I'm one level off of being able to do this without attracting the guardians, so I can't make much of an opinion of this. However I was able to do this I would much rather use this alternate abyss than the slayer tower. Just be glad that few people choose to kill them this way otherwise you would have to contend with crowds.

Isn't exp 1/3 of normal in the abyss areas? or just the rc one? Maybe that's why.

This place is HUGE, I know of several other good spots with 2 monsters that aren't far from the entrance. Plenty of room for people.

They only did that in the Rcing abyss so that people wouldn't try to power train there (ancient magics, chinchompas, etc).

I have worse luck there and the slayer tower is much brighter and i dont like to train in darker places hurts my eyes lol.

Call me crazy but I have terrible luck there with whip drops.

Agreed. Ive only had 1 of my 12 there...However...i hardly go there and the reason that i got the one whip in there was becuase for a change i didnt feel like going all the way back to the tower when i knew i had like 20 demons left.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I believe now however i do it more for the fact there are people to talk to there camping...(if they respond to a nubber like me though :P )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways...runescape is an unlogical game in many ways shapes and forms. So to ask why someone chooses to kill monsters that drop the same drops yet in a different and less crowded place is pointless. Thats almost as though asking why someone would choose to have dyed hair when its illogical based on the fact that it destroys your hair. (Lol trust me i know some people that like dying there hair too! Poor poor fella)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yes coming from you as your striving for all 99s i can see how you could pose this question to others...but the fact of the matter is, is that many runescapers cant and or wont want to, or will just never reach all 99 skills. So the few extra minutes...if that...to get to slayer tower and the well known "legendary 85 slayer spot" isnt really that big of a difference to them.

I use ALR plane all the time when im on task or hunting for whips. Btw im 116 combat and guardians still attack me, so I stay near the ring with only one demon respawn and thats enough cause they do respawn really fast.

Haven't done the quest. No intentions doing it too, I assume the quest would just freak me out, as everyone says, it's a stupid quest. AND I hate quests.

im doing my abyss task in here as we speak. yes i use the tower by times, because i feel confortable with more spawns. also like to laugh at all those campers not getting whips \

i like them cos i like to annoying the looters / beggers and plus 85 slayer u might as well talk to people :P ( my m8s go there)

One of my friends just ask me what i was doing and i said i was killing abbys at alr plane and he was like "your flying?!?!???", and i was like "no A L R plane at fairy ring, noob". it was pretty funny

I wish they stopped being aggressive at 116 combat (*points to sig*). Another good thing about the Ring area is that there are not nearly as many whip beggars around. Usually the only people who come in there are the ones who just got RC PKed and they need to get their pouches back. Although I did run into one moron there. He came up and started fighting one of the demons and said that he was going to "help me". I tried telling him that this was a not a multi-combat area and that he was not going to do any damage to the demon. But he he just stayed there hacking away and hitting all 0's. That was the only time that I wished the demon's max hit was higher than 8 :twisted:

Yeah, the abyss hurts my eyes...plus, when I do tasks (which is the only time I kill abbys anymore) I like to use lunars. So, if I finish abbys, I do the NPC spell and then I could possibly get another monster in the tower and not have to go anywhere.
