  1. I used to be the big nonconformist who was always trying to stay away what was popular. But this year I decided it was more work to be a nonconformist than it is to be a conformist. So now I do what I need to in order to fit in and I'm enjoying school a lot more. And so, conforming has made me happy. But don't expect me to conform to some things..
  2. That, my friend, is not pointless. Would you rather have your kids rip up real $100 bills!?
  3. Snow From the front door: Stairs to the deck: What I could get of the back yard from the door: That's what we got here in Cedar Rapids. It stopped snowing about an hour ago. And I'm none too happy about having slick roads. I haven't been driving long so anyone who rides with me is definitly in for a ride of their life..
  4. You would have loved playing Shadowbane with my guild. All those nights we stood around on our dwarves in nothing but out underwear and teased other guilds :P I'll admit, a girl that can play games (well) is attractive ;)

Ah I have another story. My father told me this one about the house he grew up in. I'm sure he's told me this story more times than I can imagine :P Before his parents moved into their house and old lady lived there. She died of natural causes (no murder or anything). So his parents moved in and as he grew up there, the old lady's ghost still lived there. She would open and close doors at random. And she wouldn't just open doors that could be pushed open, she would open doors that you had to turn the handle. My father said you could be walking down the hall and a door behind you would open/close or you could leave your door closed and come back a short time later and it would have opened (without any people going near it). I don't know how true the story is, but I thought it was interesting when he told me about it.

It could have been a reflection of something off the window. Do you have a dog? Because it could have been a reflection of your dog off the window and it looked like it was outside. If you don't, then I have no clue what it was. We actually have 4 dogs..
  7. I don't reccomend them. They have nice products but oh lordy are they overpriced. actually if you price it out and match everything up they are about the same price as other manufacturers. but if you want that configuration get a http://www.dell.com to get what you want will cost you about 2000-2100$. im actually going for the same specs and got an alienware with the same configuration as the dell, it was like 100$ more but the motherboard was faster. You do realise Dell bought Alienware, right?
  8. Heh, nice to know your opinions come from your dad.. Don't say you're not nerdy anymore
  9. Windows XP Home Edition Weep for me. I'm not nerdy enough to mess with anything else..
  10. I've noticed that too. When I played Shadowbane there were two females in our guild. Every night most of the guys would end up drunk and screw up during fights (though we usually won, it would have been easier if they were sober). The females were never drunk while they were online and most of the time they took things a lot more seriously than any of us did. I remember their sarcastic laughs as all the drunk guys were still as happy as ever, even after we lost a battle. Then they usually signed off and let us to do our best without them, which usually didn't amount to much after our drunken players kept on drinking.
  11. Hehehe.. Sucks to be anyone in school. I have the day off and I'm not really sure why they gave us today off. It's a scheduled day off so I don't have to make it up :P Ugh.. It's still snowing here. More snow = more shoveling
  12. *Note to self: Stop washing dishes*

I'm very skeptical about the existence of ghosts. I used to believe in them but now I always try to find out what's cause the noise/shadows/ect. Examples.. A few months ago I was laying in bed and suddenly I heard my doorknob rattling. I had the door closed because the a/c was on and I wanted my window open. I was a little creeped out at first and as it continued. At the time I just put it out of my mind and went to sleep. Now I realise it was the wind coming in through my open window. Also, when I walk around in my room the doorknob rattles and I've figured out that it's because the floor in my room isn't as stable as the rest of the house and shakes when I walk on it. Lately I've noticed my house creaks a lot more than I thought it did. The other night I was laying in bed and I heard the hallway floor creak. The creaking slowly got closer to my room (at the end of the hall). I couldn't hear footsteps but it sounded as if someone was quietly stepping towards my room. Being the over protective kind of guy I am, my first thought was that someone had broken in. I took off my ring and quietly set it down (it hurts to punch someone it a ring on). Then I turned on my lamp to a dim setting and quietly made my across my room and to the hall. There was nobody there. I checked my brother's room, the spare bedroom, the bathroom, and the stairs leading downstairs. There was nobody there so I went back to my room, put my ring back on, and turned the light off. Soon after I heard the floor creaking towards my room again. I repeated my steps as before and came up with the same results. Then the creaking started again. For the first time that night the idea of a ghost crossed my mind. I couldn't sleep so I laid in my bed for an hour listening. The sound had stopped not long after the idea of a ghost crossed my mind. So one more time I went and looked around, came back to my room, and heard the creaking coming towards my room again. Then I figured it out. It was the floor settling from where I had just walked. It started from I had been and moved towards where I was. After that I pretty much felt like an idiot..
  14. It's not awkward at all.. It's actually quite comical to turn on Halo, hand a girl a control, and say "Let's play!" I've actully done that. At my best friends birthday he had Halo on and nobody was playing. So I handed his girlfriend a control and kicked her a*. Then I let his 7 year old sister and his girlfriend play against each other.. That resulted in a lot of running around, a few gernades accidentally thrown, and not much shooting :P
  15. But seriously now.. I enjoy girl gamers. When I used to play a lot of MMORPGs, I really liked having girls in Vent with us. A nice little change from always talking to guy :P I don't feel threatened by them at all. If they beat me, we'll play a game I'm good at ;)
  16. And I suppose you're gonna drag me out with you again huh? Just don't hit me cause I fling snow at you. :XD: :XD: :XD: Yes. You will be shoveling snow with me at midnight. :
  17. Argh.. It's snowing quite a bit here.. ~1/2 inch this evening by my estimate. I just finished shoveling but I plan on doing it again somewhere around midnight or 1 am. Just because I want people to look out their windows and wonder why the hell I'm shoveling in the middle of the night. :
  18. There's no way in hell I'm getting on AIM if the Pats lose.. :ohnoes:
  19. iiii dont get it ....... You forgot your [sarcasm] tags!
  20. I had a feeling Fad was exaggerating again :P
  21. I thought they said it was 49 yards.. :-k But that was a good kick. I watched the game with my neighbors (cheering on the Bears) and my dad (cheering on the Seahawks). It was pretty entertaining. I think I'll watch sports more often. I'm hoping to see the Saints go to the Superbowl. And maybe they'll beat the Patriots (saying that to make Fad mad :P).
  22. We got a little bit of snow here in Cedar Rapids (Iowa) yesterday. Only .25 inches by my estimate.. Just wondering.. Would this happen to be the storm we're talking about? Around here they're calling for ~4 inches of snow and freezing rain today
  23. All the same. Each operation costs 1 mil. Well.. Now I have some thinking to do.. :-k
  24. Thanks Coll. Sorry I forgot to mention I'm on XP home edition.
  25. The sig does kind of give you a hint :) Heh, I didn't even notice that! I'm so used to calling her Kayla it didn't even phase me :P
