March 24, 200719 yr I can't understand why people spend so much on a pair of shoes when within 6 months - 1 year your feet would of grown and they won't fit, and then Nike or who ever would of released a new pair of shoes which has diffrent ticks or colours and thats another ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã100 on a new pair of shoes, the cycle continues. Gucci or not - they look like [cabbage]. Most likely wont be appreatied by anyone who doesn't give a toss about the brand on your shoes though; but each to their own I guess :-? Don't get me wrong vik - Gucci is almost the essence of top quality - just for the sake of argument: unless they can understand that it doesn't come from a factory in asian (like most "designer-name" shoes) they aren't going to care much for it. Take Nike for instance - cost of production is almost identical to that of a $30 pair of shoes. After import taxes and such, and the Nike sales team decides on how much of a markup to give it because it's Nike shoes - that's your final rip-off price. And they know they'll get away with it.

April 4, 200719 yr One pair of rather old, beat up...*checks brand*...New Balance shoes. They were cheap, and they work. I don't give a brown smelly thing about brand names; One pair of hiking boots that probably don't even have a brand name, but they're great hiking boots; And a pair of "formal" black shoes. That's it. Anyone who owns more shoes than those, or a single pair over $150-200, deserves to have their shoes shoved up their ass. Jeez, there's better uses of your money, time, and closet space. :roll:
