  1. Honestly I couldn't say specifics but the scrolls unlock a special ability in your familiar you summoned. You are asking questions about summoning but its new to everyone, wait a week or so then come back with questions. Until then try reading the KB.
  2. the zgs spec doesnt work 100% of the time, it has a chance of failing Notice he says 100% of the time when it hits meaning whether you hit a 1 or a 30 the spec will work. With a BGS if you hit a 1 you are disappointed as it only decreased an opponents def by 1 point. I see your point but I still feel as though SGS > all the others. The healing and prayer regain makes it easily the best GS and also a slayers best friend(next to that trusty guthans of course). I realize this isn't a discussion of which is better or whatever but thats just my 2 cents. All in all good guide and nice explanation of the 2. Comparison and contrasts were really neat to read as well. Also the techniques I had no idea about.
  3. Firstly if you get a Vissage I would say keep it and use the assist system to turn it into a DFS. Its the best shield in game, why not keep it?. Secondly, I sure hope you are killing metals for it. Black drags are a waste of time except to the extremely lucky. Metals are the only thing that you can kill with consistency and frequency as well as having other good drops, not just Vissages. --- Okay with that said. If it is your absolute intension to sell the Vissage. I would have to say don't buy a BGS. Unless you will have money afterwards to have in case you need it. Since you said you have 10m already and a DFS is 28m the drop would equal 38m all together, BGS' are 39m. (At average market price... its 39,877,192 to be exact) That would leave you GP'less why would you want to do that? Okay a santa. Sounds like a good buy, but wait! Answer this, are you buying it as an investment or because you like the look of one and would keep it no matter the price?? If you are buying as an investment I would say best of luck with that don't expect to get a few mil off it for at least 6 months if not longer. The rise in price will be slow and steady and with summoning coming out soon, the price may see a slight dip before it goes back up again. I always suggest to buy rares only if you intend to keep it through thick and thin no matter what but I guess thats just me. --- Hope I helped with anything I just said, if not then uhh :anxious: heh
  4. If anything they are some of the more realistic goals I have ever seen :-k . I would say its 100% possible and you will definatly achieve your goal of 99 hunting with that realistic goal set.
  5. Why fairy ring method? There is a small chance you will get pked abyss rc'ing since PKing is dead (the old way) and the revants are quite the joke as a replacement. Its faster through the abyss anyway. (Try and argue I have about 15 pages worth of proof of which is faster, and the fastest methods of rcing... try me  =; )
  6. Start using red chins at 85. Even if you start at 85 the cost to get 99 is about 50m. So I would say getting 92+ range with iron knives at fire giants (my personal favorite place) then using chins (as suggested) would be your best option.
  7. Agility will literally be used in all aspects of your RS life (that include running that is) so I would suggest going with that. Mage really is only needed to be 96 before it becomes useless to level. Thieving and Hunter, though considered "easy" are still respected. Out of the 2 I would say hunter (the money is always a bonus) As for Summoning. It will take longer than all of them to get 99 and it won't be cheap either. So I would say its the 'most' respected since it will be the newest skill cape out. However I don't know if the skill is actually worth it to 99. ---- Hmm out of the 3 I would say either Agility or Summoning. Summoning will get you soo much attention its ridiculous though. :? . Like wearing a Blue Phat and a Con Cape and full Armadyl (something expensive like that) or popping a Christmas Cracker. :anxious:
  8. I average the same amount of kills at 88 range. So your fine. Also about the pyre ships. I am not sure whether better logs affect your drop chances (I highly doubt it) but I do know that they affect how long the prayer bonus you get is. The better the log te longer the barb will watch over you and give you bonus prayer exp for burying bones. I usually use maples. Best item sup att mix. Worst 9 deaths -.- . I would say with a DFS 90 range and 80 prayer I could probably max at 7 or 8 drags. I heard of lots of ppl averaging 7-9 kills per trip and maxing at 12. There was an amazing video guide with commentary on youtube made by a player on these forums. Unfortunatly, for reasons unknown (at least to me), he took it down. I vagely remember his stats and invent. He had prayer mixes and somehow managed to get more kills than me :-k
  9. If you mean for d stone enchants then no just buy a mud staff. Then when you get 87 mage for Onyx then buy a lava. --- I dont get what you mean by fires? what do you need those for? For Fire bolting you would need chaos and Fire/Air. (if you buy fires get an air staff. Buy airs get fire staff)
  10. D-Stone enchants :-w . Do d-stone until you can do Onyx. Then Onyx till 99. If you want to break from MTA, you can do Fire Bolt at metal drags for a chance at a god drop. Its not great exp but it does break the boredom.
