  1. Thats all good and well but you were getting slow exp. Don't say you weren't either because I know first hand. ---- I would say it will take probably around 15k (ish) Iron knives for 70. Personally I did 60-70 in a few days (week or 2 max) at experiments with iron knives. I use to only play like 2 or 3 hours a day so thats why I say max a week or two. There are no drops but its well worth it. The profits from fire giants really arn't that large. So the fact that you are losing out on 5 or so rune scimmys and 100 rune arrows isn't going to hurt you much.
  2. No you won't die. Read this guide: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=687 ... ing+giants
  3. What level are you looking to get? I personally still use bone bolts and bow. Thats just me. It seems to be just as effective. (maybe its because I still had 71k left over after they nerfed it so I am getting rid of them :-# ) Personally I wouldn't suggest fires until 70+ but if thats what your mind is set on thats what you will do.
  4. 80+ all combat stats (melee stats) to team with a group of 3 or 4 with the same stats. 90+ att and def if you want to duo with someone. Possibly even solo. --- Thats to do it efficiently. If you don't want drops and money then you can go with 80+ stats and try to solo and MAYBE get a kill.
  5. The Incense burners that you can build at certain levels, that are next to the alters (one on each side) and that you CAN light give the bonus prayer exp. The candles on the alter ARE just decoration. If you don't understand now and are still confused then I havent the slightest idea how to explain to you.
  6. the burners are the candles on the altar isn't it? No the burners are the things next to the alters that you CAN light...
  7. Honestly the 100k spent would be worth it and could be made back in a half hour if that. You can always use the +4 prayer bonus (unless your not praying) and the def stats are the same so its not like your spending 100k for less def.. Its not like your spending 30m for a GS for att training when you can get a whip for 29m cheaper. (Not a good example but you get the idea)
  8. If you are P2P then I would say rock crabs with iron knives is right up your alley. I did 21-52 in a matter of 3 hours back when I first became a member. Got 60 the next day. You can stay there up to 70 or you can do experiments till 70. Once you hit 70 I would suggest fire giants all the way to 99.
  9. Personally +4 str bonus doesn't stick out to me as something I "absolutely need". I'd rather keep training instead of spending 2 days at BA tryin to get a Torso, but when I get some free time I will probably go get one to try speeding up training and see if +4 str is really worth it.
  10. Cooking is the fastest and easiest of the buyables. You will spend about 5m to get 99. (On average) Firemaking is the cheapest of the buyables. You will spend about 3m with willows or 5m with maples. (Maples are the way to go TBH) --- For those who are arguing. 99 mining, slayer and farming are among the longest 99's to get. Runecrafting would be fourth on my list of long 99's.
  11. I would say yea sure go for it but only on tasks that provide enough drops to pay for the set. I wouldn't recommend super sets though. I would say pure sets are better, those are just sup att and sup strs (a super set minus the super def lol) Things like fire giants, greater demons. Things like that that can pay back for the pots in drops.
  12. 66-70 can easily (and cheaply) be completed at Experiments with Iron Knives. TBH, if they arn't crowded and you use a moderate Respawn world (moderate respawn world meaning one respawns before you kill the other) you can probably knock out the 4 levels in a matter of 10 hours (ish) It will be boring with no drops but its decent. I wouldnt suggest Fire giants till 75 anyway, thats when you can actually get good exp from them. Mossies are good till 75 as well.
  13. Thanks Kem for all your help. Another couple of questions  1- Where do I get a bolt Pouch? 2- How long does it take to remove/input bolts into and out of the pouch? Can they be removed in combat easily?
  14. Its going to take a long time no matter how you look at it. Longest but most beneficial to you would be gettin it wit slayer. Shortest would be powertraining some where. Most people use Dh at Ape Atoll guards or at Fire Giants in Smokey well.
  15. Got it so Mith (e) bolts for the KC. Nice. Where do I get an Armadyl Pendent? And What other monsters other than Armadyl are in the Encampment and should I bring things that will make them not att me?
  16. You can still make 144k an hour mining Pure ess. Or If you are a member you could try collecting seconds. That is 100k+ an hour depending on which you collect. Mort Myre Fungi and Whiteberries are among the most popular.
  17. Id say metals as well, its really the only place where maging is actually decent. Most maging is good for non-combat, barrows or the old PKing, other than that people don't really mage because its expensive and provides more of a loss than profit in monster killing situations.
  18. }BumpeR{ Any other opinions or ideas. Tips n tricks maybe. You don't have to have personal experience to give help.
  19. Thanks for the replies guys. I'll see what I can do. Another question, should I use regular mith bolts or a crystal bow to get the 40 kill count?
  20. Well after seeing Abyssal_Whip's solo of Armadyl with 74(or 76) range I figured I wanted to give it a go and get myself a hilt. Here are the stats: Things to KNOW: I will get 90+ range. (Working on at least 90 before I go) I have 70m to spend on supplies. I have access to every mode of Transportation and item (thats not more than 70m :-# ) I have been to GW's before. Both Zammy and Bandos, so guides to GW really arn't necessary unless there is a solo guide. Things I'd like to know: 1- Can I do it with 90 range and 66 prayer? 2- Should I raise prayer to do it better? 3- Can I do it effectively? (kill Kree and the generals at least once per run) 4- What is a good Invent and Equipment? ---- It will be at least 2 months or so BEFORE, I even make an attempt at it. So I will come up with more questions and keep this bumped as time goes on.
  21. I heard Stunning a dummy in your house is somewhere like 80k exp/hour. MTA Onxy enchanting was 69k exp an hour for me. (I would assume D-stone enchant is like 50-55k.) Alching is about 65k exp/hour. I know the Alch and Onxy enchants for a fact as I did both of them. I heard stunning was 80k+ exp/hour but it was to expensive for me. For only 11k more exp/hour. Hmm, I can guesstimate on the Metal Drag exp/hour too.. I would have to say at least 30k per hour. (AT LEAST) Personally for me to get 99 mage I will probably do so at metals since the hp exp is good as well as the drops can add up and pay for the runes.
  22. Woodcutting yews would be the best money in that skill. Fishing monks would be the best money in that skill. (I believe) Sharks you can fish like 100 an hour if I am not mistaken. If you can fish 3 monks for every 1 shark then monks are faster. --- Personally I find WC'in to be a better money maker.
  23. [hide=SwiftSwitch Counter][/hide] I used this to count Black Dragons, Dust Devils, Mith Drags and various other things I've tried to keep track of killing. The only problem with it is that I sometimes forget to click it
  24. Great great great guide. Quite an enjoyable read, even though its of little use to me now. Wish it was out back when I could of used it :? Still a great guide. Maybe next add in something for higher levels players and Fire Giants, Green dragons, blue dragons and Maybe Iron dragons. Each spot can train all 3 combats and prayer as well.
