I can't imagine using curses at barrows -- which do you use? I guess he uses the deflect prayers. I'm using the normal prayer book atm, because i slay a lot and I find the +10% prayer more worthwile, and I can't be bothered raising my prayer lvl to 82 atm, but I will raise it in the near future and probably keep the regular book for slaying purposes. I might change it once in a while for boss hunting though now that I think of it, but only if this thread proves it's better to leech then to piety when neccessary ;)

I've been wondering, why do these clans still exist if almost everyone except for the leaders lose money? In the beginning I thought that most of the people involved were ignorant players trying to make some quick cash, but would fail and give up. But now, a long time after the implementation of the GE the merchanting clans still exist. Surely, if almost everyone loses money, then why do they continue losing miney istead of just counting their losses and get far away from these clans? The answer, i think, is because there are in face a lot of people who are capable of making money in these clans, and the people that lose money are not people getting scammed, but people who deliberately joined and know how it works, but didn't sell at the right time. If you lose money by participating in one of these clans it's because you didn't sell on time, and lost. I wouldn't say it's a scam, but rather a risk-game. The longer you wait, the more money tou can make, but the chance of losing money becomes bigger with every ge update. People who sell on time win, people who don't lose. And another thing to the OT: of course the items don't reach the set price. If they would, the item would crash the moment it hit the target price, therefore people dump a bit sooner, but there are people who want to sell before those people dump, so the dump even sooner etc etc... Therefore, nooone really knows beforehand at what price the item is going to peak. The reason that the leaders make the most money is because they are the first one to be able to buy an item, and therefore make the most money off of it. It's also most likely that they dump the largest quantity the soonest, because they were in from the beginning. I dont bother with merchanting clans because it's near impossible to acquire a large quantity of rising items as soon as they're bought out, and mostly because I don't want to actively watch the market everyday looking for signs of a dump.

Is that a recent update? Like 2 years ago I was f2p for 2 months and when I went back to MTK there were something 30k-ish maples etc in it (I didn't get my items the last day of membership but it surely wasn't 30 days of mtk'ing that were in there before i left members) Same with me, when I became f2p it kept on running till I got members back and collected my resources. As for the question, if you plan on being f2p for 2 or maybe 3 weeks, leave the money in there and get 100% approval rating before your membership expires. If you plan on being f2p for a long time I would withdraw your money, because you're approval rating would drop so low that you would probably end up losing money.

I'm afraid they're going to remove the christmas update :cry:

I had in mind that it would be irrelevant to even conside a nosepeg instead of a slayer helm, since anyone who has a slayer helm will use it instead of the nosepeg, since it has the same functions and more. The only question is if you should use a fury or a salve (e), which is won by the fury.

Worker 1 didn't realise his face was dirty, because he didn't see dirt on worker 2's face. On the other hand, when worker 2 saw the dirt on the face of worker one, he figured that his face should have dirt on it too, because they both fell down the same chimney. They both had to conclude from the other persons face, because the had no mirror.

They're totally doing it to piss you off. Obviously, the whole reason they created the patriarch was to make sure your guide would never be completed. Seriously though, you got as much chance as everyone else there to encounter it, and since it's random you must have missed it before it got killed.

Sounds like a promising year. A lot of the updates they listed sound like quite high-lvl'd , like filling more holes in skills and conclusions of quest-plots. A new skill is usually a great addition to the game, so can't wait for that either, and because they are aware of the importance of high-lvl content, i have no doubt it will have some special rewards at higher lvl's, depending on what kind of skill it is of course. Maybe the new equipment will have something to do with the rebalancing of the combat triangle, or maybe they have some innovative ability instead of just upping the max hit and defence bonusses.

I found killing spectres with a macaw great money and training as well. I got about 700k an hour plus a nice amount of strength exp. Banking has become really fast with the slayer rings. Another benefit they potentially have is cannoning wuth profit. It might not be very practical because you have to bank every full load of herbs, but i guess you can leave your cannon as you bank. I got a question regarding the herb gloves since i've never used them: Do they all have the same amount of charges? because avantoe gloves cost half the amount of charges of kwuarm gloves, and avantoe's are only a few gp's cheaper then kwuarms, so those gloves seem to be best for use if the amount of charges is equal?

What about agility?

Maybe do HAM members till 38 and master farmers from there.
