anyway as to gain maximum efficiency as they are not a good training NPC anyways. ---- In short, if this is your first and practically ONLY time (I know you didn't say that but you never know) I say you enjoy it and buy certain items as they may be needed. Enjoy getting 50+ in all the member skills. Enjoy the vast new areas of the map that you can now explore. Do the useful quests that help you get from place to place and open up members in its entirety. Just my 2 cents.

AGS ---- Ouch
I would go with that as well its probably just terrible luck. For every one person (like you) that's had troubles with an AGS there is probably 3 or 4 sucess stories. Try taking it to w6 bandos (if that still exists) and see if you can out kill everyone else. I know AGS use to be king there. Don't get me wrong I am in no way a AGS fanatic. In fact I am biased against using the AGS (being a SGS fan myself) but I am just saying what I believe to be true.

dfs-worrth 20m-22m?
I would say if you use it on a regular basis then yes. Like if you go to GWD or as someone prior to me said metal drags. Spending 20m on a bank space seems a bit out of place. You could spend 10m on runes or bolts and antifire pots and try for a vissage.. If you get it there is your DFS half priced. If you don't get one you will at least have gotten some drag item(s) and decent exp. But then again I never had a DFS so what do I know...

Gilded Altar
If you are talking about in your own house you can get up to 300k+ exp an hour so yes the number of trips increases if you use house tabs + another tele (duel rings, glory in home etc etc) I personally just put my house in Yanille and leave and enter whoever's house is open. This is more exp/hour than running back and fourth from the bank and back as well. I can get 200-250k an hour (maybe more not sure)

Cut and string yew longs or just buy (u) and string?
I believe since the introduction of "string x" cutting is faster exp because you can do more per inventory. I think. I'm not 100% sure though.

3.4m in 20 hours...?
I dunno I took a rough guess and he said yes 1k an hour. Remember its not me cooking. I could careless about 99 cooking. All this is for a friend of mine who has recently come back into RS.

slayer mask
You have a bunch of slayer to do. You will need to accumulate 400 slayer points. Just stick with it and eventually you'll have your mask. Don't be afraid to cancel a task (costs 30 points) if you feel as though its to hard. No use in losing your items for 30 slayer points.

red chins from 70 to 85 range
Aviansies are the best combo of range exp AND money. So if you are looking for both then do that. If you want pure exp, then do Yaks with full void if you have it. 85 range is usually the generally accepted level to start chinning at. You could try Grey chins for below 85. I am not sure of the effectiveness or efficiency but they are cheaper and probably a faster alternative to Yaks or Aviansies.

3.4m in 20 hours...?
Soo since its 20k sharks for 99 and 29k monks for 99. 70 gp loss per monk and 170 gp loss per shark. Resulting in a 2.03m loss with monks through 29 hours of cooking compared to 3.4m loss with sharks through 20 hours of cooking. Thats 1.37m difference for 9 hours difference in work. So he need to be able to make 1.37m in 9 hours or 152k per hour. Would I be correct in assuming this?

3.4m in 20 hours...?
Okay well I am helping a friend determine whether or not he should stick with monks for 99 cooking or go with sharks. Currently he is 94 (so he won't burn any sharks) and you lost 170k per 1k sharks. So he need to be able to make 170k/hour (minimum) I was curious as to whether Aviansies still got you 170k+ per hour (they use to be 250k+) and will the non-prayer method get that 170k+ per hour?. Tanning hides, still a viable way to make money? (I know there were tons and tons of people doing this previously so the method could be dead nowadays.) What are some other ways to get 170k+ an hour that isn't boss hunting?

void or black d hide
Range bonus doesn't matter on monsters with low defence (Like Yaks) So yes it makes up for it.
