The funny thing is , all these tools are never going to be 100% accurate due to their own servers load. Your own personal route to the server you are trying to view, etc etc All connections go through up to 30 different hubs (or servers if you like) when transferring data between the server and the user. Any one of those servers could have an extreme load and slow the results. Results will never be perfect but we get very little complaints about speed overall. Trust me , I monitor statistics on our servers quite closely and make as many adjustments as possible when they can be found, but I cant fix every network router in the world to ensure that every ISP delivers its customers the best connection at all times :) I do appreciate the feedback though, don't get me wrong , I'm not trying to knock your info , just adding that there are way too many factors that come into play when it comes to serving content to millions of users worldwide :) You are right about that but, I continuation of this topic it would be nice to clean out the forums a little, the General P2P section has 135 pages its just getting a little crowded in here.

Interesting to keep the facts straight I now tested the site and forums on Web Page Load Timer (IE only) and got these results.

I was looking up information on Alexa about Tip.It for another topic I was writing and as a hit the post new topic button, the page wouldn't load. I had to click the button multiple times to make it go to the new topic page. With my broadband connection which my computer says is 100.8 Mbps (Whatever that is, I just now it should be fast.) loading Tip.it shouldn't be a problem so when I found Tip.It on Alexa I looked at our speed rating and got this. EDIT: I now tested the site and forums on Web Page Load Timer (IE only) and got these results. So the site is slow and the forum is very slow. So what I propose is a day every six months or so the admins close the forum and the mods and admins clean up old threads, delete all locked topics and just clean up really, that way we can keep the forum and site faster and better. This day could also be used for forum upgrades and such to. What do you think? Any other suggestions to make us faster? Post them here.

I recently saw the sticky topic about suggesting new styles for the forum and couldn't help my self with trying to help out Tip.It. I found five templates which I felt where worthy of being here on Tip.It. Below I will list them and give and explanation why I think they should be included. 1. subPortal Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included on Tip.It is because it displays allot of information about the forum on a smaller page than most templates require, it also has more features such as Google search, a quick search box and quick links on every page. 2. FI subSilver Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included in Tip.It because it is generally more pleasing to look at then the regular subSilver template included in the forum package and because it shows the link for the forum in a new way which is less confusing than what is currently used. 3. FI subIce Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included in Tip.It because it is generally more pleasing to look at then the regular subIce template and because it shows the link for the forum in a new way which is less confusing than what is currently used. 4. Macinscott 2 Template (For demo.) I think this template should be included on Tip.It because however the number of Microsoft and Linux users is still in the majority there are still Apple users on Tip.It and this template will make them feel more at home. 5.
