  1. Oops, double post.
  2. I pray you never become a personal trainer. I couldn't handle reading past this paragraph and I could barely get past the first 2 sentences. Working out 2 hours per day, no cardio, 5 days a week is going to get you terrible results. In theory, it would work. But in reality, you need to give your muscles time to recover. You have to understand that lifting weights actually rips your muscles apart. If you don't give them time to repair themselves, then you're just breaking them down again and again with no hope of actually making them bigger. Yes, that sore feeling is good. It means you worked hard, broke down your muscles, and now it's time to reward yourself. That reward should be a day long break. If you're looking to tone your muscles, 5 days a week isn't bad but you need low weights, high reps, and you should very little pain afterwards. Lifting 5 days a week will NOT help you build muscle. Just to drive the point home: LIFTING 5 DAYS A WEEK WILL NOT HELP YOU BUILD MUSCLE I don't care how smart or knowledgeable you think you are on this subject or how much you lift, you're just dishing out bad advice.
  3. Has anyone else tried the "genius" feature? I just downloaded the latest iTunes just for that feature and I have to say I do like it. Sure, I could make the playlist myself but with 4700 songs to go through, it is nice to have a program just throw together a bunch of similar songs. If only I could get this on my Zune :-k
  4. Nobody posts on there like they have a brain, theyve been melted away by the vast array of drugs required to actually enter that site. Though atleast their admin didnt wimper during the FAWKS NOOZ and Subeta episodes. Quite bitter today, aren't you?
  5. This is definitely a /facepalm moment. Nowhere in my post did I say I was excited about the new iPod. Yes, I understand how marketing works and how we as customers/consumers fall prey, but it's really not that difficult. You said everyone was getting excited about the new iPod, I told you what they were really getting excited about, and suddenly I've been manipulated to be excited about the new iPod? I don't see your logic at all. I was extremely excited the first day they started testing the LHC : Though I think it's a shame they merely fired the proton beams around the tunnel and called it a day. Now I'm excited for the day they fire those beams at each other :
  6. Thinking of it that way, you're right. We shouldn't be getting excited about a new iPod every year. But I don't think it's really the iPod we get excited about or even the new features. I think it's the idea that there's "new" technology and we could be the first of our social groups to obtain said technology. And on top of that, we can appear to others to be smart because we can probably list off all the new features of our latest toy and our peers will envy us and want to buy one as well. So for a few days, you could be on top. It's like vehicles, they release a "new" version of most models every year and we eat them up when sometimes all they did was throw a year on it and call it "new". So essentially we're not getting excited over the product, but the social aspect of having the latest and greatest things.
  7. A few of my favorites: -TIF -Facebook -Yahoo -420chan (I post like I actually have a brain, unlike many others) -MSNBC Can't think of any more besides the ones I'm not allowed to post
  8. I try not to get stressed, but lately it's been inevitable. The first thing I notice when I'm getting really stressed is I get extremely irritable. So to relax, I: -Workout (mostly karate) -Have a cigarette -Blare some music -Go for a walk
  9. Do you... Own an iPod? I find them to have very good sound quality, especially the iPhone/Touch/Nano. The WiFi capability, GPS, Video player, multi-touch, and the latest software 2.1 makes the iPod by far the best AV device there is. You can even wirelessly store files on an iPod Touch/iPhone via local network connection. He probably owns one, just doesn't have the brains to try a different set of earphones... the thing that really changes sound quality. Or he could even try not getting terrible quality songs. Bet he never thought of anything besides "damn, this iPod sucks". What the heck do you mean Lol? In case you were not aware, downloading a track of music without paying for it from a website (ie. Limewire) is ripping from the artist. Stealing, in other words. And in case you were also not aware, stealing can get you convicted by the police, which probably means imprisonment. Welcome to the internet. We're all criminals here :

    We wish. Very much so.

I was fairly amused by the amount of people at my school who thought we were all doing to die yesterday. The uneducated are funny :P

Today they just did the initial tests. The basically fired a proton beam through the tunnel at nearly the speed of light which means the beam was going around the 17 mile tunnel about 11,000 times per second. Then they let the magents cool for a few hours (I think they said 5 hours, not sure) and eventually fired a proton beam in the opposite direction. Both times the beam came back around. So they haven't started smashing atoms yet, but they do plan on eventually firing beams in opposite directions and making them collide. That's what I'm excited for :
  13. You do realize there's a reason for that? A very unfortunate reason -.-
  14. No, I don't see how that opinion is bad to have. What you're showing is a good sign of a mental problem. Get that checked out asap. I agree that the reductio ad absurdum was a bad route to go down, but there's no way you can actually agree that any claim should just be believed on faith until it's been proven false. One word: Religion
  15. I just read your story.. What grade are you in?
  16. People who will take a shot at a product, then go be a fanboy, mindless consumer, or whatever else you'd like to call them of another product. I'd like to /facepalm until I bleed. The topic about the iPod is going to turn into a bunch of hypocrites dissing iPods then dumping the same amount of money on a different MP3 player. It sickens me to think these people are so easily controlled.
  17. Ok, I'm getting really tired of people taking a shot at iPods because they think they're cool and nonconformist for doing so. It's a damn MP3 player. If you don't like it, buy whatever brand you'd rather be a mindless consumer of. You're no better for buying some other brand. You're just what you hate, but with a different company.
  18. Omg, shoot yourself now. It doesn't matter which one people use, it matters whether or not they know how to work simple tags
  19. No, I don't see how that opinion is bad to have. What you're showing is a good sign of a mental problem. Get that checked out asap.
  20. An iPod is a regular MP3 player. There are just too many morons who think MP3 player and iPod are different things. I'm happy with my Zune right now and I don't plan on buying a new MP3 player soon, but I like the Nanos. Mostly because of their size while keeping the screen (unlike the Shuffle). Also, with nearly 24gb of music, it's hard to find a small MP3 player that will hold it all.
  21. Of course not, there are just too many variables. But you can stick to your morals/beliefs and raise your children with those same morals/beliefs and things will swing your way more often. Of course once they get into their teens, they're going to begin forming their own beliefs/morals but hopefully some of yours will stick with them and guide them through life.
  22. I watched a show about the WTC collapse the other day as well. They mentioned that the steel supports from the areas where the planes hit didn't have the fireproofing on them anymore. I kind of zoned out after that, but I did catch that much.
  23. Don't roll your eyes. You basically said none of us are going to be great parents. What makes you any different than the rest?
  24. Well I hope your children enjoy their abusive, alcoholic father who reigns over them with an iron fist :
  25. I feel ya. I wish more people "keep on truckin" It would be easier for people to drive bigger vehicles if gas prices were lower. Most people are driving smaller cars to save on gas these days.
