  1. The abyss is still faster - but when I want a hassle free way to craft laws somewhat quickly, i'll be using this.
  2. Hunting is NOT like slayer! It's noncombat!! It's focused on trapping and catching animals, not fighting them! Completely different! Plus the items, armors, and new areas will be brand new too.
  3. The good news is, we know that it's been in development from that time when it was accidentally revealed on that new highscores drop list some forever ago. (That was it, wasn't it?) So they've been working on it since before then.
  4. Really, abyss pkers have little effect on the price of Nature Runes. They simply don't kill enough runecrafters to do anything. I hardly ever see somebody killed, and I've only gotten killed a few times myself when I wasn't paying attention. This isn't the true reason. One of the REAL reasons that nature prices have remained so "high" is because of the price of pure essence. It's still around 110, with no signs of coming down. But even further than that, runecrafters understand that other people will pay a moderate fee for nature runes. Even if no RCers got killed at all, the price would remain where it is. Around 300. Why? Because they can be that high! The demand's way up there! There really aren't enough nature runes to go around. I'll make a post on the fourms, and if it's below 330, i'll have 10 requests within five minutes. Why would I lower my price? Abyss pkers do very little, except irritate noobs who don't know how to avoid them.
  5. The nice thing about the new equipment screen is that it's PRACTICAL. You can easily compare two items, because it stays on even when you switch to your inventory. It's nice to be able to do it in game, and with very few clicks. On the minus side, I really don't like the new buddy icons. I do like the top ones. The orange feels different, but I think i'll get used to it. Overall - I think it's an improvement. I DO like the new status screen, and that's enough. And I know my compass directions, so for me, that's not a problem. When have I ever used the compass anyway?
  6. Having done it for awhile myself, and getting a sceptre of my own, I also think searching's the best option. The time it takes to get the experience is less of an issue once you GET there. The thing with searching is that it gives you the maximum amount of exp. If you've got guthans, hp matters very little, and poison is completely neglectable. However, the time to go to your highest level in the pyramid takes some time. For that time, it makes sense to get the highest exp possible. Just my two cents. I suggest searching, personally, for the maximum exp for your time.
  7. I hope the "..." means you know what makes blood red :D Basically yes, "haem" is the pigment that makes blood red, and it's part of haemoglobin (hemoglobin). Hemoglobin is the part in blood that oxygen binds to. I kinda thought of this when I saw the name of the book. The only reason I know all this is because my dad and I were talking about how if you inhaled too much carbon monoxide, how you'd get red instead of blue. I can see how that the idea that maybe haemalchemy is using the daelyt ore to make blood. I am partial also to that idea about silver bolts. The other thing is that obviously it would be an altar in the space not a ruins to an altar, otherwise people would be making insane amounts of money (almost as much as 91 rc) from it. Based on current hints, the blood alter will be accessed by ruins. Abyssal rifts lead to the inner alters of ruins, and there is already an abyssal rift to the blood alter. Also, in the knowledge base, there is already a picture of a Blood Talisman. Now, there's nothing wrong with making as much money as 91 RC. Does Jagex care about how much runecrafters can make? No. The most important thing is to keep the amount of blood runes somewhat controlled so that Magic can't gain a huge training advantage. By making the ruins far away and requiring multiple hard quests to use them, the use of runners is almost useless, like the Death Ruins are now for example. Allowing the few players that have a high enough RC to craft the blood runes now without runners won't cause too much of a significant change, besides the ability for players who have worked very hard and long to make their own blood runes, the entire point of runecrafting. Even still, Natures will always remain the dominant selling rune, because of their gigantic demand and profit when making doubles.
  8. Apparently to make it more challenging. I know it doesn't seem like it was a huge deal to get those levels once you have them, but in reality, it does take many many hours to be able to do any of the later skill requirements. I think they're fine the way they are. Low enough for casual gamers, but high enough to require a sufficent amount of effort.
  9. >_> And i'd really like to be one of those 3,000 players to take advantage of my high RC. I can't wait for it to be released, I could be rich! =D
  10. I agree with about half the posters. GP is easy to make if you want to. At almost any level, you can make enough to afford stuff if you have a plan to do so. Just playing runescape isn't enough to make a lot of money. Having a plan works, such as, "I'm going to craft and high alch this, or this much." Or, "I'm going to merchant such and such an item." Anybody can make a lot of money if they put their minds to it. If they want to, they can. If they want to play to have fun and find all of that boring, hats off to them. Sure, some guides are set up that expect you to have a certain amount to do it, but you can always scale it down to what you have and try to survive on less. And usually you can.
  11. That's not quite how it works. The scammer drops three mystic tops which are noted. When you die, it doesn't matter if you have a skull. You'll keep the tops and lose your whip. You can't drop any since they're noted either.
  12. This all sounds like stuff out of Scaperune. xD
  13. Another good idea is use the abyss to craft nature runes. If you can afford the glories, that is a way faster method of making money than fletching in general. It takes fewer steps, and less time to obtain materials and sell the products. Why natures? They sell for just as much, and the demand is huge. Simply post on the official forums and you can get 330-340 in minutes for amounts larger than 1k. With 50 rc, you can even use the large pouch, which should enable you to craft a large amount. There are a lot of different methods, as explained in many abyss guides, and a lot of them are plenty safe if you're afraid of losing an amulet. And using the abyss IS faster than using the fairy rings.
  14. Actually, i'm pretty sure Ancients isn't even required. You need priest in peril though.
  15. I remember reading once there was a general store somewhere, or something, somewhere that sold them. <_< I was wondering if anyone knew something about that. Or if i'm just crazy. Thanks!
  16. The evil creatures don't have a level, they can't hurt you and only have 1hp. When used the crystal saw adds +3 to construction. This bonus can be stacked with the Tea and Evil Stew, so you could potentially have +6 or +9 construction while using it.
  17. and this is a hunch? No, it's just an observation. Jagex releases a crossbow update needing many gems and another use for dragonstones. Next week they release an update that gives tons of gems (including the 3 gem rock gems) and tons of half keys. It's quite obvious that the huge amount of incoming half keys was to make dragonstone bolts a new, accessible possibility. I don't know if you thought this, but it was almost implied and I wanted to make sure nobody else got confused. Gem Rocks don't give dragonstones, but yes, they help for the other bolts. =P But I also agree. I think this was intentional.
  18. I don't know if it's been posted, but it's worth mentioning again if it has. Using the new grapple that came with the crossbow update, the fastest way to get to the harpie bugs now is to use a glory to teleport to Karamaja, then go south of the volcano and grapple the trees.
  19. Thanks! I'll have this closed now.
  20. After all the defence lowering charges are used up, does the mask retain its 15% stat increasing bonus? Or does the mask destroy itself. Thanks!
  21. The lunar spell teleports you to the Barbarian OUTPOST, which is nowhere near the Barbarian Village. The outpost is the medium agility arena, by the gnome tree village. >_> But the glory bit is right.
  22. >_> I'm just saying, it's the truth. ^_^;
  23. Yes they were. Life runes were in RS early on, and they were used to cast certain spells.
