For 4 years ive played runeascape and made a total of 4 accounts- Metropalis45, Nite Of Sun, Pkranger3000 and f 4 t 3 666

 

At first metropalis45 got banned. It was somthing i did not do because i had been hacked so i went to ban appeal. i choose "someone else had access to my account" but before that it said my account will become locked so i decided to check my recovory questions and they worked perfectly. So i went along with this locking account appeal and my account got locked so far so good. i notice when i went back to the appeal it normally takes 5 minutes max to see if your appeal went through but it didnt. I logged out which was the biggest mistake ever because after trying my recovory questions after this they did not work. 3 years wasted and 40mil LOST.

 

I took a break and gave it a shot at runescape with nite of sun i started off with 100k and went pking because it was the only good thing i could do. With great luck i made my way to a total of 20mil. Later on nite of sun got hacked by a guy i know in real life his rs name is [No naming names] . Yeh i did knock him out irl btw :P

 

anyway he got me banned so i went to appeal ban and choose "someone else had access to my account" again because they did...

 

I also made sure my questions worked 3 times and they worked perfectly i sat thinking if it would work but then realised hey my questions worked 3 times so im ok.

 

I went along with it and locked my account. Now i try and do my questions again and THEY FAIL!! i got so @!@!@ off i went onto my pure f 4 t 3 666 and complained to jagex using the forums. Then that account got locked automatically and yet again my questions dont work!! so has jagex got the power to steal accounts?

 

 

 

Yes they do I have made a video showing exactly what happened using a level 3 account

 

I have checked twice and it is true when you choose "someone else had acces to my account" DO NOT CHOOSE IT

Also to those people think my pc maybe has a virus. I have tryed this experiment on 3 different pcs with the best anti-Virus protection

It's all pretty logical. If your account got 'hacked', you have no idea what rules the 'hacker' broke on your account. Hence, Jagex assumes your account is another 'rule-breaker', bans it, and that's end of story. Any account trying to get another account unbanned is assumed to be the same guy, so Jagex does the right thing and denies the 'rule-breaker's request.

 

 

 

Really, you can't get 'hacked' in Runescape. You can get keylogged, you can enter your private info in the wrong boxes/sites, you can get scammed, but you can't get hacked. So who was it that lost your accounts? Jagex? Or you?

This is to prevent Jagex members who retired from doing questionable acts (although Jagex Staff members would never do that). If Jagex wants to contact you or review your account, they have a variety of tools at their disposal to do so. However, not even Andrew or Constant can see your passwords.

So, so very wrong, they could easily take the accounts if they wanted. The servers are theirs so they can easily get on them, and do you think the encryptions came out of the thin air? #-o

It is true that Jagex is not able to see the passwords, but do you honestly think Jagex needs your password to do something with your account? They have complete access over it. They can set all your skill levels back to 1, change your password, turn your character upside down in the world, and all that stuff. But yes, your password is protected, for what it's worth.

It sounds like bans and not locks to me. The only reason why your recovs won't work is if the people who hacked you changed them without you noticing. It takes two weeks (or something along those lines) to get your recovery questions changed so...

If any of you knew anything about computers, you'd know that you'd have to set the entire server back in order to effect skills, transactions, etc. Jagex does not punish by setting skills back or deleting work you've done on your account. However, if you severly broke the rules, they will take action against your account and possibly ban you to prevent you from doing anymore harm. All account information is kept in a database. Passwords are encrypted so that Jagex staff cannot just go home and get onto your account. Jagex is a company that works for you, they do not conspire against their players.

ya the you cant get hacked part, ive kinda figured that out too, like the only way to get hacked is by like a professional hacker, who wouldnt waste time on games, hed be goin for the big stuff, so like, u must have done something wrong along the way like givin out ur pass. by accident

I personally know someone who was punished that way for cheating back in rsc. His stats got reset.

 

They just edit some numbers in their database. I think it works the same way as Jagex Mods can change their stats to anything they want.

Never Ever Ever would Jagex do this to punish a player. When Jagex 'punishes' rule breakers, they have a set guideline on the appropriate action to take. They may mute your for a few days, mute you permanetly, or ban your account temporarily or permanently. They do not however, set your skills back.

No. Jagex wrote the software that creates and maintains the character database.

 

They could certainly re-write any character data that they choose.

Their status as "Root" system admins means that their password overrides yours.

That was your problem. Jagex must have thought you meant "i lent my account to someone else" with that, and they banned you because of account sharing.

Jagex can do anything they want with your account, after all, it belongs to them.

yes they can change your stats back to level 1. i know thish for a fact because this happened to me in rs clasic they did it to my account on accedent because they thought i was useing an autoer. but i wasent well back to my point is that jagex can change skill levels back to 1 it happened to me and a lot of other people who were useing autoers on rs clasic and in the first couple months of rs2 . but they stopped that after they banned over 25000 accounts in the third month of rs2. if i can find the pics on my comp ill post em on here to prove that the can change stats
