How exactly does the gun power the railguns? I understand there's an ammo thing, but that doesn't mean it can power stuff like that. Also, the person would die from recoil, literally. That's like holding a barret 50 cal x5 and firing from the hip. Or the ion cannon for that matter.

When exactly did you research it? Along with pulling subspace foam out of your [wagon], and tons of other stuff, when did you have time to research that? Page 22. Although ZPM research started long before that post(maybe 10 or so pages). Actually, not really. Mars was basically a godmod. In reality, the materials and chemicals needed for terraformation cost several quadrillion. The closest thing you could do logically, I think is terraform a part of the planet, and somehow contain the atmosphere in that part. Maybe a dome of some sort. Yeah that's more of what I was thinking. I want to have a long reach so I can reach other systems efficiently. Why do you need terraforming? There are many planets you can colonize that don't need it. Well, the advantages would be that he could be on a planet other people couldn't colonize. So if he managed to set up one on a volcanic planet, he would be able to defend it from ground attack way easier. When exactly did you research it? Just posting an update, if anyone remembers what I said a week or so back... I had a dance yesterday night, with the guy I liked for like two years (I'd dated other people, but always had a bit of a crush on him). Some kid who's been borderline stalking me kept pushing in between me and him when we were dancing near eachother. At one point the creepy kid tried to grind with me, and my date saw and grabbed the kid's shirt, and threw him onto the ground. Violent yes, but it made me really happy. Especially since I had already told him to stop dancing with me like 3 times. Bleh. Anyway, the dance went well other than that, which I'm happy about.

Hex, if it uses an extremely powerful power supply, how is it a paste on bullets? Unless you have your bullets wired to a generator, good luck with that. Also, nothing feasible would melt it instantly. It would first have to melt the outerlayers, then the inner and so on. EDIT: original post edited slightly
