Stop me if I'm wrong, but I think Cruiser may be referring to what Silverion said earlier: What that means is that the ad of a gold-selling site will be blocked, but then they will change their URL, making the initial block seem almost pointless, since the ad with the new URL has to be blocked all over again. That's not something that can just be fixed in a heartbeat. So the Google adsence filter is useless, its not like there are not better advertising programs with better filters out there including the one that has been pointed out several times in this thread, maybe even just test it to see if it would be adequate.

Some of these videos aren't hosted in Youtube and I don't really know how strict Rapidshare and Megaupload are in copyright issues. Also some AoW guides have even stated which songs are used in their movies. Rings should bell when they give credit for bands like Megadeth, System of a Down and Dream Theatre. edit: And when guides are put to AoW, I think the videos should be checked properly or at least the text read so well that copyrighted stuff doesn't get there. The videos are hosted on video hosting sites and it is not the responsibility of Tip.It to remove the content but the video hosting site whether it be you tube or what ever.

I'm getting tired of explaining this to people on IRC too. If people haven't noticed already, Tip.It actively removes said ads from their rotation as they are found (as poorly as it works, they do remove them). The Jagex threats are pointed toward the sites that advertise these things 24/7 without doing a damn thing about them. Those are the sites propagating the issue. Tip.It already actively removes them to the best of their abilities and you can safely bet Tip.It won't be on Jagex's bad side for actively remove the ads from the site. People need to stop fear mongering and get a clue. This is awful, as poorly as it works, if its broken fix it, Google is not the only good paying internet advertiser out there and I have already made my suggestion if something is working "poorly" then it is not working to the standards I would hope Tip.It would hold themselves to. And as you said they are against Jagex rules not illegal which is what people are posting.

Yes I agree why is the paypal link in some weird language. Google does pay well as someone said but there are other ad agencies that pay better which is why Tip.it does not exclusively use them. Parabola really hit the nail on the head though, I have told administrators for years about Burstnet and I have always been ignored (why i bolded some of ricks post). It really says something when staff tell people to get ad blockers instead of simply stopping displaying malware ads. Why must you display adds from Burstnet, I must also comment that they contain Malware or Trojans. ONLY adds we show are uper banner (leaderboard), right side banner (skycreaper) and 1 popunder every 6 hours (2 in 24 hours) ( window opened UNDER your browser window). If you se anything else that disturb you please to report it and we will try to remove it ASAP ( ASAP mean from 1 or 5 days depend on advertiser because of technical times to find it and remove it from rotation) Actually no the pop ups I receive show in front of the current browser window. And I agree with Mercifull please try Adbrite it is a more trustworthy advertiser. I would like to see more staff created for this purpose as this really concerns me that I can find any links on Tip.It that go to RS god selling sites, has Tip.it considered advertising solutions other than Google. Adbrite is a good alternative. Once again we need more staff to combat these bad adds if we are going to continue to use Google for our advertising. And one more thing does Tip.it have any official statement about there stance on adds selling RS gold after the update and how they plan to COMPLETELY AND FULLY REMOVE THEM?

I agree that it is a little over the top in front of the rest of the class, people are doing it earlier and earlier and now most kids learn about sex when there way to young. I know many people who have done it early but this is getting bad. (Ok, I know I wrote this and it sounds like I don't even care about this but it really is sick that they did it in the front of a class of fifth graders.)

In my first days of RS I remember taking along time looking at the map being confused about all those dots and then finally making it to Varock, I was in that back street with the thugs behind the bank and the rune shop and I ask in chat "Where am I?" and someone says "Your in Varock biggest city in RuneScape." Thats my most favorite moment in my RS history.

I agree RSC classic is dead and Jagex killed it because they made a much better version of the game. If you don't like then its not Jagex's fault you prefer the outdated version of the game.

The auto-messaging would always include a scam-site and/or bot URL(as it still does today), from what I can remember. Wait I haven't seen one auto typer that includes a scam site/bot url? Thats just recently as I didn't play in classic but still that would make it to obvious its a bot?
