  1. Yea, but I certainly don't want to invest $100 in that tiny little thing when I can just buy a 20$ cable that's always connected. No local store carries any cables over 50ft. So, should I buy the cable or not?
  2. "Bye to low ping". What's that? And also, can anyone please help to tell me if since it's a patch cable it won't work?
  3. For those who said this would work, I just looked at the category it's in and it's a Patch cable. Isn't this the type that won't work?
  4. Lol Wakka :P Also at the post a few posts up about this being real news  "Jagex Gets the Brick"
  5. Hello everyone! I'm sorry, I'll promise this is the last Xbox 360 question topic I'll make #-o . At the moment I still need to buy a 100ft ethernet cable to hook up my 360. I need to purchase it tonight, so it can arrive by this weekend (I can't run it through and set it up the weekend right before Christmas, as I'm going on a trip). So, without further comments ("0mg nub u by from ebaz"), I need to know if this cable will work, and if it's fast enough to host games and the like (if it helps, I have Road Runner so my internet connection is fine.). It will be plugged into the back of a Linksys WRT54G router. This is the cable: 100ft Ethernet Cable (http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQitemZ360002551 ... dZViewItem) Thank you so much!
  6. Shame I didn't get the opportunity to play it, as it's also a shame I didn't get to post my game before Flash Game topics became a fad :P Best of luck with it. I might post mine tonight.
  7. Hehe, ironic you posted this. I too have Macromedia Flash and was soon about to post my own flash game development suggestion topic. Perhaps once I get it posted we could help each other. Looks like your game has lots of potential. What Flash version do you use? (I have Macromedia Studio 8 Pro)
  8. My gaming roots go back to Sonic and Tails 2, on the Sega Genesis. I spend a couple years of my young life on that game, as well as Mrs. Pacman, and the Adventures of Pac Man 2. I eventually got my own TV and N64, on which I played mostly Crusin' USA and Diddy Kong Racing. I did play one PC game, Driver (the original). I found a glitch in the game, and not just a tiny one, a big one, that really got me into it. I was just driving along one day, and I glitched my game, permanently, which is a very rare case. Not that I'm a hacker/cheater, I normally beat my games myself, but I find it interesting to go beneath the programming and experiment around a bit. After I graduated from those games, I got into the Tycoon series. School Tycoon, then Cruise Tycoon, then RC2 (All Expansions), then RC3 (All Expansions). Then after that came Runescape.
  9. I'm in a bit of a creativity block at the moment, but I liked the one that said "His last words were; 'Connection Lost...Attempting to re-establish'".
  10. 1. What to you qualifies as abuse or scamming? Directly what is from the Runescape Rules and Guidelines. 2. How often do you report abuse? Whenever I see someone breaking a rule. 3. Where would you draw the line for who you would report? I don't really know, I mean, I generally make long-lasting friends that don't break the rules, so... 4. Do you warn rulebreakers, if so for what rules? Not really, even if it is a bit unkind. They break the rules, they broke the rules, simple as that :? 5. Where do you must often see rulebreaking? Does this question need to even be asked? Pick at free to play world, and then take your pick on any high level tree on the server.
  11. Aww, such a cute Christmas kitty :D
  12. I need a 100 foot cable, not 50. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... rchInDesc= Pick your color. It's also a lot better than anything on ebay. So I'm guessing CAT6 is even faster? EDIT: It's a heck of a lot more expensive than eBay too. I suppose I could get it, is it really fast? That's more expensive than ebay? How much is ebay selling this stuff for? Anyway, CAT6 would be suggested only because it's newer. It is faster than 5E but you will never use all of the bandwidth of 5E unless you have a super faster internet connection that's faster than 1000mb/s (which is almost impossible). So just go with what ever you want. I'm not really sure, I just want a fully-functioning decently-fast 100ft cable. Thanks for showing me this, I'll look into it.

  14. That's odd, on eBay it said specifically for Xbox. Since I'm not so good at this, could someone go on eBay and look for a 100ft high-speed cable that does work with the 360? Thanks!
  15. I like my name the way it is. The hour I invested coming up with a 'non-noobish', non-number-suffixed name really paid off.
  16. Hmm...I guess I'd go get a gun and take 'em down. Just like any other American :P
  17. I love decorating my house in Runescape much better than in real life. Trying to figure out which branch goes where: 10+ hours Logging on Runescape and clicking "Plant Wintumber Tree": Priceless.
  18. Nope, my xbox live account is 18+ whereas my windows live aco[bleep] is 16. It should be fine, the Ethernet cable doesn't determine the speed, your ISP does. Also, you will need a compatible router with an Ethernet cable slot. Some routers are crap and will hardly connect to any games, check xbox.com for information on which ones are good. Cool :) Ok, thanks. My router has 4 LAN ports in the back also, and I have Road Runner high-speed so that should be good. I know my router is compatible, I can't remember the model number by heart, but it's the router used in most How-To-Connect pictures. Also a question, how did you enter your age on your Live account? I've already preregistered my gamertag on Xbox.com but I don't remember putting in an age...
  19. Hello everyone, as most you know, I will be getting a 360 for Christmas, however, I have a few questions about Xbox Live. First, does the console itself ask you for your age when you first turn it on or connect to Xbox Live for the first time? If so, (my parents will enter their birthdate there, which is obviously 18+) if I tie that to my Windows Live (Hotmail) account that is 13-18, will that limit my playing experience or block it in any way? Finally, the whole reason I'm getting a 360 is because of its online. I'm not too familiar with Ethernet, so would a 100FT 350MHz UTP Cat5e RJ45 Patch Cable work? Is it fast enough to host games and the like? Thanks!
  20. While I'll be getting a 360 this Christmas, the Wii is certainly on the majority of kids' lists. Why? Simply, because it's fun, cool, and innovative.
  21. There's been some rumors that ACWii will be released in January in the UK, 25/01/2008.
  22. Hey guys. I'm buying my best friend a cannon for Christmas, but I don't know if it'd be cheaper to buy all the individual parts on the GE, or just to buy the full cannon for 750k from the NPC. Thanks!
