  1. Praise the Lordi :D
  2. With 3 countries left, they can't loose anymore :D HARD ROCK HALLELUJAH! \m/
  3. At least with Lordi the outfits aren't some sort of gimmick designed just to make an impact at the festival, they've been going at it for years in those outfits. Still, they're the only reason I'm watching this musical lobotomy this year (on mute for 99% of the time of course).
  4. Correction, 17th.
  5. Yup, they were a bunch of glorified street artists. They may have had a chance 30 years ago, but these days it's all about stage presence, nothing more, nothing less, and you don't get that from running around between drums while chanting in a made up language.
  6. Don't forget to vote again tonight :)
  7. Yeah, Finland's entry is stupid... because god forbid someone comes with an original entry in stead of the usual mix of underwhelming folk-pop accompanied by the same stale dance acts over and over again. Anyway, this should be in the movies and music board.

Yeah, we haven't seen that blatantly photoshopped pic a thousand times before
  9. I only opened that long enough to see a glance of the picture. Even in my intoxicated state, I stared straight through that overly large forehead and saw nothing but hot air.
  10. Iirc, Lordi has the 14th slot.
  11. Necromagus replied to 00 Quanta's topic in Off-Topic
Sorry, not drunk enough for conspiracy theories atm, I'll check back in a few hours.
  12. Yeah, because all those other entries look normal  Lordi for the 15th slot!
  13. The death email was absolutely brilliant :P
  14. A very well sequenced album is Ayreon's Into the Electric Castle album. It's amazing how trippy, upbeat and emotional songs flow into eachother without breaking pace.
  15. Yeah, the Dutch entry is right after them, a lot of our 'experts' fear that they will be a wee bit underwelming after Lordi's show... and with good reason ;)
  16. Don't forget to vote tonight :)
  17. So this is the article that netted you that cease and desist?
  18. I have an mp3 on my computer of Celes' aria in FF 3/6 sung as a proper opera. Other than that, I've never heard much of it.
  19. Ehrm, I might be a bit confused about the American high school system here, but what about exit exams on the 12th grade level? Over here (The Netherlands) all major subjects have exit exams on the same level as the year you exit in (which depends on your level of high school). These exams are 50% of your final grade, the other 50% is calculated from tests taken over the last two or three year, again depending on level. The final grades are rounded up. A 6 or higher is a passing grade. You can fail two courses, although failing certain combinations of courses mean you fail entirely anyway. Why shouldn't you be examined on your own level anyway? What's the point of having a 12th grade if you're not going to examine the students at that level?
  20. Meh, I enjoyed the illustrated version of Angels & Demons I got for Christmas because of all the pretty pictures (big Bernini fan >.>), but the story itself was rather absurd. I think his books sold more because of controversy than because of talent...
  21. No matter how much you want it to, in the end this has nothing to do with any of us or our RS habbits (most people in Off Topic don't even play RS all that much anyway). First of all, the kid played for 36 hours straight. His parents didn't interfere with that. They were completely irresponsible and frankly don't really deserve to be parents if you ask me. Second of all, judging from the suicide note he left, the kid obviously didn't see the difference between WoW and reality anymore. If that isn't a clear sign of severe mental problems, I don't know what is. 99.9% of all RS players have parents who are responsible enough to step in when a child loses control of their hobby and/or are mentally healthy enough to know that what goes on in RS has nothing to do with real life. The Chinese kid has issues most of us don't have. Get off your soap box and save it for when you have something meaningful to say.
  22. Thanks for the headsup, I'll be buying earplugs first thing tomorrow.
  23. Pretty much any of the fabricated pop-bands out there created to cater to the 6-10 year olds with rich mommies and daddies.
  24. 36 hours. A day and a half. At least four to six meals. I sincerely doubt it's the game's fault as much as his parents'. At his age it can sometimes be difficult to stop doing something you like, and your parents are supposed to be there for you to tell you when enough is enough. If I was his father I'd have dragged him down by the hair long before he missed a second meal. Also: I'm no psychiatrist, but the kid was obviously dilusional. He couldn't tell the difference between the game and the real world anymore. That's the difference between 99,9% of all RS players and this kid. Mental health. You can come down from your soap box now, we'll end up just fine without your guidance.
  25. Tiger people are sensitive, given to deep thinking, capable of great sympathy. They can be extremely short-tempered, however. Other people have great respect for them, but sometimes tiger people come into conflict with older people or those in authority. sometimes Tiger people cannot make up their minds, which can result in a poor, hasty decision or a sound decision arrived at too late. They are suspicious of others, but they are courageous and powerful. Tigers are most compatible with Horses, Dragons, and Dogsr0ar.
