A few years ago on an account I had, I wandered into the Varrock Apothecary's lab. I decided to ask him some questions, and I asked," Do you have any good potions to give away?" He then proceeded to give me one. However, it just said potion. When I examined it, it said," This is meant to be good for spots."

A few minutes ago, I was bored and I decided to visit my old friend, and again asked for a free potion. He said," I'm afraid I'm not the generous type." I was puzzled, and I thought long and hard. Have I possibly discovered the next rare?

Thank you for your time, I am looking forward to your posts.

P.S.- I have two "Potions" so if they are rare- I'm rich.

Hi.

i think they are used for a quest if they arnt then they have no use

ive seen them in the general store many times so people can't value them that much

thats basically like saying eye of gnome are rare items(i think jagex made those untradeable now though)

[omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed....

you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but a potion isn't rare. It doesn't really have any uses. Imps drop them :(

Whoa, what's an eye of gnome?

OT: I'm still looking for answers, although I had a feeling going in this wouldn't be rare.

Hi.

And I'm not talking about the Watchtower Potion.

Whoa, what's an eye of gnome?

pretty self-explanatory... an eye that belongs/belonged to a gnome!!!

he just said that because you already have a potion in bank/inventory, and he only gives one at a time. other people can still get them too, so that= not rare lol

The potion has no use whatsoever, and very easy to obtain as said so before.

And I did look at the quest The Giant Dwarf. I don't remember using it when I completed it, nor did the Quest Guide say anything about it.

And a quick tip, JaGEx has said they will never make another rare ever. This means if you think an item is discontinued, you must be mistaken or it's untradeable.

A great discontinued item is the Toy Sailboat, but unfortunately it's untradeable now.

I had a similar experience. However, I discovered that the Apothecary does still give away spot potions. Just not all the time.

Try asking for one again.

If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.
