200M XP: the next "big" thing (after level 99 stats)?

Recommended Posts

Back when few people had level 99 stats, they were only the center of attention. A lot of us would be fascinated and watch those players slowly rise to level 99. However, now, 99 stats are so common that people hardly notice them. (http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=628432)

However, 200M XP stats are similar to the level 99 stats in the old days: Few people have them, people with 200M EXP stats are relatively well-known, and not all skills have been maxed yet (only 7 currently have), except that reaching 200M is much, much harder.

So, do you think that 200m stats will be very common many years from now? Do you think Jagex will release yet another reward for those who reach 200M?

I don't think that Jagex will post a reward for people with 200m xp in skills, but 200m xp will definately be more common in the next few years. Still, not too many people will have that much xp. 99 of a skill is a huge acheivement let alone 200m xp.

More and more people are going and will go for 200m, but I don't believe it would become a real trend. There's many easier ways to get recognised than that and not too many people have the guts to work that hard just for ranks.

Look at attack for example. We got one dude with 200m xp, one with almost 155m and under 10 with over 100m. That shows really well how people are working: only the best of the best are willing to get that sick amounts of xp.

I believe after 1 year we'll have around 40 cooks with 200m xp, ~30-40 fletchers with it, maybe 15 in melee skills (in all of them together) and 10-15 thieves. Few archers, hunters, firemakers and woodcutters might also join the club, but they are some random hippies. We won't see any 200m xp farmers, construction men, slayers or agility freaks in at least one and half years unless those skills get a huge update.

I agree. In about a year (maybe 2) we will see 200Mil Xp in all current stats. Those players deserve to get something for all their hard work, but unfortunately, I don't think they will get anything for a while. It took almost 6 years to get Skill Capes.

Oh, in slayer and mining it will always be impossible for like 5-10 more years so don't expect it, especially slayer. It's one of the hardest skills to level and not that old like mining with romeo lover cracking 100m exp lol...but no one is even close to that guy cause he's insane getting that much exp in mining.

I don't see it getting common.. Lets say a free stats becomes 300k xp per hour, thats still like 6 months of work.

Unless jagex totally screws us over and makes things faster then they already are, its going to be a long while before they are "common".

And yes nicka45, only no lifers go for the big 2 million xp

Please try to add all the zeros next time.

In few months, Zezima is gona hit 1billion exp in total, and all the numbers is gona get swesh up, jagex might do a lil fixing in the high score board.

And lol Elishot, what u said about Nicka gave me the stitches

I had a long discussion with some of my Jagex Mod friends and this is the real scoop....

They are Planning a new real world intervention program to fly from house to house to stop these weirdos from leveling to 200 million in each skill. They are going to start off with breaking down the front door to their house. (Let's all hope the used their real address with them or this could turn tragic) Once through the front doors, a team of highly trained specialists will knock the power off and put on night goggles. (granted it will be daytime, but the effect should be dramatic) From the front door into the room where the agonizing screams are coming from. (Since they lost power to their computer and cannot get on RS) The nomads will be treated to a hot bath and shave to remove years and years of facial hair. (and hair we dare not mention.... to protect innocent children) They will be gently added back into society once they have completed several important counseling progams such as, "Twelve Steps" and "Weight Watchers". A shock collar will be the last important step to ensure a long lasting understanding of staying off of RS.

This program has been approved for other uses also. I just hope Jagex isn't too late for my friends. *Sniff

I think less people will start going for the common skills. I mean, I can imagine why you wanna have an insured spot for #5 in fletching (or whatever). But whos gonna want to be #20 in cooking?!(I'm assuming the ones that aren't doing it for the total xp(like zezima) are doing it for the fame/attention(not in a bad way)). People will start branching out and try to max out the harder skills (so there's still #1 spots in several skills still up for grabs  ). And it might bring ALOT of money out of the game once people start going for construction (don't get why they havn't already, so fast to get exp) and it will bring a few billion coins out ( )

Don't know if this is how It'll happen, but just what I thought out after the past few months.

In response to Nicka45's post of :

only nolifes go for the biig 2000000 xp

Im sure alot of people would find this offensive and i suggest before making a ludicrous statement like that, you get to know the facts first, as you have no sufficient proof whatsoever that would support what you just said.

Tasty -.-

Im back =]

only nolifes play this game for any significant amount of time

Fixed.

I think most runescapers lose their life far before the 200m XP mark

Things are sick and twisted from too much sun and Nazis.

Sex, meth, and death fetishes, both of them have got these.

Guarenteed not to bore ya, Germany or Florida!

people with 200m firemaking xp hippies? thats bad for the enviroment!

my guess would be the same as stated before: more and more people will get 200m exp, but it will not become common, as you need massive amounts of determination in getting 200m, and that pacience is hard to come by.

i doubt it, there just isnt much incentive to go for 200m xp , i dont know about anyone else but i dont keep track of the highscores so ive probably passed many famous or high ranked people without even realizing it

if you thought getting to 99 was hard and tried this i bet you would die of boredom before 50m xp

[omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed....

you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.

Oh you do have a point I never thought about that. You are right.. Who wants rank 23 thieving at 200m xp? lol.. No one.. Not me at least.. I bet that once skills get a certain amount of 200m people in it, it will start slowing down. Cooking has already, with the occasional new person.

Yeah, thats totally true. So I think we don't see more then 21 cookers with 200m XP, unless Jagex changes the highscores. ;)

Empror1 was the first person every who got 200M xp, which was in firmaking. Personally I think there will follow more.

Same goes for hunter, it's fast, free and you make some serious cash.

The first 200M woodcutter will be amongst us soon too and I wouldn't be suprised if more will follow.

OT: Personally I hope they will change the level gap. For some skills 99 is hardly an achievement anymore.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

Well, the 200M xp limit (and the 2B gp limit) is more of a progamming limit that Jagex imposed on themselves, when deciding the range of integers to use for the game. They could change it at any time, rendering this whole topic moot.

Conversely, I have heard plenty of talk and rumour that Jagex might increase skills past level 99.

So many imponderables.

No the 2b limit is a java limit NOT jagex. It is not exactly 2.1b its around , its a bunch of numbers (like 2,193,492,495), 200,000,000 is a rounded number and it just seems like Jagex did that themselves.

And to the person who said Empror1 was first to 200m - No Xxx Neo Xxx7 was first to 200m in any skill, fletching.

ya i suppose it will be, but then some nubbies will still be at the sort of rsc positon and 99 will still be far off, then once a lot of ppl start gettin 200Mxp ppl wil think theyre no lifers or sumthing, iunno, thats a pretty bad prediction

but also, 200Mxp is kinda screwy, thats not actually the limit or sumthing, after 200M it just doesnnt show up but i think it keeps counting, cuz 1 person hit 200m in fletching first, then n0valyfe got it second, but took the first place spot, was it b/c of better ttl lvl? or cuz he had more xp but they both showed up as 200M

jagex should clarify this a bit or ppl may keep spendin big money past 200M cuz theyre not sure if it matters or not

Many people will have 200M xp in the future, but I don't think Jagex will release any sort of reward for those who reach it.
