Just a note - I run BF2 on: P4 2.53Ghz 1024MB of pc2100 RAM (ddr 266) GeForce FX 5500 256MB (below the minimum req. but I believe it is based on a 5700 or 5900 core, just with lower frequencies and a higher VRAM) And I can play at low setting with texture at medium, draw distance 100% (needed for jet and sniping) on 800x600 resolution. You WILL have to upgrade to play BF2... Also i tried playing on 512MB RAM, only to find it nearly impossible. Get a GB of ram and a GeForce 6600-6800. You could probably upgrade for around $200-300 and get much better results than me. What processor are you running, and what socket type is it? Also, What type of graphics port do you have? (AGP or PCI Express)

I've always had this problem at blue dragons, but only every once in a while, and it hasn't changed at all. Also, lag doesn't only depend on your internet connection, but the server, especially if there are many players on it.

Im usually on forums the majority of the time, and even when I play I have the forums open. I find the game more enjoyable while reading tip.it forums... of course some tasks in runescape make this impossible, and those usually get really boring, really fast. Just as Adam said, if I wasn't here, I probably would have been gone from RS a long time ago.

Even though we have that list, overrall I think (although we have no proof to it) that getting new younger gamers from sites like that just degrades the community. Not just adding a few annoying kids here and there. Like hammering down moreso that annoying begging type community. Runescape just shouldn't be another link in a series of flash games. I guess that's what happens though when the game is so easy to load up and start playing. I don't see much of a change in the RS community from when I first started playing in 2001, I got scammed (my full iron :(), there were people begging, and I see little to no difference today. There are just more players in general, not more "immature" players. My opinion though. (edit: wow, somehow I managed to quadruple post, all fixed now)

This is a good thing in my eyes. Ever since RuneScape first started, there were always younger, more annoying players. You do know there is an ignore list, right?

They've always been that small, just ignore them and keep your Rapid Heal prayer on (to slow poison damage), and they will stop attacking after a while. There are 3 or 4 of them in total, all spread out throughout the first floor of the temple.

I find it very useful for treasure trails, takes down that sara wizard really fast. It is definately not over powered, or under powered for that matter, but more in the middle. Bad against heavy armor, but trying to hit a mage or ranger with it and it can be deadly. The special is probably the best special in the game so far. I don't understand why they changed magic shortbow to one special, when the dragon dagger can hit higher and has 4 :? (the special even has "increased accuracy" acccording to the RS manual, while the shortbow has "reduced accuracy").

I already proved this to be wrong in an earlier post... The spell converts ALL bones in your inventory, not just one. Therefore, you can turn 20 bones into peaches for about 600-700gp and get 160hp of healing for the same price as 3 lobs or 36hp. Also, I am still very curious (since I haven't gotten an answer yet) Can peaches be cut with a knife? (Bananas can, so maybe peaches can too).

Have you tried using a knife on them? Maybe you can cut them up and get even more HP per peach. I actually think this is kind of useful.. people may say it isnt worth 2 nats, but I think it is. You could get nearly any slayer task done without having to bank. (sure, you could spend 11-12m on guthans.. but I think this is better ;)) 2 nats = 600-650gp... that would get you 3 lobs, or 36hp. say you converted 10 bones with one spell, that would be the 600 for the nats, and you would get 8x10 hp, or 80hp for the same price as 3 lobs... Not to mention you can do more than 10 peaches at a time.

It was getting a bit old.. I plan on making another.. someday. I changed my avatar though. I might put the old sig back up someday, who knows. I want to incorporate a mage into one somehow, but it just takes so much work.. drawing each frame is very time consuming.

I found out while I was very young.. playing hide & seek and stumbling upon some presents marked "From: Santa" under my parent's bed weeks before christmas.

The ps2 had just as many complaints when it first came out There arent millions of xbox 360s sold yet... and 300 is just a number someone pulled out of their "behind" Just because people don't waste time whining on forums, doesn't mean they don't have a defective xbox.

Anyone checked ebay lately? Even the Core system is going for $600+ USD... This is the same thing that happened with the PS2 when it first launched. This shortage thing really does seem like a marketing technique, since they could have just delayed it. Im not saying they aren't working their butts off making more, but I feel they could have done a better job... especially since microsoft has plenty of money to spare. Oh and Im sure they will do anything to beat the ps3, including a drastic price drop, and halo 3 when the ps3 is released. I think microsoft may have the upper hand this time around, but the ps3 is more future-proof in my opinion (blue-ray, anyone?), not to mention sony has another year or so to work out the final specs. Wow youre the first person ive heard say that. they look incredible >.< If you watch G4, or even read big video game websites, they all currently say they don't look much better than current-gen systems. That is only because these are the first games, they will look much better in the future. Even battlefield 2 or half-life 2 look on-par or better and they have been out much longer. Oh and I think madden 2006 looks NO different from the xbox and ps2 versions, with a few exceptions of some reflections on the helmet and a little lighting effects here and there...

Both? Im actually cancelling my Xbox live subscription... I do not like it anymore. Im a big gamer and I own all current-gen systems, and Im probably not even going to get the xbox 360 when it comes out. Console games don't hold my interest as well as PC games anymore. :?

Why does everyone think of nukes and submarines and sub-machine gunes when all he suggested was engineering? It doesnt have to be modern... Look at the blast furnace.. And the cannon.. Both products of engineering, and they didnt dramatically change the outcome of RS, did they? Things like that, not nukes and jet planes. You people are to quick to flame, you don't even give it a chance or a second thought. I bet if someone suggested slayer, people would flame and say that is pointless, but you know what? They added it. Im not saying, ADD EGINEERING, but I am saying that it is not such a bad idea. I would still prefer carpentry, I just don't think you should all be flaming the idea as much as you are.

I see the definition, and all, but dont see how Engineering in Runescape would be evolutionary... Revolutionary, maybe, evolutionary... :? Erm... evolutionary.. revolutionary.. same diff to me.. I see engineering as a big change, and evolution is when something changes. It doesn't have to be just biology related and such. I dont know, lets not get off topic with one word, im sure what I mean by evolutionary is the same you mean by revolutionary. I just meant change pretty much.

I don't really see guns being any more violent than daggers.. throwing knives.. or whips, etc. They all have a violence to them, and could all be deadly (well maybe not so much whip, but still.) Anyways, he didn't just say guns you know. I think engineering actually sounds like a good idea.. it could be evolutionary in runescape. The day runescape starts producing more machines. Jagex did say it isn't in any particular time, after all. I think we should still have carpentry though... and necromancy, then maybe engineering.

Aren't dragon legs NPC specific? (metal dragons...) Anyways, I'm going to read it now...

Yeah, that would be so awesome *drools* :P I think ill buy Mario Kart, but I generally like to wait until I can buy games used from GameStop... Maybe I'll make an exception this time. 8)
