the_god_of_soup
i have a solution! headline on the front page: IN OTHER NEWS... People who a POH will notice a slight difference in their dungeon. Now, players are no longer allowed to kick players out of their dungeon within 10 seconds of attack. This is to stop the scam of kicking players out right after an attack, and the player loosing their items. who wins? I WIN! =] The spelling and grammar of that email was that of an 11 year old palestinian goatboy who is speaking english for the first timeQuite simply, Facebook craps on Myspace. Then makes it eat the crap.

Kill_Thomas9
To start this little report off, i'd like to say this: KEEP ALL YOUR RARES IN THE BANK WHEN VISITING ANY HOUSE OTHER THAN YOUR OWN! IF YOU MUST TAKE A PRETTY ITEM< BE SURE TO STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM ALL DUNGEONS AND COMBAT RINGS! All the events happened on my main account (combat level 103) name: Frodo_9 Feel Free to add "FRODO_9" if you have ANY concerns about this lure. Breif Explanation of the lure: Some one spots you with a rare item and invited you to an amazing house. It's pretty empty except for the Dungeon. Three Itemers are something to look out for (explained later) and nervous wrecks(if you can tell when people are nervous). Anyways, how they get your items: 1. Owner of house turns fighting on and everyone goes wild, not actually killing each other 2. They all protect melee hoping you are a follower and do the same thing. 3. With protect melee on they can get you to a lower health without killing you 4. They all pile you getting you to a low Health 5. They cast vengeance on themselves 6. You hit them one last time 7. They kick everyone out of the house 8. The person who did the most damage got the drop for themselves (they might share as a group) I have heard stories of people losing their party hats and santas, witnessed by my friend. I almost lost a Santa hat today, and I want to expose this lure to all runescapers. Now on to what happened to me . Ever since the famous "Durial" event (what I like to call the glitch of last year) I have been pretty fearful of strange houses. I dont trust anyone with a penny, especially high levels being nice (simply because this usually never happens) (consider combat levels 115 and up to be high leveled). Anywho.. ... I was trainig my construction and got really bored and decided to go party hopping. Some level 118 in just a whip (Sammysalgado) came by saying that he knows about a cool house: the house of "Cali Ice". I decided to go check it out. At this point I assumed he wore nothing because he might be low agility and want to resore energy quickly. Now we are inside the house, it's really nice. Everything is the best it can be (unlike my house, i'm still on wood), the house smelt of fine mahogany. So at this point we're going to the dungeon, picklocking doors to get to the chapel. Once in the chapel, more high levels are just standing around. I noticed although they are all 99 runecrafting and what-not are typical high level attributes, they were all wearing just whips, and maybe a berserker. Strange indeed (they probably dont even trust each other...haha) but I think the reason for this is so that you can hit them when they cast vengeance on you. So I run into the puggel stick game room and hop on, they start to get nervous and keep saying "yo mate get off from there" (quote of Sammysalgado) I got off for maybe a second and they all pile me syncronized-ly. I hop back on in fear! I tried to teleport from the spot, but it would not allow it. I stepped off, was about at 10hp because of all the 20's being hit on me I teleported. So I go back to the house, this time with three items just incase the weekly updated (as usually created a new bug - although in this case i think the bug was always there, just it was undiscovered). I start snooping around... and I find a level 66 and i was hoping i kill him and see if I get a drop or something. So I attack him, and they all yell at me to stop! they killed me, but I lost nothing. I was ready to leave of boredom, but then the level 66 pop up and well as Sammysalgado, Cali Ice and the other high levels(i did not catch their names). One of the higher levels said "taste vengeance" and I knew something was up. The level 66 died (don't worry, I'm not one of the lurers, I added him and returned the runite helmet and amulet of strength :P). I started warning everyone to not enter the house of Cali Ice in particular and took some screenies. I have the person level 66 who died (it was my kill) saying who did it as well as saying I returned his items. His or Her name was Mets Ownage. About the screenies ... Sorry, but I was too amazed with what happened and I only got a glimps of Sammysalgado talking, not saying anything important. Cali Ice said nothing the entire time (probably not wanting to get reported) I can Only think of One solution at the moment: When leaving a house by free will or by force, you HAve your health restored fully. --------------------------------- And here are some random pics I found of kills. Danqazmlp
That is so scary i don't think i will ever go into a dungeon again. :ohnoes: They need to fix this! Its a shame how people exploit somthing that is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Just another reason to hate lures. One of the reasons people fall for lureing people is because they don't think that people could be so eveil and mean. So i ask all of you people who support lurers Do you think its ok now!? It's not exactly luring, luring is making a charecter go into a dnagerous place for the sole reason of kiling them. This is BUG ABUSE. Jagex i am sure did not mean for this to be fair, as POH's are condidered a 'safe zone' in rs. Want to be my friend? qeltar
Jagex knows about these bugs. They not only do not fix them, they refuse to warn their players. The Knowledge Base, to this day, continues to tell players that they cannot lose items in other people's houses. When I and others tried to warn people on the official forums -- without mentioning any specifics of scams, just saying houses were not safe -- Jagex's toadies (forum mods) locked the threads without valid reason. (One had the audacity to lock my thread not because I broke any rules, but becaue "others might break the rules". Pretty transparent.) Uula
This has been out a while, and yes it is very deadly because most people are not aware of it. yeah and i've been offered for this party about 10 times today so it's getting out of hand, if you have ss or runescape highscores up, make sure you check to see how far they are off the level just to make sure it's real, or just doin't bring anything with you :XD: I was 1.15m off 99 firemaking when I was getting, it, according to the hiscores. So to prove it to my friends, I had to log out... clicky here for a vid of it :P I though that bug had been fixed half a eyar ago though... :-k
wolfmon56
Blink :o I know all about this lurer. My friends do it, and I watched them do it once.. It was VERY creepy because after they kick you there's like a 10 sec layover and then BOOM! The person is dead. :ohnoes: I could tell you what they do, but I don't want to give anyone an idea here. So if someone invites you to their house, Never bring more then 3 items. Btw this bug has to do with lagg. They do something so you cant see the hit your hitting on them and that they're hitting on you, Kick and your dead. So everyone, until this is fixed, stay out of combat rings and dugeons. ~Wolf
Uula
So everyone, until this is fixed, stay out of combat rings and dugeons. I have a feeling that will be forever. Legoluke
it's possible to have experience not show on the hiscores. It only updates when you log out, so if you get say 100k fletching/firemaking etc exp in an hour or so, and don't log out, it shows your original level and experience, while you may have 2+ levels on it because you haven't logged out....
