I had a bit to drink last night. :P Loftar thinks the server is getting better. btw about the village... It's near some aggressive Russian alliance that we're enemies of. So we'd like to have access to it as a warp point for warfare. You should be safe if the island is bricked (can help with that). It's also nearby some q60 clay iirc. Island is pretty isolated in the middle of a lake and large enough for a comfortable town. And as a satellite outpost of Pandemonium, you'd be under our protection.

I used to play more than I should have when I was younger. Now I've pretty much quit but return every now and then when I'm bored in order to try out the new content. I play another game for hours a day, but that's only because it gives me something to do. When I have something more important to do (such as real life [cabbage]), I put the game to the side so I can handle my business. I'm not letting video games [bleep] up my college education or social life. If you need to quit, the best thing you can do for yourself is to get your account locked somehow, get banned (most effective thing to do), or just destroy your possessions (even your house) in the game. This doesn't always work for people, but from my own experience, it's a pretty good way to lose interest in the game long enough so that you can get your priorities straight.

Am looking at a map of affected areas. if our map's coordinate system is right, then we lost nothing but a mountain. If it's wrong, we may have lost a couple important satellites, but nothing that would make us quit playing or anything that would hurt us much. Seems possible that the Y-axis may need to be flipped. In either case, the town shouldn't be affected.

tl;dr Loftar is a dip[cabbage] who does not backup his stuff. Server had data corruption because something happened to the hard drive. It was pretty bad earlier and would have probably caused a server wipe, but so far it seems that only a few areas were wiped off the map and our accounts are safe. Weird [cabbage]. Just glad that my town appears to be in a safe zone. Although we lost a mountain. Will have to see full extent of the damage when server comes online. We had an 11 million+ authority town with banners sprawling over like two supergrids... Last weekend we attacked some Russians and were about to bust into their fortress when they used an exploit in order to crash the server at will... Us = bigass army attacking fort Wonder if it's connected somehow. O.O

I only get mad in video games when there's really, really high stakes and almost no room for error, and the game client crashes or you disconnect or something. Then you log back on and you're dead. c:

The number of botters would increase. People would ragequit. You'd probably have something like 'Runescape Porn Day' as a protest by some people. Game would still run.... But you'd have a community of legit players looking down on the botters. So in the end, not MUCH changes. Though there are changes and people may see the game as less of a challenge. I'm not sure what'd happen exactly, so it's just speculation. The Runescape community is very different from the community of the MMO that I currently play, where botting is not a bannable offense.

Funny how I only spent 40M on construction. I just did Stealing Creation for a while and made oak doors. It's a pretty easy skill to train. I had a nice 100M+ invested house, but I destroyed it completely to make myself quit, which worked. I did try to rebuild it in a different way (larger dungeon and surface designed like the POH from that one quest), but I didn't really have the will to build it as I wanted.

I guess my chances for becoming a mod are pretty much shot. :)

I think I'd pretty much do the same if I could go back in time and speak to my past self during my high school years. I could have definitely put a lot more work into my studies, and I could have graduated with much higher than 3.5 cumulative GPA... In college I work a lot harder and have about a 3.8 GPA, and the only reason it isn't 4.0 is because I was used to being lazy (like I was in high school) when I first came to college... And looking back at the classes I was taking in high school and the relative difficulty when compared to college courses, it would have been a no-brainer to graduate high school with a 3.9-4.0 GPA. I should have taken more AP classes in order to earn college credit - AP English, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry in particular. I know I had some difficulty with math in high school, but that was only due to having [cabbage]ty teachers. I just finished taking my second semester of remedial algebra, and now I feel like I have a better grasp on the subject than I did in high school. ----- Kind of off-subject, but I definitely feel that the American school system needs drastic improvements. After going to college, it was pretty overwhelming when I realized just how useless ~50+% of my highschool teachers were. Some of my teachers literally did NOT teach us. And by this I mean they [bleep]ed off to a corner of the room and had us read from the text and work by ourselves. [bleep] those kind of people. This would accurately describe my Biology, French III, and 9th grade earth science teachers, and those are the only ones that I can recall off the top of my head.
