I have a question for any Conservative Christian, is it immoral to live your life and not have children. As God has said "Be fruitful and multiply" going against what God says would be immoral? So is it immoral to not have children?

I think there are other passages in the Bible were God says that he calls some people to be single all their life so that they can work for him.

I really liked the documentary. T'is one of the reasons i'm rather against religion on the whole. It creates annoying literalists like this cult, who go around spoiling lives.

 

I mean, the scene where the girl said her dad would be glad if she died and went to hell, as God knows best, and she obviously deserved it, was disturbing.

 

And when that kid got hit in the head by that thing thrown from the moving car because the adults were calling the US soldiers dieing in Iraq F-A-Gs....

 

 

 

Yes I agree, but I think he did only concentrate on that radical sect of Christianity, However i found it was sickening how they brainwashed their children into hating homosexuals because Jesus tells us to love everyone etc...

Well, I'm a Christian and I believe that GOD doesn't hate anyone, but he does get dissapointed in people. But he loves us all which is why I would choose him over any other God any day. Also, yes, Muslims well, as far as I know hate all homosexuals. ANd I as a Christian don't hate homosexuals, (Even though people at school call me a homophobe) I pity them, because, after all, I mean, how cna being gay be better then being straight?

He can express his feelings all he wants, hes not being mean about it. Some people are uncomfortable around handicapped people and that isn't contagious. Its just feelings that people have that are unexplainable.

Well, Christians hate homosexuals, right? Well, you're Christian. So we can conclude all Christians do not hate homosexuals, follow? Now you say Muslims hate homosexuals. If you think about it, if a gay guy starts to like you it's almost like a compliment - he's saying you're strong, or sexy, or something. It'd almost be a reason to be flattered - disgusted, yes; but flattered too.

 

I'd be like, "Thanks, but...no thanks."

It saddens me that theres people out there who would slander their own religion and religion as a whole by saying things like this. I am a christian, and i know that hate is the most unchristian thing existent. The entire point of being a christian is not to hate. I will admit homosexuality is not supported in the bible, but its not a major sin. One of the major sins, however, is ironicly "though shalt not bare false witness" , another "though shalt not take thy lords name in vain", saying "god hates [bleep]s" breaks both of those rules, which are considered worse then homosexuality by far according to the bible.

 

 

 

It should be noted "why" its spoke against in the bible. The entire point of intimacy in the bible....well the entire point as a whole is to have children. This is undeniable. Obviously, homosexuality is unproductive here. Thats really it as far as i can tell.

I was so about to just say that...

I have to say, going to gay clubs is so much fun. It's as friendly and pumping as any other club, but it's a lot more relaxed and less testosterone. There's no where near as much sexual tension. Now I have a girlfriend, I think I actually prefer them.

I think the main reason for homophobia in today's society is that gay guys are going to waltz over to another bloke and pull his trousers down. While you do get perverts like that in all walks of life, most homosexuals ARE NORMAL PEOPLE, not being attracted to the opposite sex doesn't make you a perverted criminal, just means you have great fashion sense :wink:

There was a saint in france who wanted to be a virgin for god. She prayed to god every night for help to avoid attracting men. She woke up one day with a beard and men thought she was ugly so they wouldnt marry her.

 

 

 

So if God helped someone remain a virgin, I think its safe to say he's ok with people staying single.

You forget that after saving the woman's life, Jesus told her, "Go now and leave your life of sin."

 

 

 

Am I a sinner? Heck yes. But there is nothing biblically wrong with me warning another person of his sin, so long as I remember that the warning applies to me as well.

I ran across a bible verse that could very well be the cause of the anti gay movement in christianity. Leviticus 18:19 "A man shall not lay with another man, for god hates this". It points to the fact that god hates the sin, not the persons doing the sin. Also i should point out its in leviticus, which is a collection of moses laws, which are changed drasticly in the new testement. Even more intresting, it is among other mosaic laws that include stoning mouthy children and one even stating you shouldnt wear clothes made of more then one material, obviously things that are not observed in christianity.

My guess is a reasonable comparison to this would be these guys that join gangs and start dealing drugs and killing people and stuff when they are 15 or 16. In Biblical times they would have been killed.

Let me get this straight... It promotes stoning kids to death in the bible? I'm in no way condoning such human beings, I have the most minisclue amount of respect for them out of pretty much anyone on the planet. Killing them on the other hand I think is wrong because most peoples brains don't mature till thier mid 20's or something like that. People, no matter how delinquant as kids, still have the capacity to change, given enough of a helping hand, of course.

 

 

 

Sorry, I just find it odd that the practice of stoning children of all people being added in the bible as wierd.
