Just a thought? Jagex setting up Gaming Community for MechS.
Sonicspeed replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
I agree with the other posters, and would like to add that the "stunning new update" is summoning. -
The problem is that half of your "methods" won't work. Firstly, 3k is the maximum amount that can be "seen" every 15 minutes. It works just like the duel arena did, 200gp restores per minute, so you'd have a bot dropping 200gp for someone to pick up. Each minute. That's less than people can earn themselves, rendering it useless. So that's a bunch of the options you pointed out that are obsolete. Furthermore, finding an empty bounty hunter world would be very difficult. There are only a few worlds that you can play the mingame on, thus, it's rarely deserted. The only true way to RWT now is to sell accounts. Overall, it's much less effective than selling gp or materials in of themselves because it takes so much more effort. If you want to sell a high leveled rich account, that's a lot of skilling and combat work to level a character, causing the entire process to be unprofitable. Finally, after January 1st, it'll be impossible to have a level three with "tons of gp". Everyone will need to make their own money after that point.

I figure, if they should change anything about the player stock, they should make the buy price the lowest possible on the GE and the sell price the highest on the GE. That way, it'll nearly always be more efficient to use the exchange itself. It's an interesting thing though, I wonder if they'll change it or keep it like that.

It won't work. Each arrow "dropped" as a certain value. You can only drop a visible value of 3k every 15 minutes, (more accurately, you "gain" 200gp of drop value every minute, but what have you). Therefore, dropping any near-3k value item rapidly to try to RWT is effectively useless. If you're a member, try getting the accumulator. Gives a ranged bonus in the "cape" slot, and retrieves your arrows. =D

qeltar, your article is amazing. It seems to cover every aspect of both sides of the controversy, and you kept a near neutral tone throughout, which is an achievement in of itself. The suggestions you collected/invented also seem well thought-out, and great potential solutions. I hope some members of the Jagex staff stumble upon it. Kudos on a great article!

Jagex officially rids their game of RWT's!

Whoaaaa, settle down people. I've been seeing "protests" across the worlds, and even on this own forum, and I feel a need to explain the positive perspectives of this update. I support it. I've been playing since 2001, so I suppose I've had a little history with the game. Has anyone tried bounty hunter yet? I haven't been able to get my hands on extra armor, but it seems like a brilliant idea. It's a wonderful improvement over 1v1 pking, in my opinion. 1. You no longer have to wander through the expanse of the wilderness, hoping to find someone to PK. Now, you're guaranteed to get a chance to fight for items AND still maintain the suspense and uneasiness of the old PKing. Someone's out to get you, or everybody's out to get you! 2. If you PK someone you WILL get items. This seems to be the best part of the new minigame. Now, you can actually make a good profit off of pking. 3. It's fair. Now you cannot be a true "hybrid". You must pick your armor carefully, and the pk triangle is, as a result, more balanced. However, it is true that we have lost "clan" pking. It's gone. However, on the other hand, it was never all that fair to those that were pked. Thankfully, large scale clan wars have been maintained and somewhat improved. Epic battles are still possible, only uninterrupted and more fair now, as members of the other team cannot rejoin once defeated. Secondly, now that we have gravestones, accidental death is going to be a lot less aggravating. It's about time that you shouldn't need to worry about losing anything unless you intentionally take that risk. Finally, I can see that the new trade restrictions may be causing some people a panic attack. I agree-this part just isn't fair for people lootsharing. I propose this: Let Jagex offer a new option for lootshare: Cashshare. If this option is on, the item is randomly given to one of the players to LIST in the GE. Once it is sold (it cannot be taken out by any in the group) the GP is evenly distributed. Simple and fair. I'm going to go post the idea on the suggestions forum. Anyway, give Bounty Hunter a good chance. I'm sure it's going to be a blast. -
Not only was the spirit tree moved, but it now calls the varrock teleport something different. It says... "North east of Grand Exchange in Varrock"

The picture I took is the one used in the tab for firefox. In any case, upon looking at it closer, it doesn't look too much like the godsword at all.
-
This is a zoomed in picture. It does look a LOT like the Godsword.

Back in RSC, when I was a super noob and young, I collected steel plates in the Lava Maze. I was, however, smart enough to switch worlds to do this. There were only about four, but each plate was worth an amazing 1.2k when sold to the plate store. =O 'Twas fun.

One really nice thing to know is that you can still make tablets when you're on a different spell list. So, as long as you can get to your house, you can use the lecterns to make any teleport you need on the spot.
-
Just two. It transports two "spaces" of items if you will. So the only way to transport more than two items is if one of the spaces has multiples of that item - be them noted or stackable.

Carat actually refers to the percentage of gold in a piece of metal. 24 carat is pure gold, and as you go down in number, the percentage is whatever number carat it is divided by 24 times 100%

If you operate the ruby bracelet, you can see how much more damage it can take before it breaks. It starts at 275.

The best way to get one without other players is to just kill abyssal monsters - especially the leeches. Everything in the abyss drops all the talismans up to nature. It might take you an hour, but you'd get it.

I'm not sure if the "fullness" of the ship with water having better catches is a myth or if it's true. It'd be a good idea to test it.

Unfortunately, no. Only the regular cookbook is sold. Heckel Funch, the alcoholic beverage seller, doesn't sell them. Neither do the gnome waiters or the barmen, and Hudo. Blurberry doesn't give extra copies either. Blah.
-
I wanted to play the Gnome Restaurant minigame for fun, and I can't figure out how to get the cocktail cookbook back. I can manage without it, but it's easier when I can use it.

Personally I suggest one of the following: Buy plant cure (Catherby farming shop is the closest to a bank) and empty it and voila, vials. Cheap too. OR, Use a games necklace to the Barbarian Outpost. Go north to the lighthouse and buy vials there on the second floor. He carries up to 100 of both water filled and empty. All you have to do is buy them, use the necklace back to the outpost, and use the deposit box and run back until you're out of charges or vials to buy. It goes very quick, as it's mostly unknown and usually full of vials.

There's a double three-log spot a little south west of the gate into the swamp. It's under the first or second pond on the west. It's two groups of three that share a central horizontal log. It's hard to miss. Stand in the center of the three for the most efficient collecting. -
Pure essence and the blood rune matziv
Sonicspeed replied to slayernm613's topic in General Discussion
The thing is that nature prices will not rise. And here's why. People will continue to runecraft as long as they can make a profit. People will only buy the runes if they can profit off of them. Therefore, the nature rune price cannot and will not change. Even if pure essence goes up to 200, there is no NEED for natures to go up in price. The crafter still won't "lose" any money. A good example of this was the switch from rune essence to pure essence. This hardly effected prices, and actually, the nature rune price DECREASED from 350 to 300 after the change eventually. Natures will not change in price. -
If you're buying natures, expect to go to edgeville. A lot of players use the abyss for natures. It's just annoying when a person goes, "OMG NO!!!!!" when I say, "I'll switch if you go where I am, in edgeville." I don't want to waste a charge, and it's quite cumbersome.

Cave slimes are far far faster than the respawn in my experience.
-
Thanks everyone! I think I'll buy irits and harralanders, since I HATE buying and selling, and would probably waste more money in time than the money I would save by buying and selling ranarrs for the same price. Thanks! =D
-
I can actually make money buying ranarrs and selling prayor pots? =O God, I feel like such a noob. I thought ranarr prices were above prayor pots. I better go check those prices.
