Lol, you wanna know what kills your mouse, stringing about 275k yew longbows ;)

I went for 99 firemaking for 4 reasons:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Firemaking relaxes me, I still enjoy the skill even after 99 level.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. I love the color of the cape.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Had tons of logs from MTK so I used them up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Total level

Well I haven't gone for 99 yet but that hits the nail on the head!

Personally i dont think it deserves respect - I think its a pointless skill. What are your views?

In my opinion cooking, fletching, and quest capes dont deserve the respect. I know any 99 takes time, i realize that (i am trying for 99 fm after all). But im tired of seeing the fletching. Its east to do, and makes you money.. I wont get into that though.

One of these days Jagex will make a super update for fming and make it the ultimate 99 to have :lol: .

I disagree. With some of those, at least. Hunter gives a bunch of little bonuses to other skills, and agility makes your energy come back faster. Thieving... well, some people like it, and it is unbuyable. And firemaking is just as useless as thieving (no offense, Dalcyte), but then we could list some more skills that are "useless." 99 Hunter = Over 40M gp IF you catch Red Chimps

 

 

 

99 Agility = You gain energy like a madman

 

 

 

99 Thieving = Yes I would have to say it's pretty pointless but it fits in

Not all skills have a "point" to them.... does the game have a point? Not really, you play for fun, skills are there to have fun with. Some people complain some skills are boring? Do something you find fun. Some of the most "pointless" skills are the most fun, for me at least :)

any 99 skill, reguardless of staus in easyness, is still a 99, all deserve respect. thats my fianal word on that

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That is so true. Although i may point out that people have put skill capes into lvls of how they are the best or hardest to get.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Construction being the most expeniseve

 

 

 

Then farming the hardest to raise

 

 

 

After that is herblore

 

 

 

Then the skills you train ( wc, fishing, hunting, range, mage, attack etc...)

 

 

 

And finnaly the skills you buy ( cooking, FLETCHING!!!!, fire making etc...)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Money to burn(literaly)=work=fire making cape

Some capes are respected more than others :) All of them demand respect though, definitely. to answer the topic, i care about firemaking. It's like mining, it requires constant clicking, it's just faster. I rather like the FM cape and emote... :o

so somebody buys all the lobsters they need for 99 cooking and get 99 cooking.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

what do they do when/if they get 99 fishing, sell all their fish, therefore making there money back and a bit more if they sold their previously cooked lobsters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

buying 99 firemaking can be cheaper than chopping the logs to get 99 firemaking therefore you can sell your logs for more when/if you get 99 woodcutting. It all evens out and you could just say get the "Easier" ones out of th way even though no 99 is easy, they still take concentration and effort regardless, some just a bit more than others.

The cape + emote are hawt, and having a 99 is good, so why not?

99 FM is a decently rare skill cape too see. It requires a LOT of patience, and a high tolerance for repetitive tasks.

* Very fast experience (200k exp per hour with yews)

 

 

 

* Be prepared for future updates with a high level

Keep in mind that it is a relativly good skill to get to 99 should you already have a maxed stat. Trimmed skill capes are quite useful afterall.

I also do think it is a waste of time and a pointless skill, but then again, it would be nice having a 99 stat in your stats and having a skill cape :)

It deserves respect because anyone who has it, has carpal tunnel syndrome. I think its a dumb cape (sorry Oreo, Toast and Blink, the cape sucks.) And, a very pointless skill. Its sorta like Agility, no money is gained from it.

i got 99 fm before the whole "Wow its an easy skill and you get loads of exp" I got 99 fm bc not may had it now everyone and their mother seems to be gettin it
