You could probably get some kind of silver coating to put onto a monitor. So that when the monitor is off it looks like a regular mirror but when light is shining behind it like from a monitor the image would be visible. Would be pretty poor quality and horrible to use and i cant think of any actual use for somehting like this but technically its possibly.

You can do it with almost any PDA out there. Download a program that turns all the pixels black, and look at the screen. I actually use mine for that feature :P.

But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.

Me too, I'm sure there's a mirror somewhere else in your house. Having one on the computer just seems a little...useless. :?

I can imagine people want it for their televisions, so that when it's off it still has an estethical value. But a computer stands on a desk somewhere, why should it be a mirror?

I want one. That would be so pointless but so cool :)

try putting a one way mirror infront of the monitor. You'll proboly get a reflection someplace between 20-45% oppacity(depends on how bright the monitor is and hwo much light is in the room). Where youll get the mirror, I dont know.

Seems pointless and expensive.. But it would be a cool thing to show off to friends.

I just thought of something really cool/funny you could do with one of those mirror TVs, you could set it up so that when you turn it on it shows like, a big scary face ( like those prank games where it says, concentrate on this picture and then the big scary face appears) then invite one of your more self-obsessed friends round, then while they're checking themselves out you turn on the TV and see what happens.

It's a ridiculously hard to set up and expensive practical jokes

That is actually a pretty sweet idea! good for peeking back too :D

About that mirror-tv: wouldn't you get a lot of reflection when the tv is on? Because I already have that a lot, and thats even with a normal screen...
