does anyone know what to do with the snail shells or snake skins? they're nontradeable and you cant use a chisel on the shells to make helmets.

I find temple trek/de rott ramble to be buggy sometimes. Several times the route map disappears and it shows my character at the start point. But when an event occurs, I am suddenly warped there. Other times my camera locks and is only freed when another event occurs.

The first (and only so far) time I got the event with lumberjacks I got the top. Also, it was on route 2. I forget who I brought with me, but I think it was a middle level person.

I only used a ring of wealth once, and during that time I got a top! I took the young girl, Smiddi Ryak I think her name is, and took her through route one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the other items I was using all yellow cape/clothed characters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

*edit* Also I got the top from a lumberjack with a non ripped shirt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I would do is i would kill the non ripped shirt ones first (there is 2 in a group) then I'd wait for another one to spawn which is normally about 2 mins I think, and if that one didnt drop anything, I'd kill the other lumberjacks.

I have also spent about 10 hours on this minigame, having got about 10 boots, 7 hats, 2 legs and no top. From what I understand from RSOF, they changed the drop rate of the boots to 50% after the first day that it was released (prior to this all the stuff was relatively easy to get), with the other items making up the other 50%. From the general drop lists that I saw, it seems that the hats make up about 35%, legs 10% and tops 5% (these are just guesses by the way).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The fastest way to get an event is to use route 1 and skip every fight that you come across, but even doing it that way gets you one of the events about every 10-15 mins, longer if you get a lot of the 'birth of a ghast' or 'bog' ( i get this all the time) random events. I guess what really bugs me is that every time that you get a broken bridge event, there is a 50% chance that there will be trees there and no lumberjack kit. It's like Jagex are taunting us....

Kinda all strange if you ask me, like I said in an earlier post the top was the first thing I ever got on the first lumberjack event I ever got. And this was after they fixed the problem with the boots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally, the item I found toughest to get were the pants. I got about 3 hats in total and 10 boots before I got my pants.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This may just be a coincidence, but I found by using Jayene Kliyn on the easy route, I seemed to get more bridge events then with any other person. In fact, I counted and 10 times in a row while using her, I got the bridge event. Not all of which included the lumberjack zombies, though.

3 hats legs and boots, and yet no top...

I first did the trekkin without Burgh de Rott ramble (cause im an idiot) using the hard path with med diff person and got 3 hats. Now that I have done it a while I have switched to easiest person and route one both mini games. I got like 3 randoms out of 12 trips today. (2 hats and 1 boot)

 

 

 

I read the guide and fig out to get the rod of ivandis to work every time u have to first get juve to 1/2 health then it works like a charm. I got a clue scroll that gave me Guthix page 1 (for sale btw), green dhide body, deaths, nats, addy dagger.

 

 

 

I have to make some more Rods of Ivandis now. Also if u wear a snelm the giant snails miss you every time. And whip / dds combo owns the ghasts and shades. Havent even tried usin the Salve amulet. The giant snakes are the only thing that causes me to eat food but I fight them for the hides cause my gf loves to craft.

 

 

 

The shade remains keep piling up in my bank so I work on my firemakin when I get tired of trekkin. lol

Hehe, I was one of the lucky ones. Got 2 tops and the legs on the first day, and the next day they fixed the drop ratio and I got the hat and boots. \

The snakeskins are tradeable and the giant snail shells are not. Shells can be sold to the goblin in Dorgeshun mines area along with tortoise shells from Gnome Stronghold (shame in dumped all them, my 4yr old loved fighting them and skellies)