  11. Save for your second mil? --- If you must use it then spend it on skills. Decide which ones are more useful to you and spend it on those.
  12. Fire bolting metals (with chaos guants) is always a good choice. Its enjoyable and the possibility of a drop makes it that much sweeter.
  13. The bank is close to the guild (fally east bank) Swamps are a bit far from a bank though. Maybe do coal in the Dwarven mines if you really cant stand to do iron till 60 for the guild. You can bank at the same bank (fally east) as you could if you were mining coal in the guild.
  14. Not to my knowledge. No it doesn't. Not a bad question though. At least it has some mystery to it and its not necessarily something you can look up in the RS KB. :-w
  15. Keep with iron until 60, then go to the mining guild in Falador. Just behind the Eastern most bank. Once you can get into the guild you can mine coal and bank it for good profits.
  16. Completely Agreed I found it to be ]alot[ cheaper than Alching and 10k exp faster.
  17. Powermining iron is guarenteed exp/hour. Alot of people will suggest granite but that this into consideration. Your mining exp/hour with Granite varies. It can be as high as 60k or as low as 10k. So I would stick with iron all the way. Powerming in Al K desert mine. Fast and easy.
  18. I believe MSB is faster. (personally Seercul = fail)
  19. If you have guthans than meleeing them would be fine. If you don't have guthans then just range them with iron arrows or mith bolts.
  20. Honestly armor won't gain you respect. The only thing that gets you "respect" (its not really respect just attention) is rares (of the wearable type, usually only phats too) So really I would say DON'T get either of them because you want them for respect not usefullness. There is no respect in armor. Also you only have 12m which is only enough for full drag(unless the price rose) in which case you only would really have 1 choice and bandos ISN'T it. Go with dragon.
  21. Oh yes if you use shilo you can bank the fish and cook it later. Its not alot of exp but it will get you some levels. You can mage metals with fire bolt if you have chaos guants. Thats decent exp and the drops pay for the runes and then some. you can even make a profit.
  22. I use Emmy (E) bolts.. Diamond and Ruby seem a bit overkill and pricey. At 88 range I tried bone bolts on steels and Irons. They actually arn't to bad I mean it took me an extra 30 secs to kill them than with mith e, but for low budget players with 85+ range I would say sure use them.
  23. Fastest way to train fishing would be fly fishing and dropping the fish either in Shilo or Barb Village. Cooking, do lobsters with cooking guants. To train mage fast I would say use the Mage Training Arena and enchant with the best spell possible.

I always used a d skirt over d legs. There is no reason to get d legs unless you absolutely cant stand the look of a skirt on a man or enjoy spending more money for the same stats. Torags legs are good but unless you feel like paying for repairs I'd stick with d skirt.
  25. Bandos set is by no means worth it. Tassets? waste, the extra 2 str bonus isnt worth the 13m (ish) Dharoks, I see no use for it in slaying. (if you thinking fire giants and smokey well, meh its just as fine to use brimhaven + guthans to heal.) --- Rune pl8 (or torso) + D skirt (or legs if you WANT to spend money) and you will be fine. Maybe a DFS. If you must. Unless you are trying to get fast slayer levels (well at least a few hours faster) then you can invest in a cannon + cb's. Personally I don't get alot of cannonable tasks often and I don't mind the extra time on cannonable tasks so I don't spend the extra money.
